We had a lovely stay. The flat is small but had everything needed. The views out of the bedroom window across to the river are beautiful. It was nice and warm, heating worked well in mid winter. The wifi was unworkable - couldn't use it for Skyping friends etc and mobile reception was ok but not enough for good internet. That was frustrating as otherwise everything was excellent, the perfect place to stay. There is a lovely walk down to the river edge 5-10 mins away. It's an ideal setting, one of the nicest in the area.
November cottage is modern house ,very light ,compact ,lovely clean furnishings , Within walking distance to the Estuary ,no views though ,but very easy to walk down , Parking in a small complex of converted barns ,no noise , We love Diitisham been coming for years ,stayed in various houses ,this small but really beautiful cottage , We had a problem with door lock but got sorted very quickly , Dartvalley cottages are always excellent to dealwith ,over the years ,
Cosy clean ideally situated Dog friendly. All the comforts of home. Would highly recommend for all to stay .
We can not fault our stay at The Old Bakery in any way. We were a family party of 6 celebrating a 50th birthday and The Old Bakery was perfect for us in every way. It was very clean, comfortable (the beds were superb) and in a great location right in the centre of town. We will definitely be back!
Great house, great views, great village, great river. great pubs, great food and Dartmouth down the river.. Whats not to like..
Beautiful cosy cottage, clean and tidy, garden lovely. Great quiet location, very close to shops, pubs and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Everything we wanted for a relaxing break. Look forward to booking again.
House was beautifully furnished and in a great location. Lovely views over the estuary from the garden. Would definitely return.
This house really does tick every box. Set in the heart of dittisham with views over the river. Warm, cosy with a log burning fire. Shop/pub on the door step, walks are endless. We had the most relaxing wonderful holiday. Love booking with dart valley cottages, so helpful and friendly. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you
We love Dunedin and always try to go out of season when it is cheaper. I put good value for money not excellent because I am always shocked at how expensive properties are to rent, but it wont stop us from going back .... unless the price increases beyond our reach??? The only criticism and suggestion I would make, is that during the winder time - the heating needs to be put on in readiness for the customer's arrival, especially as you don't want anyone arriving until after 4pm ... which quite frankly I think is too late! It used to be after 2pm and has now snook up to 4pm with many agencies ...more
Perfect location for visiting Dartmouth any time of year. Visited for Xmas week and accommodation was warm and welcoming with great views over the river Dart. Within walking distance of town and castle. Parking outside is on a first come basis but a small price to pay for location. Would highly recommend.
A very cosy Christmas at THE NOOK .Very efficient wood burning stove plenty of wood supplied. Attractive interior, Well appointed kitchen Comfortable bed and pretty bedroom. A grab handle would be a useful addition to enable access to the bath. Heating was off when we arrived but a quick phone call and a helpful neighbour arrived and everything was fine and lovely and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this pretty cottage.
As always dittisham is a heavenly location for a get away from it all break and there is no better cottage to stay in than Tunis, we brought our dog with us for the 1st time and she was able to potter along the quay with the kids. The cottage won't suit everyone as you need to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom but for a family it's fine. Dart valley cottages think of everything you could possibly need in a home from home and we'll be coming back as often as possible
We have been going to the flat several times a year for 15 years we just love being there. The flat has a lovely view and is spacious and meets our every need.
Being able to see the water, town and park your car is very unusual in Dartmouth Old Town. Add to that the unique exterior and unusual high-end Scandi-style interior, this is a special place to stay. You will get fit climbing the stairs....
Enjoyed our stay. The house is ideal for a large number of people, in our case grandparents, their children & grandchildren. Did have an issue with the gardener from next door letting herself into the house unannounced but otherwise very happy with everything.
Lovely cottage in good location but be aware it is on a very steep hill and parking is difficult. DO NOT UPSET A VERY ANGRY LADY BY SHARING HER PARKING BAY, even if her one car still left space for another two.
A lovely comfortable cottage in a lovely location. The heating system was excellent providing a very warm and cosy stay. We love the village of Dittisham with lovely walks and easy access to Dartmouth via the delightful little ferry from the quay side. The Ferryboat Inn provides and very welcome stop off before the hike up the hill. We have stayed here several times and will be back again.
Simple but comfortable and unfussy. Loved being able to walk in the grounds, great for the dog.Did not use the car for the whole week.
We have stayed at a couple of other places at Dittisham Court and knew that the location was perfect for us. There is excellent walking from the house. Immediate fine views and 2 friendly pubs in the village. The house has a really good, light sitting room for the house's size. 2 double bedrooms make it ideal for 4 adults. The kitchen was well equipped although only having 4 knives called for attention to washing up. Unfortunately the flooring is not well laid meaning that if anyone stayed up when others were in bed below they could not sleep for the noise. The decking outside the door was rea...more
Very comfortable cottage in a great village location with views across the beautiful River Dart to Stoke Gabriel. The cottage is very clean, warm, cosy and furnished to a high specification. There are some great books about the local area which we enjoyed reading by the log fire. Within easy walking distance to pubs, shop and restaurant in Dittisham. Good access to many great walks, South Hams beaches, Dartmouth, Dartmoor. Any downsides.... bath towels are very small, no dishwasher, no guaranteed parking and steep, winding stairs to bedrooms. However, we would highly recommend a stay in t...more
Covers on sofas didn't fit .......................................................................................................................................
Cottage was ok; kitchen was small and dark and unappealing to cook in so didn't bother and ate out instead, even with the fire going the lounge was cold, parking was much further away than expected - about 500 yards away up a steep hill, and cost £5 per day... not the end of the world but added a lot of effort each day getting the family out. But the location is very pretty and the pub was friendly. We had great weather for February so all had a good time. But sadly we won't miss the cottage.
