A spacious seaside cottage that has been lovingly restored, this traditional Cornish home has held on to its original features and offers a tranquil retreat in one of Cornwall’s best loved coastal towns.

Three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms make the cottage ideal for families, with a large sitting room and wood burner stove creating a wonderful space to relax and unwind in. At the heart of the property you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen complete with its original Cornish range cooker, perfect for preparing a home-cooked feast, and a games room with small snooker table that will keep all of the family entertained during their stay.

The wonderful views of St Michael’s Mount can be enjoyed from the sun room and upstairs patio that leads off of the master bedroom, as well as from the outdoor dining area tucked away at the bottom of the enclosed garden – a great spot to enjoy a meal or two al fresco.

Marazion is a charming seaside town with quaint streets, narrow pavements, pretty cottages and historic buildings. The town's main beach has golden sands that stretch for nearly a mile and the water here offers fantastic conditions for sailing, paddle-boarding, kayaking and kite surfing.

What a wonderful place, hidden away from the bustle but so easy to get to all that Marazion has to offer. The cottage itself was lovely, it has a great quirkiness about it which comes from its history. Lovely master bedroom and the roof terrace was wonderful, it was a cold February stay but the sun came out one day so we enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking St Michael’s Mount. The two twin rooms were also lovely. The bathrooms were also great, good powerful showers and nice and warm.

The log burner in the lounge was so lovely on the cold nights and made the place so cosy!

We came in February to blow the cobwebs away and Cornwall didn’t let us down but it stayed dry so good for exploring the coast but if it had been wet the cottage would be perfect for cosy films or a game of pool in the games room.

I didn’t use the parking as I had walked up to check it out having read it was tight. Suggest doing that if visiting and only trying it if you are sure, parking bin the long stay is a small price to pay for a stay in an authentic Cornish hideaway.

Our family of 5 stayed at Trevara for one week (parents + 15, 14 and 9 year old).

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the space and the ability for our family to spread out though the low ceilings thru-out the house were extremely challenging for 2 members of our party (who are 6'3' and 6'4" in height respectively). The game room was a welcome attraction for our 2 youngest while us parents lived on the balcony off the Master Bedroom!

Our arrival was a little bumpy (literally) as we damaged our rental car trying to get down the lane (we did have a 3 row vehicle, Volvo XC90) so once we unloaded we opted to use the long stay car park in town for the rest of our stay (it took us 12 minutes to walk there).

The house was clean upon our arrival and well stocked (towels, toilet paper, paper towels; dishwasher tabs; tea towels) and the kitchen had everything we needed. We did find the range top difficult to use as it seemed to turn on and off -- making it hard to maintain a constant temperature while cooking. The larger sized fridge and dishwasher were very helpful as was the washing machine in the shed!

The large lounge was a great surprise with tons of seating, allowing us to relax together in the evenings.

But by far the best part of this property was the view of St. Michael's Mount as well as the ocean from the balcony off the Master. We enjoyed coffee in the morning there and drinks in the afternoon/evening all while admiring the spectacular views from this perfectly positioned spot. We were even lucky enough to see the castle lit up one night! We also loved being in a town where we could walk to things - previous locations we have stayed have been more remote and required a car to do anything - so it was a nice change for our family.

Hi Chris, Thank you for your review. We’re delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Trevara. It’s wonderful that the space allowed everyone to spread out and that the game room was a hit with your younger ones. The balcony off the Master Bedroom sounds like a perfect spot for relaxation with those stunning views of St. Michael’s Mount. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the low ceilings and the lane access. Your feedback about the range top is valuable, and we’ll look into it to ensure a better experience for future guests. We’re glad the house was well equipped and that the large lounge provided a comfortable space for your family to unwind together. Thank you for choosing Luxury Coastal, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay! Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal team

A surprisingly large property in a beautiful location with uninterrupted views of Mounts Bay. A clean and comfortable traditional cottage that is tucked away but very close to local amenities. A gem. Just make sure your car fits down the short narrow lane to the parking spot.

A lovely spacious and comfortable cottage with fabulous views across the water to St Michael's Mount.

Positives - comfortable beds and sofas, hot and powerful showers, spectacular views and plenty of space for our family of five in this quirky Cornish bolthole. It's a beautifully quiet and relaxing place to be.

Not so positives - a couple of (fairly minor) points - Cottage felt cold on arrival which wasn't particularly welcoming. The boiler was rapidly effective but noisy and somewhat smelly when running. Some areas of the house were not 100% clean. My son sat next to the radiator in the dining room and a huge, thick cobweb dropped down from the bottom of it! (Understandably large, old cottages are hard to keep pristine)

Things to be aware of - a VERY narrow lane between cottages to access the parking space. We negotiated it in our Kuga on arrival but then preferred to park elsewhere in the village and walk to our car. Also, as this is an old property, the doorframes etc are quite low and bumped heads are possible for the taller guests! Noise travels between the ground floor and bedrooms too so don't expect a peaceful afternoon siesta if you are with a lively family!

Overall, a lovely place, ideally situated to explore this part of Cornwall. We would happily return.

Felt at home the minute we walked in and the views were simply breathtaking. Slept with the curtains open so we could see the sea/St Michael's Mount under the moonlight and sunrise was the best start to any day.

Cozy fire lot's of room for everyone to find their own space if needed and then the location is just fabulous, Marazion is lovely, the beach is 2 minutes away and so is everything else from Mousehole, St. Ives and The Minack Theatre

We absolutely loved it
