It was our first stay at Strawberryfields Park. We loved the Lodge and found it comfortable and relaxing as soon as we arrived. The site is in a great position with beautiful views of the Mendip Hills and easy access to so many wonderful places to visit, including Cheddar, Glastonbury and the Avalon Marshes, most of which we found to be dog friendly. There wasn’t enough time to take it all in so we’ll definitely back.
A really lovely eco lodge, the jacuzzi hot tub was very relaxing after a long walk! Everything you needed was supplied and it was in a perfect location for exploring Somerset.
Me and my boyfriend were over the moon with the Spinney. We had booked a few nights away together for a short break and we couldn't have picked a better place. The Spinney was so lovely, the views were amazing, everything was so clean and tidy. It was very romantic which was perfect with the twinkly lights at night and lovely hot tub. There was also something to do in all directions, plenty of pubs and restaurants around as well as sweet little farm shops and cafes. There were attractions in all directions too; cheddar gorge caves and walks, Wookey hole, a few beaches. Overall very happy with ...more
Had an amazing time here at Pamela's meadow. The lodge was well equipped with everything we could need. It's feels so tranquil and remote but you are only less then 5 miles in either direction from lots of things to do. I would love to stay here again .
Another relaxing and amazing stay at Strawberry fields just booked for October. Accommodation amazing the staff are so friendly
We had a lovely weekend relaxing at Honeyhurst lodge. Everything was spottlessly clean and we loved the hot tub. Perfect location for exploring Cheddar Gorge and Wells. Would certainly recommend. Just a couple of minor observations, the rug in the lounge was looking a bit tired and could do with updating. Also, it would have been nice to have provided a washing up sponge and cloth for the kitchen. Fortunately, we had brought our own.
An amazing lodge and the location was amazing too,First time in a lodge and it won’t be the last ,would definitely come back to Cheddar Pink .
I really enjoyed my stay at Strawberry fields. Fantastic location and superb lodge! Will definitely go back.
We stayed in Amber Lodge and we were definitely delighted with the lodge. Would recommend this lodge
This was our second visit and prior to our first visit we signed up to the newsletter. We noticed this year a postcard in the lodge offering 5% discount by signing up to the newsletter and booking again. Perhaps this should be offered all the time to people who rebook within 30days of their visit? Could antpowder be provided in the lodge please as we were beset with them this time and had to place our bin outside for the duration of our visit.
We really enjoyed our stay in Perry Lodge. It is in a very quiet location with a gorgeous sunset. The lodge itself was immaculately clean, and were hoping to stay again very soon.
Had a beautiful 4 night stay our 2nd visit to Strawberryfield Park The weather was fantastic and our lodge matched the weather Would highly recommend A peaceful relaxing space and surroundings
Stunning holiday lodge in stunning surroundings. Park and lodge were to a high standard and staff extremely helpful. Well equipped with lovely bed linen, bath towels, dressing gowns and slippers also provided. Bottled water on arrival with complimentary biscuits. Was a perfect and most enjoyable stay.
Second visit to Strawberry Fields. Nice quiet site. If peace and tranquillity is what you’re after. Reluctant to try anywhere else now that I found these super lodges.
Fantastic lodge in very peaceful surroundings - a great place to relax and enjoy Cheddar and the surrounding area. Spotlessly clean, spacious and with high quality fixtures and fittings all round. Would happily return. Thanks.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The accommodation was excellent and to a very high standard. The only things that let it down a bit were:- The close proximity to a road at the rear of the lodge, probably about 3M from the decking and hot tub, that appears to be a pretty busy rat run for the area. The condition of the hot tub cover. The cover was damaged and very dirty. As my wife has a back issue I had to move the cover on my own which was not easy in its poor condition. There is not much that can be done about the road, but the hot tub cover is easy to rectify.
Brilliant lovely stay will be back ....................................................................................................
Had a great short stay in Blackbird Lodge. Both indoor and outdoor space exactly as advertised Clean, Modern, spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable. Staff we met were great and site is perfectly located for exploring the area.
Excellent accommodation and in a good location for visiting local sites. Very clean and had everything you needed (except a bottle opener!!) Would definitely stay again.
Stayed for four nights with my partner for his 40th birthday. Charterhouse was extremely relaxing and comfortable. Everything you would need was provided. I would say a few more instructions on TV is required as it seems a little complicated. Took us a while to work out how to work the speakers on the bath as it wasn't clear which socket had to be turned on. Location is very central for a few trips, just a word of warning for any walkers, there are no pavements between the park and cheddar so you cannot walk into the village.
A lovely time had within the lodge, during the summer the blinds let a larger amount of light in so can be bright and wake up early with the morning light, but otherwise an amazing time, all provisions present that were needed, lovely hot tub, good self catering facilities, not left wanting for anything.
We stayed in Cedar on a bank holiday weekend. The music and general noise from the Cider Barn could be heard loudly and clearly from the second bedroom, which made it difficult for our toddler to sleep. There wasn’t any deadbolts on the doors meaning we didn’t feel secure as our child is now able to open doors on her own. Other than a field to play football the site is also lacking any resources to keep a toddler entertained, such as a set of swings. The hot tub was next to a busy lane without suitable privacy screening as the hedge had huge holes in it. We often had dog walkers and horse r...more
The lodge was spotlessly clean and really comfortably furnished with everything you need for a weekend or a fortnight. Really lovely touches from the owners like bottles of water, bottle of wine, milk in the fridge, biscuits, tea, coffee and sugar. Lovely weekend and will definitely come again.
My partner and I booked Strawberryfield Park as a last minute getaway over the bank holiday weekend. We had a wonderful stay, everything was of such high quality and we could tell that there has really been no expense spared! The location was great, we spent one day in Cheddar and one day in Wells, both of which were beautiful. Even the first day we arrived we were telling our friends and family about how great the lodge was suggesting that they should book a stay for sometime in the future and we will definitely be returning ourselves! The only downside of this lodge is it doesn't have a park...more
