We found the lodge the exact spot for our family to meet up and explore the beautiful countryside of the Mendips. Lovely lodge in a very quiet spot just outside of Cheddar. The lodge was very comfy with everything we needed even a lovely welcoming pack which include the essential pint of milk to make a cuppa on arrival.
Would recommend Strawberryfield Park.

Lovely lodge, great location. Hot tub was a bonus, my only criticism would be the 2 sets of doors that lead out to the hot tub are very difficult to shut, had to really slam them (was scared of breaking them) but overall a great trip xx

This was our 2nd stay at Strawberry Fields. The accommodation is stunning and the location is beautiful. The staff were all very helpful and sorted out an outside table for us without any fuss. We will definitely be back next year. I would high recommend booking to anyone.

This was our first visit to the Lodges and we're so pleased we found them. Fantastic level of comfort, amenities and cleanliness. Everything has been thought about to make it a real home from home experience. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

We had such a lovely time. Everything was very clean. The location was perfect, not far from Bristol, Bath, Clarks Village and Cheddar Gorge caves were just 5 minutes away. The hot tub was also a lovely treat. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful lodge, top quality finish and impeccably clean.
Great relaxing stay with easily reached trips to Weston-Super-Mare, Cheddar and Wells.
Furniture, kitchen equipment and decor are all excellent with lots of space.
Lodge layout makes it feel very private, like there is no one else around.
Throughly recommend this park and takeaway pizza from the cider barn, which is a stroll away, is an absolute must.

It was fine. Grounds/setting were nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Didn’t feel it was ‘5* luxury’ if I’m honest.

Unfortunately, as you mentioned yourself, mattresses are very much personal preference and we have lots of positive reviews (including the one before yours) regarding comfort. Strawberry fields is beautiful we stayed in the Diamound lodge which is lovely very clean , beds are very comfy ,very spacious , hot tub is lovely to relax in after a busy day exploring about , Strawberry fields is located very central to alot of places , we will definitely return soon.

This is the third year in a row that we have visited strawberry fields. We love it that much that we bought the whole family this year and had 4 lodges between us. Always have the best time, location and facilities are amazing. And the cider barn is a much loved bonus from us all! We will definitely be returning

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. We were impressed by how clean the lodge was when we arrived, the place was spotless and free of any smell (we opted to stay in a dog friendly lodge as we were bringing a four-legged friend with us. The bedrooms were really lovely and the hot tub was CLEAN! We read that they drain the hot tub after every visitor, which is why we wanted to stay here, as my wife gets very anxious of hot tubs (in hotels and gyms etc) as they are never clean (her words). Someone came every morning to check the hot tub and do the chemicals etc. The outside area was lovely, and the drive had enough space for two cars, which was useful as our friend (and her dog) was joining us for our trip.

I will say that the place is very isolated, so you need a car to get around, and there are not a lot of options in the local area for food and shops etc. which is understandable as Cheddar probably has some rules about chains opening in the area - that being said, the area did not have many options for a good coffee. Our purpose of the trip was to be in a hot tub and do nothing, so it did not matter too much, but I can imagine getting quite bored or running out of options.

We do believe that this was a fair price for the stay, especially over the bank holiday weekend, and I believe if you go during off-peak times it is cheaper. We did not need to call any staff as there were no problems, but I did meet some who were very friendly.

The larger bed was not the most comfortable as it was too firm, but the single beds in the twin room were very comfortable. The sofas were nice to lounge in, and there was a full kitchen to cook, with a washer-dryer. Unfortunately there wasn’t any laundry detergent so we were unable to wash anything, but next time we will bring our own (we did not realise there was a washing machine before we arrived!)

There were a few flies in the lodge before we arrived, and there seem to be a few resident spiders - this did not bother us as it is literally a lodge in a field, but I can imagine that some people may be squeamish. It may be nice to have a Spider catcher tool in the lodge to use for guests who may scare easily to spiders and other bugs.

Overall we were incredibly happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it to others. Our friend who joined us was absolutely enthralled by the lodge and wants to live in it because of how lovely it is.

If we do come again (without our friend and her dog), we will aim to stay in a non-pet friendly lodge to see how it differs, but really the dog-friendly aspect did not affect the stay at all.

What made you choose this particular lodge?
We were looking for a private hot tub stay that allows dogs, so we could relax and do nothing for the bank holiday.

My family and I recently stayed four nights in the Diamond Lodge. We really enjoyed our stay, the lodge and surroundings I found to be very relaxing. I can see that there is pride in the park and it's not like more corporate lodge sites.

The location is very good in terms of sightseeing and easy to find. We had pizzas from the Cider Barn nextdoor and they were delicious.

The lodge itself was comfy and well thought out with everything provided. I was impressed with the amount of kitchen utensils provided.

All in all I would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Had another lovely week staying at Strawberry Field Park and had fantastic weather this year which made the holiday even better. Different lodge from last year but just as nice, very clean and had all the facilities needed for a relaxing holiday. Only downside for us was even though it was dog friendly accommodation, the hedge had gaps and the fencing posts were quite wide apart. As one of our dogs is a bit of an escape artist if given the opportunity, we were unable to let her out when we were in the hot tub. Other than this everything was great, so much so, we have booked to go again next year but have chosen a different lodge which looks more secure outside so hopefully we can let both of our dogs join us on the decked area.

We had great time in Diamond Lodge, a pet friendly accommodation that was so spotlessly clean, house keeping should be commended. It had all the mod cons of a very modern kitchen, coffee maker etc, the rooms were spacious and airy. We stayed on the hottest week of the year and were provided with fans which helped a little. As a family with teenagers we all found it a relaxing stay using the hot tub daily. The cider bar was an added bonus. We loved it so much we've booked to a return stay

Stunning holiday lodge in stunning surroundings. Park and lodge were to a high standard and staff extremely helpful. Well equipped with lovely bed linen, bath towels, dressing gowns and slippers also provided. Bottled water on arrival with complimentary biscuits. Was a perfect and most enjoyable stay.

My partner and I, along with our dog, stayed at Diamond Lodge over the new year period, and what a fantastic break away it was.

I would highly recommend Strawberryfields to friends and family, and we will 100% be back!

The location was great, so many beautiful walks and country pubs on your door step. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival we had a bottle of wine and shortbread biscuits waiting for us, as well as a dog bed and dog blankets. Couldn't have asked for a better way to see in the new year than sat in their beautiful hot tub listening to the fireworks going off around us.

We will be planning another trip here in the summer. Cannot recommend this place enough! X

It's just duch a wonderful place, beautiful and perfect location for flying around and visiting local attractions. The accommodation consist of fabulous lodges with hot tubs, and they are always spotless. The staff at the location are fabulous and very friendly.
This is our go to accommodation for our short breaks in the West Country. Cannot recommend highly enough.
We stayed in Diamond Lodge this time, as our favourite one was already booked, and it was lovely!!!!

We had a really lovely time staying at Diamond lodge. It is an extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped lodge in a great location. The wine, milk and biscuits were a Lovely welcome touch, thank you.
Our only two criticisms are that we couldn’t ever get the hot tub warmer than 32 degrees (which is just not warm enough to sit in for long). I feel we paid a premium price for the hot tub and unfortunately couldn’t enjoy it as much as would have liked. As we were there over a weekend, there was no one to contact about this. Also, the garden is not enclosed so with a young dog it’s not completely dog friendly as she could have run out of the side by the driveway.
Other than that we really enjoyed our break and would love to return at some point.

Comfortable, clean and in a private setting. Dog friendly BBQ facility. TV in lounge and main bedroom. Good selection of Games, books and DVDs for any rainy days. Short drive to supermarket, pharmacy, beach and places of interest. Takeaway service available from surrounding eateries.

I’m not one for ever giving reviews, good or bad, but this place is truly unbelievable so a small effort on my part is necessary to tell anyone and everyone how good Strawberry Fields is. My wife and I first stayed here 5 years ago when the site was fairly new. We stayed in the Mulberry Lodge. It was nothing short of fantastic. It’s taken us this long to come back because we have a young family and life is hectic........etc, etc, etc but now they are older, coupled with the amazing stay we’ve just had at the Diamond Lodge, we’ll be back more often. The site has matured really well over the years, hedges have grown to provide ultra privacy. The quality of the lodges provides a luxurious feel without being overstated or pretentious and the instant relaxation is a remedy for everyday life that, in my experience, I’ve only ever achieved in the Maldives. That’s right, I’m comparing Strawberry Fields with the Maldives for a solid 10/10 on the relaxation scale. Everything is included in the kitchen which allows for an easy self catering experience - there is even a wicker hamper which we used to go to the nearby beach for a picnic. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and very clean. The hot tub/spa is brilliant - soak away every bit of tension! I have nothing bad to say about the place. We cannot wait to go back. Thanks so much Mike, you’ve got a jewel in Strawberry Fields.

It’s a beautiful holiday house with fantastic hot tub. The house is in great condition and has all kitchen equipment you would want to have for a one week stay. Location is great close to Cheddar Gorge and Wells. We had some internet issues which were ultimately fixed. We hope to return someday.

Second visit to Strawberryfield Park, different lodge took dog this time- Superb location with plenty to do locally.

Lodges are perfect and have everything you need for a lovely stay. It really is like home from home. The Cider Barn is an added bonus, lovely people, amazing Pizza and great cider. The orchard for walking dogs is an added bonus. If I could change one thing it would be to make the dog friendly lodges more secure, with smaller fence spindles at both sides, meaning you could fully relax in the hot tub, knowing your dogs won’t escape. Other than that I can’t fault the place and will definitely be back!

We stayed in Diamond Lodge for a short break over New Years Eve 2019, it was a super holiday in every way! The owner of the site was friendly, extremely communicative and easy to get hold of. He took time to understand our requirement for a short break due to commitments at the Theatre back in Bath where we live. The photos on the website looked great and we were excited by the prospect of our own hot tub on the decking. It was also really handy that the lodge was dog friendly. When we arrived the owner had been into the property ahead of our arrival and turned the lights and heating on, when we got through the door we were immediately struck by the extremely high spec of the lodge and the cosy warmth generated by the underfloor heating. And it was absolutely spotless! The hot tub had been turned on, it was a perfect temp and the lighting effects made it really tempting to jump straight in. All in all we had a wonderful time - the beds were comfy and the kitchen was brilliantly stocked with everything we needed. We will be back!!
