Couldn’t have asked for more for a weekend away with friends. The location was perfect, the house fabulous, the beds comfy. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at The Firs for a week in May and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The location was a key factor and proved to be perfect as it’s only a short walk into Bowness-On-Windermere where buses run frequently. The kitchen was well appointed and very large, easily enough space for 8 of us. The living rooms were nice and cosy, great social space in the evenings. The bedrooms with en-suites were all fabulous, and all the family were happy with the beds, bedding and furniture. The heating system worked very well too. We just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We stayed at The Firs with family to celebrate a special birthday. The house was in an ideal location , very well equipped, tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings and offered everything we wanted for a great weekend. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Bowness on Windermere

We were delighted with this attractive looking property which was perfect for our family gathering. It is situated close to the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere so within easy walking distance of all the attractions. Inside it is very well presented and spacious and fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings. There is off street parking which is a bonus although anything above three cars might require some manoeuvring of vehicles.

You couldn’t pick a closer location if you want to be central to Bowness, the Firs is just a very short walk (less than 5 mins) to the centre of Bowness. Lovely house for socialising with family, the spacious living area and bedrooms were fantastic. I would highly recommend anyone wishing to stay with a large group, our family had an amazing time.

Our second or third visit for our family group to The Firs and we had another lovely weekend. We had a couple of issues with curtains and blinds but our feedback was gratefully received when passed to Brathay cottages. Superb location and accomodation great for a large family group. We will definitely be returning

We have stayed at the Firs several times now being large enough to house the three generations of our family comfortably. It has spacious bedrooms, two lounges with tv’s, one quickly converted to an electronic games room by my grandchildren.The well equipped kitchen can provide any level of meal as long as there is a chef amongst you? There is also a washing machine and dryer in the basement, essential after a days muddy hike. A short walk and you’re in the town centre with a good selection of pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops to suit most people’s needs? There is ample free off road car parking at the rear and side of the property, a definite bonus in the Lakes.
