Bramble Lodge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy everything that Roadford Lake has to offer. Designed with comfort and space in mind, the lodge has an open-plan living area that's ideal for spending time together — with comfy sofas, a TV, and big sliding doors leading out to a large wraparound patio. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a breakfast bar for chatting over morning coffee, while the dining table is great for family meals or a few board games after a day out.

The lodge sleeps up to six people across three spacious bedrooms, including a master with a private en suite. All the bedrooms have quality beds, soft linens, and plenty of storage. Outside, there’s a large patio with outdoor furniture, a hook and cook BBQ stand, and a private hot tub that seats six — perfect for soaking after a day exploring.

Bramble Lodge is just a short stroll from Roadford Lake itself, where you’ll find lovely woodland walks, a play area for children, and a great café with lake views. The nearby Roadford Activity Centre offers lots of ways to get out on the water, from kayaking and sailing to paddle-boarding and windsurfing. You’ll also have access to on-site extras like a gym, a dog wash station, and EV chargers.

Lovely weeks stay only spoilt by issues on the final Friday

This is our second holiday at the Roadford Lake site this year but our first staying in Bramble Lodge. Like before we had a lovely stay in what is a very comfortable lodge which caters for everything you would need for a weeks self catering break. The back of the lodge overlooks a grass field which was host to some sheep at the time, and with the hot tub positioned in this area, made for a private and not overlooked area, something that not all the other lodge hot tubs have the benefit of. Our stay was from a Saturday to a Saturday and as I mentioned in the title to this review, everything was fine until the final Friday of our stay. Unfortunately a a young all adult male group moved into the lodge directly on the opposite side of the site road from Bramble Lodge. Immediately loud music was heard emanating from that lodge as well as loud talking/shouting at times which included the inevitable expletives!! Not that I see myself as a prude or easily shocked (I am a retired police officer so believe me I have heard everything) but this is not what you want to hear when you look forward to a relaxing stay and having to keep the windows closed to cut out the noise. Furthermore another new arrival on this Friday saw a large mixed party of young adults move into the lodge next to us. We were again greeted by loud music and talking/shouting till gone midnight on that side. So much for adhering to the site rules on keeping the noise to a reasonable level after 10pm and being considerate to the other residents. What made matters even worse for us is that following our first visit to Roadford Lakes, we encouraged some relatives to join us and they stayed in an another lodge (Rose Lodge) during the same week. This same Friday evening we were just in the process of leaving Rose Lodge to walk back to our lodge when it became apparent that an adult female party had moved into the lodge directly across from Rose Lodge and they too were having a party which was all the more exacerbated by the stench of cannabis quite obviously coming from this other lodges direction. I am sad to say that all of this took the edge of what had been, up until this point, another great stay at Roadford Lake Lodges. I must stress that the above comments have no reflection on Bramble Lodge which is absolutely wonderful. I suppose our main disappointment is that Luxury Coastal do not appear to enforce their booking rules with regards to their stated "no all male or female groups" at this site. There seemed no point complaining to the company at the time as there are no company representatives at this site with only a phone number available to make contact with Luxury Coastal. Instead we decided to put up with a disturbed nights sleep in the knowledge that we would be returning home the following day. It is such a shame we had these issues on this occasion as this will seriously make us think before considering another break at this site in the future. For the benefit of Luxury Coastal I can provide the lodge numbers which were clearly breaking site rules should they wish to have them.

The lodge was beautiful, had everything we needed, however we were let down by customer service having reported that the mainshower wasn't working on our first day, we were left without the main shower all week. Also alot of confusion as to who the site manager was, as the number I was given as my contact for the week was apparently an out of hours only? Was given a small refund as a gesture of good will on return after numerous emails back and forth with luxury costal.

We do apologise for the main shower not working properly, however we are glad that there was another shower in the Lodge that was working! We also are sorry that you felt let down by the service that we provided, unfortunately we were not able to get this shower fixed for you during your stay, but the team on site really did try their best.
