We really enjoyed our stay at Ollie's Cottage. A true "home from home". Very clean and comfortable and difficult to say how it could be improved.

In respect of the area, this was the first time I have visited the Dart Estuary. What a wonderful part of the country, plenty to do and see and everyone is extremely friendly.

Cannot praise the area or cottage enough.

We have now stayed in Ollie’s cottage about 5 times. We like its position in the village and it has all the room we need. It is well furnished and the kitchen has everything you need. We love the herbs and spices in the cupboard for use by guests. So many houses have nothing. We will be sad if it is sold as otherwise we would certainly book to go again

A lovely cottage in a great location. Very comfortable and well appointed inside with the added bonus of parking (which can be an issue in Dittisham). Very handy for the pub, shop, post office in the Red Lion.

One or two issues with the television in that we were unable to access Netflix, Iplayer etc. as advertised. Also one of the chairs in the living room had obviously been favoured by a dog in the past and could do with some deep cleaning. However these small issues didn't spoil our holiday in this lovely place.

Lovely place to stay. Versatile cottage and location. Love it that there are bits and pieces in the cupboard so you don't have to bring an entire kitchen cabinet. Rubbish disposal a bit complicated. I think dustmen come on Wednesday not Friday.

Met all our needs for a long weekend in Dittisham. Quiet and comfortable. Great views of Dart estuary from ground and 1st floor. We did not use but exceptionally well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher etc if staying for longer. We are regular visitors to the area and would certainly book this cottage again.

We were very happy with Ollie’s cottage. It was our second stay in 2 years in Dittisham, and we found Ollie’s location very convenient for all our activities. The cottage is very well-equipped and comfortable, with handy parking. We were very lucky with the weather, and especially enjoyed the ‘Round Robin’ boat, bus and train trip round the Dart Valley, a fascinating (very early morning!) tour of Brixham Fish Market, and visits to Greenway, beautiful Coleton Fishacre and amazing Fast Rabbits Farm. We would definitely like to see all the gardens again in the Spring, and would happily return to Ollie’s Cottage. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely holiday but sleeping arrangements not ideal with beds sharing with lounge. Saying it sleeps 6 is pushing it a bit as the small room could only be used for small children

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay in Ollies Cottage.

The cottage is equipped with everything you might possibly need for a comfortable holiday.

It has a lovely feel and the views past the church to the river from the front windows are spectacular.

Pip the dog here,well we had a splendiforous time at Ollies,a real home from home.I had some fabulous walks down to the quay and back along the foreshore,also across the fields.Made some friends with the Dalmatians at The Red Lion.
Dittisham is really well placed for lots of doggy adventures,I liked ring the bell to go to Greenway,got another boat to Dartmouth Castle and did you know you can take cars on a boat to,we did that and went to a most glorious house and garden at Coleton Fishacre.
Also went on a sea tractor to Burgh Island and being a wonder dog I managed to part the water so we could walk back.
Another place I would recommend is Fast Rabbits Farm,we went there and I thought there would be lots of little bunnies to amuse me,but no,instead there was the most glorious garden.
Well I will sum up now as my food bowl awaits me,a great big thank you from me ,the boy and the old lady,we had a lovely holiday and would throughly recommend Dart Valley Cottages and Ollies.

Finally we managed to have our weekend in Dittersham (we originally booked a w/end in March 2020 which coincided with lockdown no.1). To be honest we were a bit nervous that everything would have changed because of the pandemic; we needn't have worried it is still the same marvellous cottage in the same marvellous village. We are now looking forward to March 2022.

We had a lovely relaxing time at Ollie's Cottage. The cottage contained all kitchen equipment we needed, bedrooms were comfortable and airy. Bathroom was modernized and we had plenty of hot water. Lounge was comfy and had an up-to-date TV.
Dittisham was a lovely quiet little village on the Dart river with a little marina where you could catch ferries up and down the river.
We did have a barking dog from the nearby Pub every morning and evening ! Not to much of a problem as eventually owners took him inside.

We enjoyed a lovely stay here. The cottage is well appointed and beautifully situated on a quiet road. There is a gorgeous view out front across the fields to the Dart, and the front bench gets the setting sun so it’s a lovely spot for a gin and tonic! The pub and village shop are neighbours but there is very little noise other than the occasional dog barking in the morning. Would definitely return.

A lovely light and airy cottage. Spacious and well equipped kitchen/dining room, lovely main bedroom and cute little child's bunk room. I wasn't clear from the photos that th twin beds were actually in the large sitting room but it worked out fine for the teenager.

Ollies cottage is in an excellent position behind the Red Lion pub and shop. The house is specious and we’ll orientated. Bathroom good although shower pump a bit noisy. Kitchen well equipped and spacious. We have stayed here before and probably will again

The cottage is beautifully located for walking and touring. We found everything we needed at the cottage - the kitchen etc. is really well equipped and it is all well presented.
I'm not sure if we missed it, but we didn't appreciate until we saw the sign at the bottom of the staircase that dogs couldn't go up into the lounge (first floor) which meant that we didn't use the lounge at all and spent evenings in the kitchen watching TV on our laptop as we don't like to shut them away for the whole evening. It wasn't a real problem but I don't remember seeing that in the details - as I said I may have missed it. This was probably more of an issue as we had wet weather - in fine weather we wouldn't be stopping in so much and we would be using the patio garden.
Overall a really lovely cottage with excellent facilities - we had a lovely relaxing break.

We had a wonderful week at Ollies Cottage. The location is perfect and views of The Dart and surrounding area were stunning, Cottage was welcoming & very well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay (once you got used to 3 floor living!). Weather for our week was lovely and sunny so most days spent at the beach with visits to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Totnes (highly recommended) & Salcombe (disappointing). The Red Lion is a great place for a pint or two in the evening.....friendly locals and you can pick up supplies....milk, bread etc at the same time! Already looking forward to return visit. Philippa, Mike & Dusty the dog.

This is the third time we have stayed at Ollie’s Cottage, the first being in 1999 when I was pregnant with my first son. We now have 4 children and 2 dogs and we all fit so comfortably in the cottage. It is in a perfect position being next to The Red Lion pub for provisions, Post Office and of course beer! The parking is never a problem as it can be with other properties in Dittisham. A short walk takes you to the river and all the activities to enjoy there, including the children favourite, crabbing and our favourite The FBI pub! The cottage is very well equipped, we love the washing machine and drier, perfect for the English summers! Nice to have tiled floor downstairs with dogs, much easier to keep clean. The beds are comfy and the shower is great. Lovely outside area too. As you can see we love it there!

We have friends that live in the village and this was an ideal property for us with three dogs.
We had everything we needed and plenty of space.
If I had to say a downside it would be that the property could do with a deep clean and a fresh lick of paint.

Always lovely to speak with Christine to book our little March visit. So thoughtful of her to let us know last year that it would have been very tough if we had travelled down last March due to show so we postponed until May. Love the home from home feeling about the cottage. Our little dog also loves it and sniffs around the kitchen saying - great to be back. Thank you Ollie.
