Perfect for our extended family over a long weekend. Clean, warm and comfortable. A few extra basics like shower gel and S&P in kitchen would have been nice and fan in twin room could be cleaned. But overall we were very happy indeed. Thank you

The coach house is absolutely perfect, 4 fine bedrooms with ensuites + toilet downstairs, fine big sitting room and separate big kitchen, everything you could need in a house is there and the Family that run the houses are so nice and friendly. Within 20-30 minute drove from all the sites and attractions you could want to visit, beach just down the road.

Thanks for an amazing stay. We will be back in the future.

We’ve enjoyed staying at Portclew House over the years, in the lovely Georgian BnB lodge and in most of the self-catering cottages as our needs changed. The property is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The beds and baths are excellent. Sarah and family are the perfect hosts and we will continue to return with pleasure.

We stayed with a large family group for 2 weeks. Property was nice and clean and well presented. Nice large kitchen and a separate living room with 3 sofas so plenty of space. It was a bonus to have an en-suite for each bedroom. Beds very comfy. The owners were friendly and ready to answer any queries.

We had a wonderful time at Portclew Cottages; the beaches were fantastic, Barafundle Bay Beach was my favourite. The hosts were very helpful and responsive, we were so grateful for the installation of a stair gate for our two-year-old who discover on holiday he could now climb out of his cot.

A lovely holiday cottage, the pictures don't do it justice. Spacious and comfortable, superb communal kitchen and large living room. Owners were very friendly, our kids loved the large open grounds, a short drive down to the beach, or a 10min trip into one of the local towns.

Will definitely being recommending to friends and family, and will be looking to book again.

Loved our stay here, we we’re here for work so didn’t get to explore much but the house is excellent big living room and well equipped kitchen.
All bedrooms are full on suite with very comfortable beds .
Would definitely recommend.

We as group of six adults had waited for a long time for this weekend break, because we had to reschedule it due to the lockdown, and we were not disappointed, well worth the wait.
Since returning we have booked it again for next April, simply because it was home from home in an amazing location. We lare now looking forward to our return.

Stunningly restored period coach house. Accommodation was fantastic. Rural location, but local amenities only a few minutes away by car.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable week with our family here at The Coach House. Four adults and three children. It is our fourth August stay at the Portclew cottages and it has continued to live up to our expectations. On arrival, the house was clean throughout with plenty of kitchen crockery and utensils and linen provided. The owners, Steve and Sarah, are very friendly and welcoming and are always pleased to deal with any requests for help or local information. Reggie was pleased to see us too. The children have known him since he was a puppy. The Covid arrangements and preparations were well thought out and easy to follow.
The location suits us as it is within walking distance of Freshwater East beach and the Freshwater Inn, where we enjoyed our last evening meal with views across to the sea.
All in all, we have had a lovely week with some very happy memories and it was so great to get away after so long in lockdown.
