I booked The Spinney for my husband's birthday as we wanted a quiet, relaxing week away and we were so pleased with our lodge. It was luxurious and had everything we needed along with a complimentary bottle of wine. The hot tub was sunken and the outside area was very large with several areas to relax. There were so many doors in the lodge which all offered lovely views. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the outside alcove seating area with ceiling lights that looked like stars. We ventured into Cheddar and the local area but spent a lot of time at the lodge relaxing. Very close to the s...more
The lodge was no overlook and felt private. The hot tub was relaxing and well used. Cheddar is only a few miles away. Wells was a great day out, especially the Cathedral. And shopping at Clarks village was only 30 minutes away. We visited the cider darn for steak night, which was well cooked and reasonably priced. The TV and broadband band coped well with our streaming needs. We had minor issue, but this was resolved quickly by the admin team. We were visited on the first and last day by a member of the team which made you feel welcome.
This was our third stay at Strawberryfield Park (a different lodge each time) and we had another superb week. Pomegranate is very comfortable and had everything that we needed, highly recommended it.
We cannot fault the lodge at all it was immaculate, the hot tub was cleaned every morning discreetly and the whole park offered a nice surrounding for a short stay being only 2 minutes down the road in to cheddar gorge. We would certainly book here again if we were in the area!
It was our second stay at this lodge and we loved it just as much as the first time. The quality and comfort of this lodge is amazing would definitely recommend
The park is an essential part of our annual holiday planning and we try to come twice a year if possible, working our way round the park. Honeyhurst is angled just right for the sun. Early morning the sun is on the breakfast mini patio beside the kitchen, then it works its way round to set at the far end of the deck next to the Tub. We had 7 days of sun so did very little other than sunbathe and dip in the tub twice a day. It is very well furnished, but we found the sofa to be uncomfortable and too low to get in and out easily. We also now bring our own lounger cushions for the wooden deck lou...more
Private, cosy, lovely little touches to the lodge, great decking area at Peppers Lodge and not overlooked at all, perfect for sunbathing. Very quiet, was lovely
Brilliant stay, the lodge has everything, love the towels for the hot tub and dressing gowns, information pack very good, well equipped, lovely furnishings all good quality.
This is mine and my parents second visit to a second lodge at SFP. We absolutely love the lodges and what they have to offer. The customer service is always great and the team are super friendly and are always happy to help. We stayed at Combe Hay this time and absolutely loved it, it’s set in a really private spot of the site which we liked when using the hot tub! The living space was the perfect size for the two of us. Overall really happy again and will probably make another visit someone soon! Thank you SFP team!
The Burrington lodge is a 5* luxury lodge, that has everything that you could possible need and more. It is spacious throughout with high quality furnishings. The outside decking area is huge with lots of furniture to use and the hot tub is amazing! I would highly recommend staying in this lodge.
We have visited this park numerous times over the past few years. Staying in Mulberry, Deer Leap, Nyland, The Sleights & Pamela’s Meadow. We love the huge corner sofa & log burner in Pamela’s Meadow. So cosy for the winter. All the lodges are beautiful inside, furnished to a high standard and the best equipped lodges we have visited. I’m sure we will be back in 2025!
Arrived in need of a relaxing few days and it ticked all the boxes. Welcome pack was helpful with standard content though some fresh produce would have been nice. Nesspreso coffee machine was great but would have been helpful to know the pod type before arrival. Furnishings etc were good and comfortable. Bottle of water in each room was nice touch but supplied toiletries not 5*. Hot tub was fantastic and loved the covered outdoor seating area with twinkling star lights above sitting there with a blanket and hot chocolate in the evening. Site was peaceful and more private than most. Wou...more
We had a fabulous 4 nights in Batcombe Hollow, the lodge was perfect in every way. Ideal location for what we planned to do.
What's not to love, beautiful cabins, in a stunning location. We had a wonderful apres Christmas and new year break.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was lovely and clean and everything was very well presented. We would really recommend staying here.
We had a lovely time at Strawberryfield Park. The lodge we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our short break. The hot tub and decked area were also great, we visited in Feb but it would be perfect for sitting out in warmer weather. A secure area to let dogs off the lead safely or a small area of enclosed grass attached to the lodge would have been great. The park itself is small and quiet which we liked with the Cider Barn being a great place to go for a drink and food. The atmosphere was friendly and we were made to feel so welcome with our dog. We had pizza...more
2nd time at Strawberry Field and honestly what a lovely, lovely place. I adore every single lodge, it's so hard to choose which one to stay in! The little added touches make everything so special here they really know how to look after people. The cider barn on site is an absolute banger and have met so many wonderful locals, I already can't wait to come back.
our stay was short but staying in this place gave us a proper rest. This place is great and worth visiting. Our Lodge was wonderful. I RECOMMEND
Amazing weekend at strawberry fields. We stayed in while away lodge, the only thing I can say bad is the pillows are very uncomfortable everything else was perfect
Strawberry Fields is located a 5minute drive from the heart of Cheddar Gorge. The Cedar Lodge was spacious and clean with modern facilities and easy access. The bedrooms are only fitted with blinds and can be quite light in the morning, a suggestion could be to invest in black blinds or curtains. The complimentary gifts were a nice touch. The information book provided was useful. A great base for exploring Cheddar and the local area.
We had such a lovely break staying at Charterhouse. The lodge was lovely and clean, we had a great welcome pack on arrival and after settling in were greeted by one of the owners to make sure everything was as expected. Kitchen is well equipped. The bed is super comfy. The hot tub was fab. The lodge site is in such a good location really easy to get to the surrounding areas, close to shops and local attractions. We had such a lovely stay and would definitely return.
I was really looking forward to my stay here, I'd been trying to book this lodge for some time. Unfortunately there was a few things that need seeing to. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable I think it needs replacing. There was no draws in bedroom to put clothes and only 2 hangers in area to hang clothes. The blind on one of the patio doors wouldn't stay half way open it just rolled to the floor. The copper floor lamp needed fixing as a shade almost fell off when I moved its direction. There are little lights around base of the bath that don't work and the metal around a couple of these is ...more
The Sleights is furnished to a very high standard and loved the hot tub. The mattresses are super comfortable and the en suites very spacious. The added touches such as robes for the hot tub really made our stay. I would highly recommend Spice Cottage in nearby Cheddar, does a great Indian takeaway. Bath is a 40 minute drive away, well worth a visit, went to the famous Roman Baths. I would highly recommend Strawberryfield Park and I will definitely return in the future.
Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children age 13 and 9) had a great 2 night stay at The Retreat to celebrate my husband's 50th. It was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, and very well equipped - we felt very at home! The wood burner made it very cosy (remember to bring matches/firelighters/kindling/logs - we forgot and had to dash to the shop!) and once the heating kicked in the lodge was very cosy and warm during a freezing spell in January. The cold weather didn't stop us using the hot tub though - which was a huge hit with all of us, especially the kids! Bath robes and extra towels provided...more
