You’ll be captivated by the charming façade of this 17th Century farmhouse the second you arrive. Wisteria climbs the traditional stone cottage, framing the large wooden door that welcomes you inside.

The farmhouse and cottage can be opened to create one large home for families and friends wanting space to relax and entertain. With two kitchens at either end of the farmhouse, you can round-up the family each night for celebratory feasts.

Flickering wood burners provide the perfect backdrop for cosy nights in, and the two living areas create plenty of space to relax and unwind.

Attractive gardens surround the cottage where you can enjoy leisurely lunches with the smell of barbecues filling the air. On long summer nights you can spend evenings under that last glow of sun surrounded by bubbles in the garden hot tub.

Luxurious bedrooms welcome weary heads and white fluffy robes and a roll-top bath add a sense of occasion to your evening soak.

The Dillington Estate is a 3000 acre working farm and magnificent countryside estate, open for you to explore. Discover the many bridleways and footpaths that meander through the estate and of course, find a local pub for a delicious meal and maybe a local cider too!

Full of charm and character.

We loved our stay at Atherstone Farmhouse and Cottage. It is large, comfortable and supplied with everything we needed. There are extensive gardens for children to play and the house is full of nooks and crannies for them to explore.
During our stay we did local walks, visited Yeovil Country Park, Ham Hill Park and did a walk from Uplyme down the River Lym to Lyme Regis where the children spent an unseasonal sunny afternoon on the beach.
Three niggles:
Traffic noise from the nearby A303.
The hot tub took far longer than the stated 2.5 hours to heat up.
Why is there a £500 security deposit? There is so much damage already how would the owners claim a guest was responsible for any more? For example in the Cottage the kitchen sink is cracked, a bedroom door is split and a toilet flush lever is hanging off.
That aside it is a superb venue for a family stay.
