The house is really well equipped and comfortable. Lovely beds and bedding, nicely furnished and a great kitchen.
The walk back from town is straightforward and not too strenuous. People with limited mobility might find outside steps and the steps between bedroom and bathroom difficult though.
We were a little disappointed by the outside space which we knew to be small and narrow but it was very narrow and not very well looked after. Nice chairs and drop down table but the floor needed a good clean and the wall painting. I like to be able to sit and eat outside if it’s sunny but this wasn’t really possible.
It was nice having the coffee pods provided and lovely coffee machine however once you have run out you can’t buy any of that type except online.
Dartmouth is lovely with loads to do.

Hillside cottage is a beautiful house that has been designed and styled gorgeously, with the most amazingly comfortable bed, in fact it’s probably the best bed I’ve slept in, in any holiday accommodation! The only slight issues were some of the pots and pans in the kitchen were dirty on arrival so these could do with being checked and there was a slightly unpleasant odour from the drainage system in the bathroom.

We stayed for 4 nights in May. This is a well designed house, with a spacious sitting room and dining area right by the kitchen on the ground floor, which was nice and cool during the recent heatwave. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and very well presented, with good mattresses and excellent linen and towels. There are nice touches and features such as the internal shutters at the front of the house, pictures from local artists, all decorated to a high standard. The bathroom has a powerful waterfall shower and beautiful marble tiling. Not far to walk into the town centre where the parking is located. The Dart Valley team were all very helpful and communicative, especially when we needed to amend our booking.

We really enjoyed out stay at the house, it was very clean well kitted out and in a great location. It was only about an 8 minute walk to the centre of town, although there was a bit of a hill on the way back up it wasn't too bad and managed fine by older people that we with us. would definitely book again with the same company.

Excellent accommodation. Would stay at Hillside Cottage again. Beds very comfortable and kitchen equipment adequate although a heavy based frying pan would be beneficial especially as I intend to go again. Thankyou
