Lovely big house close to the centre of Ambleside. Parking for 4 cars Great location Great hosts and good communication
Couldn’t have asked for more for a weekend away with friends. The location was perfect, the house fabulous, the beds comfy. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend.
I have stayed at Thomas Fold in the past. The place remains very familiar although there have been some upgrades to keep the standards up. Its a handy location and always bring back memories of visit with friends over the years.
Lovely cottage in perfect location with the advantage of a garage. Steep steps into lounge could prove challenging to some people.
Great stay in ideal location combining great walks and easy access to the town. Having parking for 3 cars is important at busy times.

They were clearly football fans. The cottage is perfect size for a couple and the location ideal for the lakes

The weather was poor during our stay so we spent quite a bit of time in the property and the sofa/chairs are so uncomfortable and not suitable at all for 6 adults. They could do a lot more with the room (larger sofas, furniture to fill the huge gap under the tv, maybe a rug) to really improve the overall feel of the house. For this reason alone we wouldn’t return. - Some of the house required maintenance. Paint scuffs are expected but the chest of drawers downstairs only had 3 out of 6 ...more
