Very impressed with the lodge, I didn’t expect it to be so big and spacious, community and area is very inviting and friendly.
My only wish is to have a TV in the bedroom or by the jacuzzi.

Just returned from a great few days staying at the Batcombe Hollow lodge. The lodge was extremely spacious, clean and well furnished, with hi spec appliances and TV well equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom and dressing area. Bed was extremely comfortouble. Great rural views and just sounds of mooing cows and birds and overall very tranquil. We made a lot of use of the hottub even if the weather wasnt great - the hot tub was ready to use on arrival. Outdoor decking area was also very spacious with various furniture, BBQ and had a sunny aspect whatever time of day.

Great location for exploring the Mendip Hills, Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Glastonbury, with Bath and the coast within an hours drive.

Very minor comments on potential improvements are maybe some additional sets of cutlery. Also on departure day the cleaners turned up 30 minutes before the departure time, so we did feel a little shooed away, but possibly understandable given the high standard of cleanliness and preparation for new arrivals.

We have already booked to go away next year to Combe Hay, as we will be bringing our dog next time !

we stayed here for our 17th anniversary. couldn’t have stayed in a better place. we loved it. everything was perfect. the place was very clean and had everything you could want and very stylish, even the outside and the hot tub just topped it off. will definitely be going back. 5 star.

What a lovely lodge and location! Just perfect! Bed was super comfortable, bath and shower were amazing. Hottub and decking area lovely, especially on the day of sun we had! BBQ ideal to be able to make the stay extra special.

Beautiful place to stay! Was nicer than the pictures portrayed. Perfect location, round the corner from cheddar gorge which is good. Lodge was very clean when we arrived, kept nice and warm with the heaters which was the best for the time of year! Couldn’t fault anything! Will defiantly be back for another visit!

Lovely eco friendly lodge with hot tub nestled towards the bottom of the park near a small orchard and some friendly chickens.
The lodge was only a few minutes drive from Cheddar Gorge and the caves and a good base for driving to see the surrounding areas in Somerset, Bath and a little further North Devon.At the entrance to the lodges is the cider barn which was full of local characters and a friendly team of staff, it makes all the difference to your holiday to have a nice cold cider or two before retuning to your hot tub to relax.

Stayed at batcombe hollow at strawberryfeild Park for our honeymoon. We was pleasantly surprised the lodge was clean and modern with everything you need for a holiday and eco friendly.it was a beautiful lodge and a beautiful park it was so quiet and peaceful. Also a local cider barn which was great and friendly with good food and drink .and farm shops just up the road to buy some shopping .Somerset is a gorgeous place we will be staying again that's how good it was .thankyou again x

Everything was spot on. I couldn’t have asked for more. All we were after was to just chill for the weekend and relax, and we did just that. The lodges are beautiful and are located in the perfect area, with enough to do and see around. We only had one encounter with a member of staff, as we arrived who checked to make sure we where happy with everything, I didn’t get her name but she was lovely and advised us on what to do and where to go if we needed anything. My partner had a massage with Jo. Who was also lovely and so so polite. We will definitely be returning and have already started to recommend this gorgeous stay to others. Thankyou to everyone at strawberry field park, you made our stay one to remember.

We stayed for 5 days and it was perfect. The lodge was very luxurious and the surrounding were beautiful. The independent businesses we went to for food were lovely. Definitely recommend if you would like a relaxing break.

This was our second time staying at strawberry field park, we loved it just as much as the first! Completely understand the cleaners do a fantastic job of cleaning the lodges prior to your stay, however an earlier check in would be even better as 4pm is very late.

As a small team the small amount of time we get twice a week is to complete housekeeping to our renowned high standard, log and try our best to fix maintenance issues asap and allow outside contractors time to complete jobs, so it can be a bit of a time vs standards juggle. The Lodges are ideally placed for visiting family or friends in Draycot or Cheddar and the surrounding area. Batcombe Hollow is well appointed with everything you need for a self catering break. Our only criticism is the comfort of the sofa and other chairs which are very low. Having said that it would appear to be a trend for many hotel and rental apartments and cottages we have stayed in over recent years.
We will certainly be returning in the future as it is an ideal location in walking distance of our family living in Draycot.

This was our second visit to the park in a different lodge and you literally cannot fault a single thing!
Everything was perfect and we love the location and the fact you wake up to the sound of birds and can hear nothing else, so peaceful!
Our lodge had a heating issue in the bedroom and bathroom but we were informed of this before arriving and were given a couple heaters to keep warm. This definitely did the job and you wouldn’t have known otherwise haha
We love coming to Strawberryfield Park and cannot wait to return, a perfect break for me and my partner, it really is a stunning place!

Amazing stay as always, already have two more bookings made, what better endorsement could you give.

Only a suggestion, but a few more mugs and cutlery pieces would save on having to run the dishwasher so often, would be a saving really.

A lovely modern lodge with all the high quality mod cons you could hope for within a stunning setting.
There were some lovely little additional treats within the lodge that were a welcome touch.

The hot tub was warm and ready to go upon arrival.

Please check the pictures, they do the lodge justice. My partner and I had a great mini break.

The owner and staff were all extremely friendly.

If you're looking for a 5 star break then then I highly recommend strawberry fields.

I've highly recommended to friends and family..

We booked a long bank holiday weekend at Strawberryfield Park and could not fault it! We stayed in Batcombe Hollow lodge, which has a hot tub and star gazing deck, amongst all of the other beautiful features, and had the most relaxing time. Set in a quiet bit of country, the views are incredible, the park and lodge are spotless and you feel like you are in your own little luxury paradise. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be booking time and time again to come!
The only thing I would say is that if you don’t drive/bring a car, there isn’t much access to anything nearby (towns and villages etc) as there are no pavements to walk on! Everything is minimum around 10 minutes away in the car. Other than that, don’t hesitate to book!

We had the best week. The lodge was absolutely stunning and the surrounding views were beautiful. Great location for some lovely days out too. The hot tub was amazing and in a perfect position to sit and relax and watch the sunset. We will most definitely be booking again, it was our first holiday together and it was an absolute dream, couldn’t have asked for it to be anymore perfect.

My wife and I had a wonderful peaceful stay - perfect location - the only bad words we can say is we thought the outdoor furniture could have been cleaned prior to our arrival and new pillows are needed. But these negative comments would not put us off staying here again. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay .

I booked Batcombe hollow as a little staycation for my partner and myself and was incredibly happy with everything about strawberry field park. I cannot say a bad word about it, the lodges themselves are simply STUNNING and the most relaxing experience. Every single detail is spectacular. I will 100% be booking again and would recommend strawberry field park to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break.

We stayed for 5 days and it was lovely and quiet. The house was very clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook. We appreciated the bottled water and biscuits that were left for us when we arrived. The bed was soft and comfortable too.

The hose was dripping outside (might want to check on that). We also had an issue with the TV turning itself off randomly for no reason but otherwise everything was perfect.

The Jacuzzi was very clean and there were slippers and robes to wear. We rang up to ask a question and they are very friendly and eager to help too. I can't fault the customer service.

Just sitting outside and hearing the wildlife and seeing little bunnies was just amazing and just what we needed after so much stress lately!

The pizza from the Cider Barn is also really good!

Strawberry park is gorgeous, and the lodges just make it even better.
Always clean, and your not overlooked by the other lodges when you are in the hot tub.

We go here at least twice a year and usually take our dog, but after loosing her after 14 years we tried this dog free lodge. We were not disappointed.
Already booked to come here at Christmas.

Me and my partner had a lovely and relaxing stay at Batcombe Hollow, we stayed for a week and I think it was a perfect amount of time. We came there for a time away from reality and work to fully relax. I can say we definitely were relaxed and loved every minute of it. We were probably one of the first people in a while which had put the heating on and it took some time to figure it out. Unfortunately our heating in the bedroom and bathroom wasn’t working but luckily we called the lovely out of hours gentlemen and he brought us a heater which turned out to work quite well. The kitchen had all the gear and utensils you could ever think of. We also had popped into Cheddar village which was very nice and so different from what we are used to. Everyone was so friendly as well. 10/10 would recommend this to everyone!!

This was our second stay at Batcombe Hollow a year on from our last stay we were a little disappointed the lodge felt a bit tired if you know what I mean it was mainly maintenance issues that hadn’t been picked up on. We made a list and took it to the office .We were told we’ve been so busy there is not the time to check everything.Maybe more maintenance men and more cleaners would help we had an issue with a dirty mattress cover as well it was changed as soon as we reported it.For the cost of the holiday everything should be perfect the lodge just felt it needed some TLC and the staff need to be more friendly a greeting of morning would be good! Room for improvement all round I think.

I passed on the message about the mattress cover to the head of housekeeping after I got it from you (my apologies again!) and this has been highlighted to the housekeepers as cleanliness is something we pride ourselves on. Above all I’m sorry you didn’t feel that the staff were friendly- this is most unusual! I for one enjoyed my chat with you on arrival and I am sorry I missed you on departure- you had already left when I wondered around that morning. Myself and my Husband came to Strawberry Park for our mini-moon. After having to postpone our wedding 4 times we thought we would treat ourselves.
The lodge was amazing, clean and had everything we needed, the hot tub was a bonus. The customer service was brilliant and resolved any problems that we had quickly. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

Such a lovely, relaxing getaway! The views were gorgeous, lots of places to visit and the beach is not far at all, i would 100% reccomend staying here and will definitely be coming back. The features in the lodge were top spec, the bathroom was gorgeous with a huge bath, the bed was huge and really comfy, the outdoor area was much bigger than expected with lots of seating areas including sun loungers and of course the lovely hot tub. We didn’t use the kitchen too much but it was great for a short stay or even if we were there a week, had everything you needed for cooking and a big fridge/freezer if you’d done a big shop prior to coming. The tv is great as you can watch Netflix/Amazon etc if you have them too. A great place to relax and recharge and would love to come back again one day. There is also a Cider Barn as you drive in, which is great while you’re waiting to check in and they do lovely pizzas and are super friendly.

We had an incredible stay at strawberryfield park. Our lodge was stunning and really well equipped, everything had been thought of. Contactless check in was really easy and a couple of hours after we arrived we were checked on to see if there was anything we needed. We paid for early check in and late check out and it was definitely worth it. Our stay was so relaxing and to top it off we got engaged whilst we were there. Would highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be returning!

Cannot recommend Strawberryfield park enough, the lodge was amazing with everything you needed already there, super clean and lots of covid measures in place ! The decking area was lovely with lots of seating and of course the hot tub.
We did not want to leave and will definitely be returning thanks

The lodge exceeded our expectations, had a fantastic stay, would highly recommend and have already booked for a return trip.

Being really picky, but as I have back issues, I would have appreciated at least one of the outdoor seats having cushions, have taken this into account on our latest booking and chosen a different lodge. Likewise for me the dining chairs weren’t comfy but that is my health problem. EVERYTHING else was great, the bed was super comfortable . It was definitely all of a very standard.

Lodge was beautiful with good quality furnishings and very clean. Really spacious. Lovely location, very neat park and well kept. Friendly owners. Perfect position to watch the sun go down from the hot tub. Easy check-in and out and was a nice touch that someone came around on the morning we left to ask if everything had been ok during our stay. Love this place, been twice before and will definitely return. Perfect.

We had a lovely stay over Christmas, the photographs shown on the lodge website do not do the lodges justice! Just beautiful, would highly recommend a visit. Such a special place we cannot wait to return soon.

I have now visited the park on two occasions. The service, lodge and facilities have been fantastic throughout. The lodges are pure luxury. It is a home away from hone with extra magical touches. I cannot wait to return. I would recommend this to anyone. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend ordering the breakfast hamper which is ready for you as you arrive with all local produce, eggs, sausage, bacon..... the works! Thank you so much for making each of my stays so very enjoyable.

When we arrived everything was exceptionally clean and all the information we needed was provided in the guest book. Our stay was so easy as soon as we got there as everything we needed was provided for, the lodge was so spacious and beautifully designed. The park itself and atmosphere was lovely and relaxing - we rarely saw any other guests at all as the distance between lodges was brilliantly spacious & I found this to make the experience even more tranquil and peaceful as if we were completely on our own and completely undisturbed. It’s in an incredible location and near to plenty of restaurants and shops and the sights are beautiful. I would highly recommend staying at strawberry field park. We went to visit the gorge on one of the days during our visit but definitely could have happily stayed in the lodge throughout our stay because it was so amazing - the hot tub was incredible and also impeccably clean.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at Batcombe Hollow, it was the perfect escape from reality for a few days - only thing we could fault was that there were LOTS of daddy long legs inside the lodge when we arrived! I assume this was due to having to air out the lodge between visitors during Covid-19, but apart from that everything was perfect!

Me and my partner stayed Monday to Friday. Everything about the lodge was lovely we had the most relaxing time spent here! We would recommend this is everyone and hopefully will be booking this again and bringing our fur baby as we were surprise how dog friendly everywhere in Somerset is.

We stayed in Batcombe Hollow the first week in July 2020. First impressions were good. The lodge appeared clean, there were clear notices about the extra precautions taken in view of covid-19 and the lodge was very spacious with contemporary decor.
The site itself was well maintained and quiet. We walked into Cheddar village from the lodge - around 35 minutes- using the quiet, single lane road rather than the busier main road.
We had a minor maintenance issue whilst we were staying which was rectified very quickly following a phone call to the office.
The quirky pub at the entrance to the site serves very good pizza (we particularly enjoyed it after a 65 mile cycle ride!) and gave good recommendations for which cider to try!
There is plenty to do in the area - we cycled to Bath, then on to Bristol, caught the train from Bristol to Yatton and then cycled back to Strawberryfield Park. We visited Wells cathedral and the farmers' market; walked the gorge; visited Glastonbury and walked up the tor; enjoyed freshly picked strawberries, local cider and of course cheddar. We also enjoyed lazy days at the lodge, sitting out on the decking in the sunshine and relaxing in the hot tub.
One small negative was the light level in the bedroom - the blinds did not block out light at all which meant we woke early every morning (05.15!) as soon as it was daylight. Not a huge problem but not conducive to lazier mornings!
We would definitely recommend Strawberryfield Park and may return.

We would recommend staying here for sure - we stayed 9-12th March after having to cancel our trip to Rome and it was brilliant! The lodges are great; massive, very clean and the hot tub was perfect! The only downside for us was the cost which for three nights is quite pricey however, we loved every minute of it and would definitely recommend it.
