Our 2nd time, but different lodge this time. Standard & Spec of lodges are very high. Well stocked with everything you would need from butter dish to robes (there’s even a drinks measurer!) they have thought of everything! A well run ship, so clean and well organised system they have; we’ve already booked again for next year! This is our haven for 4 ladies (old school friends) to get away for a long weekend! Thank you

Our stay at the sleights was an amazing break, the lodges are decorated and maintained to a very high standard. All of the team at the park are very attentive but also very discreet the hot tubs are checked daily. Yes the prices may seem a little bit higher but it is well worth the money for this level of accommodation and service. We have already booked to go back for Easter weekend and also August. The cider barn is close by and an absolute gem well worth a visit.

We came away for a mini family break, we had such a lovely weekend. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome package which included scones, cream & jam this was such a lovely touch and we enjoyed them thoroughly. The location is absolutely perfect, and gives you options whether to go and explore or chill and relax in the comfort of a luxury lodge.
I’d highly recommend this a nice place to spend a weekend.

We wanted a hot tub that was in the ground.

Wow, The Sleights was an amazing place to stay. The quality of everything was superb and of a very high specification. A lovely welcome to wine, water, milk and biscuits. The whole place was spotlessly clean and has great views across the countryside. The decking area was very spacious with an inviting hot tub, although due to wet weather and snow we were unable to use it. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a fantastic stay. The lodge was absolutely immaculate and had everything you could want if you purely wanted to stay in and make us of the hot tub. Great location, ideal for trips to Cheddar, Wells, Weston-super-Mare, etc. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Strawberry Park back in August for my 30th in 'Deers Leap', which was amazing - loved everything about it so we booked again for 3 nights over New Year. We stayed in 'The Sleights' and the cabin itself is amazing (I think they all are) but unfortunately we wouldn't stay again in this specific lodge as the noise from the Cider Barn was too much as its directly next door. The music was on until 1am one night and then 11.30pm the next night. Obviously this stay was over New Years so we expected some noise but even with ear plugs in, I could hear the music/bass. We would stay at Strawberry Fields again as the cabins/location are beautiful but would just pick a different lodge situated further away from the Cider Barn.

We are very sorry that the noise from the Cider Barn was excessive, as a separate establishment we maintain good relations with them and usually we manage to keep a good balance of great entertainment which guests make the most of but also keeping the site as peaceful as possible. It was I first time staying in a log cabin and what experience it was we felt so at home it was amazing the hot tube in cold winter night looking up at start , the kitchen wow wow mind blowing the view the sites seeing great we’re going back for Christmas and we cannot wait

We stayed with friends at the sleights for a long weekend towards the end of September. The lodge is beautiful and provides everything you need for your stay. It’s situated in between all the local attractions (Wells, Cheddar Gorge) and the hot tub was also lovely, maintained to a high standard throughout.
We will definitely recommend staying here and will look to return.

We had a lovely time. All staff very friendly. Lovely walks and nice to come back for time in Hot Tub Cider Barn nearby was a hit. Lovely food we could takeaway and have in Lodge.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 days at the sleights - mike you should be very proud of this - the wine and the water was a great introduction that went along with the WOW factor - enjoyed the quiz night at the cider bar which had such a friendly atmosphere - we will of course return

My partner and I booked Strawberryfield Park as a last minute getaway over the bank holiday weekend. We had a wonderful stay, everything was of such high quality and we could tell that there has really been no expense spared! The location was great, we spent one day in Cheddar and one day in Wells, both of which were beautiful. Even the first day we arrived we were telling our friends and family about how great the lodge was suggesting that they should book a stay for sometime in the future and we will definitely be returning ourselves! The only downside of this lodge is it doesn't have a parking space as close to the others- you have to park at the Cider Barn which on Sunday evening was full. We did however call the team who suggested as the people opposite had checked out early we could park in there space which was very handy! All in All we had a brilliant stay and hope to stay again in the future!

The lodge was lovely, the only negative was that the lodge had no parking so although the cider barn is super close it wasn’t ideal for bags etc with kids and dog.

We stayed for just a weekend and this stay was an absolute dream. The location, ease of amenities, the stunning views and luxurious but eco friendly. We’re already planning our next trip back (but for at least a week next time) and we’ve already convinced quite a few friends to try it too! 5/5 excellent stay!

The lodge was equipped with high quality items even down to the cutlery! The TV was amazing! The lodge itself, the Sleights, was beautiful however the location was unfortunate. It is the only lodge (I believe) without its own parking! We had to park the cars in the Cider Barn car park which made me nervous with patrons coming and going! It was wet and windy and dark when we arrived and I could only find 1 space luckily! Because it was so busy I was anxious my car might of got damaged! There was no noise nuisance from the Cider Barn but may be in the summer? Also out of the Parks control, there was a steady run of a tractor/digger up and down the lane at the side of us even on the weekend! I would definitely recommend a stay here but would be suggesting selecting a lodge deeper into the Park away from the lane and with parking space! All this being said we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and would love to return sometime! Thank you!

Had a Lovely Christmas break away. Cabin was clean and well equipped. Hot Tub was Clean and HOT!!
In a good, quiet location with lots of places to visit that are only a short drive away !
The only one small issue i had is the cabin (The Sleights) we stayed in did not have its own parking space , every other cabin had one or two parking spaces right next to their cabin.

Myself and 2 best friends booked for a weekend here, having not been away together for years.
The lodge was everything we needed, clean comfortable, homely. The beds were so comfortable and the hot tub was lovely despite -1 weather!
Lovely touches round the lodge, water, milk, biscuits left as a welcome.

The Sleights is a fantastic well equipped lodge in a beautiful location.
We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our time in Cheddar. The lodge has two large double/twin bedrooms both with en-suites and ample storage space, plenty of towels, towelling robes and slippers and even a few miniature toiletries.
Large kitchen area with dish washer and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery you need for a self catering holiday. We even had dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dish cloths and t towels. In the fridge was a complimentary bottle of water, pint of milk and two cans of cider, a nice touch.
Comfortable lounge/dining area with a large tv, two comfy sofas, dining table and log burner.
The hot tub was gorgeous once it had warmed up, nice way to chill out after a day out sight seeing.
The only down side to this particular lodge is the lack of a parking space. You have to park in The Cider Barn car park, this can be a problem when the pub is busy.
We would definitely return to Strawberry Fields and recommend to family and friends as we thoroughly enjoyed our break away.

This was an opportunity to meet with my school friends from 1970 to 1976, we had an amazing time loved the lodges and the local facilities. All the staff were friendly and we had a perfect weekend of celebrating friendships , sharing events of the last 2 year and most of all, the chance to smile and have fun in a safe and beautiful environment. What an amazing lodge! Quiet and quantrail. Great location. All the little touches that make it special such as milk in fridge and tea and coffee and bottled water. Hot tub and decking very good. Staff always friendly and happy to help. Will certainly be booking again.

We had a great stay at Strawberry Fields Park in The Sleights but wished we had stayed in a different lodge as we had no dedicated parking space, and were very close to The Cider Barn which was noisy at night. Given the time of year we visited we had the windows open, this may not have been an issue so much in winter. The lodge opposite had a double parking space and luckily for us were happy to share with us, formally doing this would please future guests I’m sure.
The lodge was beautifully laid out and very well equipped, with good quality appliances although the tv did turn itself off at times!
I struggled with the bedding which could’ve fitted better and did not keep the duvet enclosed, the pillows were a little lumpy too.
We didn’t see many staff due to the restrictions of covid-19 but they were all very kind and helpful, and overall our stay was lovely thank you.

Very nice break with lovely accomodation. However more attention to detail required when cleaning, quite a few cobwebs behind doors, food wrapper under bed in room with double bed. Floor dusty under sofas and some cooking untensils (such as garlic press) unclean. There was food debris between the creases of the sofa also. Mattresses in twin room uncomfortable due to indentations and it could do with shelving or a chest of drawers for storage. We also found a screw in the bottom of the hot tub. We did report on the Monday we arrived that the bedroom door handles were loose and there was no rush to fix them but they were not fixed at all whilst we were there for 7 days. The Sleights could definately do with a parking space but on this occasion it did not affect us as we went with friends and could park in front of them at Diamond Lodge. This sounds negative but this is purely constructive feedback. The staff and Mike were lovely and the accomodation was very nice, it just had a few cleaning issues.

Lovely lodge . If your looking for more of a quiet stay I’d recommend a lodge furthest away from this one as very close to local pub cabin where music will play till 11pm. Also no parking space directly next to lodge so you might struggle to get parked or blocked in by the locals using the cider barn. Apart from that we are definitely going back to this site as it is a beautiful place to stay. Hope next time the price might of dropped as quite pricy for three nights.

The Sleights is a very clean, comfortable, high standard accomodation, and the park itself is in a good position to explore the area but the lack of parking at this particular lodge lets it down (most other lodges at the site have parking next to them), to describe it as onsite parking is a bit misleading and having to park in a busy, often full pub carpark is not ideal. The location of this lodge within the park is right next to the Cider Barn pub , whilst that may be a positive for some , it can lead to a lot of noise in the evening. But those issues aside it is a good , comfortable, high standard lodge with a friendly helpful team working harding team keeping it well maintained.

The lodge was clean and all instructions for arrival were clear. The lodge was a great size, 4 of us and a dog sharing and we had plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding good quality. We were provided with plenty of towels and also robes and slippers which were a great surprise. We had everything we needed in the lodge and it was warm. The hot tub was easy to use and a great end to each day. The orchard for dogs is beautiful. We can’t wait to revisit.
Only tiny problem was no parking space for our lodge and the cider barn car park was always busy. The cider barn created a lot of noise first couple of nights but not a big problem and we would like the decking to be fully enclosed for security for our dog.

Strawberryfields is a brilliant location with fabulous lodges.
We had a missing item and it was quickly replaced.
The lodge had been cleaned really well before our stay.
The only minus is that The Sleights doesn’t have a parking space and due to COVID the car park for the cider barn is covered by a tent for outside drinking so parking in limited outside the office, perhaps a designated parking space would be welcome.

We had a n amazing stay the weekend before Christmas. Everything was perfect. The accommodation had everything and more. We loved the jacuzzi which was much needed after a few hours walking. We would definitely return and recommend this gem of a find.
The wood burner was a lovely extra.

Had a great stay under the current situations - ideal location to travel about Somerset - Christmas tree in the lodge was a great addition though sadly we had no wood delivered for the burner. Hot water was a bit hit and miss at times but overall would recommend a stay here and we will certainly try and come back.

We loved it here. The booking process was so easy and the owners very helpful. The lodge was amazing and everything you needed was in there. It was really clean and felt so comfortable. Lovely modern lodge with great facilities including a wonderful hot tub. Two en-suite bedrooms. Very clean and well presented. Ideally located between Wells and Cheddar and within a short drive to a Wookey Hole and Glastonbury; Bath and Bristol less than 25 miles away.
I would recommend this comfortable and well appointed lodge.

Had a lovely weekend, lodge was great - everything you need supplied. Hot tub was awesome! Views are amazing.

Everything was really well looked after and clean when we arrived. We very much appreciated all the small things that had been put in place such as walks, food recommendations and things to do. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very cosy and the owners were very accommodating and welcoming. One of the best holidays I have had in a while, we will certainly be returning.

Second visit to Strawberry Fields and will be looking to book again for next year. Perfect location and accommodation. Love the hot tub and the surround decking and wall is great with a dog. Only very minor point is the lack of assigned parking with the Sleights as a couple of times we struggled to park at the top by the cider barn. There are two spaces opposite so not sure why one of those couldn’t be assigned to the Sleights as not good if elderly or disabled. But very minor point and wouldn’t stop me from rebooking again. Lovely holiday.

Our recent stay at The Sleights was great. Amazing lodges in such a pretty area - I definitely recommend visiting Cheddar Gorge - it was amazing!! The lodge was beautifully decorated and modern with everything you need provided. It was very comfortable too, the bed particularly. The hot tub was an amazing addition too. I would love to return here.

The accommodation is wonderful, sadly the customer service is not.
We were asked to leave 20hours into a seven day break due to Covid19, so far the owner Mike is still refusing to issue us with a refund, we have only been offered alternative dates, which we do not want, even when presented with the facts, that we are legally entitled to a refund under our consumer rights, still not forthcoming with our refund, it has been over three weeks and I have yet to resolve this issue. Hopefully Mike will eventually decide to do the right thing.
