Little Plum is a newly decorated gem of a cottage, nestled in the heart of this delightful village. This much-loved home has been given a full makeover. Crisp whites blend with wood flooring, giving a refreshing and airy space. A compact cottage, but the open-plan living area is superbly spacious - as the wooden ceiling beams and capacious decorative fireplace give plenty of room to relax and dine. And the well-equipped galley kitchen has all you need to cook delicious meals.

Perfect retreat

Gorgeous little, characterful cottage. Perfect for exploring the local area. Well placed by Dittisham church and the Red Lion. 5 minutes walk to the Ferry Boat Inn and the ferry crossings. The bedroom is on the ground floor, with the small bathroom. Lovely comfy bed. Would recommend a full length curtain to the front door though as it was quite draughty, and also the front door looks straight into the bathroom so you can be a bit exposed! Also some blankets to add some comfort on chill nights. But otherwise a really nice base and would visit again.

Little Plum was perfect for a winter break - warm and cosy with everything you need. Plus a short walk to the lovely Red Lion pub! We had one small electrical problem but Dart Valley Cottages responded quickly which was welcomed. We realised when the guy came out that it wasn't actually a problem with the kettle/toaster but more of a problem with a couple of the sockets so hope you can get these sorted before new guests arrive. One thing we didn't bring was a torch and the lane is very dark - so future guests, bring one (or use the torch on your phone).

Just a couple of suggestions for the property. There was no blind or curtain for the front door or upstairs window. Being winter, it would be nice to have something to hang somehow over the front door window (I used a towel as there is bar there to hang something up). I am sure something could be rigged up for upstairs too.
I couldn't see a dustpan and brush, just the hoover. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place.
I couldn't quite work out the rubbish system as there are no boxes etc for recycling materials. Was one meant to put everything in the bag outside the door? The instructions seemed to be generic ones, rather than ones specific to the property. As I know Dittisham from days past, I knew where I could put some of my recyclables.
Otherwise, quiet, comfortable and well equipped.
Thank you

Have stayed here twice before before, so knew what to expect, suited my purpose of being close to my daughter who stays in another property nearby.
Your description of the property being "close to the quay", is misleading,as it couldn't be much further from the quay. This was not a problem to me,as I was already aware of it's location from my previous visits, however if I had been staying for the first time I WOULD have been disapointed with the arduose walk to and from the quay!

The walk would not be vary easy for anyone who is not completely mobile, and reasonably fit...

Stayed here for a few nights and it was the most adorable little cottage to come back to after long days at the beach.
Cosy, clean and super comfortable. Kitchen has all the things you need to cook a meal, and the washing machine is was very handy. Location is wonderful. Such a beautiful street. There is no parking but I read that before I booked so I had no issues parking a couple of minutes round the corner. It meant I could see a little more of the village!
Would 100% stay here again!
