A gorgeous log house, extremely spacious, well furnished with beautiful decor. Fantastic decking area over looking the lake. Immersed in nature and plenty of wildlife. Deck has a lovely hot tub, which had plenty of use during our stay! And a BBQ. The only thing we would say is, that as the decking had sun on it for the entire day, it would have been nice to have some shade (perhaps a parasol?) So we could really enjoy it all day, and eat out there comfortably. Yes! We were lucky to have amazing hot weather!! We would truly recommend staying here if you love peace and quiet. It is also very well equipped, but make sure you take everything you need for food and drink (we forgot dishwasher tablets so had to go out for a shop, but it even has a washing machine) We chose to stay in and enjoy the location for total relaxation but check through the info folder and visitor comments for places to visit and eating out. We will certainly be returning!

What a wonderful setting this place is! The view out to the lake is not just beautiful but so calming and relaxing. The lodge was excellent- everything you need, including Scrabble which kept us amused most evenings with 12 year old grandson! Loads to do around the area but better to book in advance as the lakes are very busy.

We were blessed by dazzling, hot, sunny weather during our stay at Peterhouse Lodge which enhanced our appreciation of the many attractions offered by this high-quality accommodation. It was lovely to sit on the verandah and look over the lake with its plethora of wildlife, especially the geese which all had troupes of cute goslings in tow. The lodge was immaculately clean on arrival and it was nice to be welcomed by a complimentary bottle of prosecco. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need for self-catering. The open-plan space is nicely divided into kitchen, dining area and sitting room. Each of the two bedrooms had its own ensuite with roomy shower and stand-alone bath. The hot tub was great - just lift the cover off and get in. There is fencing extending into the lake between the four lodges to maximise privacy, although Trinity Lodge featured a bit too prominently in our eye line, especially as it was occupied by a lively hen party group. The lighting is clever with different options for the verandah and motion-sensitive pillar lights for the front path. This place is expensive, but worth it, and we could have done with a few more days there. The only slight disappointment was no milk in the fridge on arrival - that small touch would have been greatly appreciated, as the nearest shop is a good distance away.

What an amazing place, we went for a chilled week and we definitely got that! From the moment we unlocked the door we new it was going to be a great stay .. Lodge had everything you needed and more! Hot tub was a massive hit, looking out over the lake with the ducks, geese and swans made it so tranquil.. visit to Cambridge, went on hop on bus was brilliant. Men had great game of golf, whilst we had a lovely walk into the next village. Everyone so friendly… The welcoming basket was also a lovely touch., will definitely be re-booking ..

This was our second visit here. We love the lodge and the surrounding area. There are some amazing places to eat and local farm shops if you wish to cook. The hot tub is really warm so lovely to enjoy in the winter months. We would definitely Recommend choosing to have your break here!

I booked a long weekend at Peterhouse lodge as a surprise for my partner's birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect. The lodge was in immaculate condition and the hosts went above and beyond in ensuring that we had everything we needed (including ensuring that our pre-arranged groceries were delivered and unpacked for us before our arrival). We were sad to leave but are so grateful for the memories. 100% would recommend.

The lodge was spacious and clean upon arrival. It did however absolutely reek of disinfectant which normally I would not mind but the smell was so strong and overpowering it made me wonder why or what they had to disinfect so much?!
The hot tub is a lovely touch and we enjoyed going in it, however the downside of the hot tub was that every half am hour or so morning and night it clicks on to heat up and the noise is quite loud. This was particularly annoying at night as it kept waking me up.
The bedrooms are also really really dark at this time of year, they need to put brighter lightbulbs in the lamps and lights as they ones they had made no difference and it was very dim and dark trying to put make up on.
Overall we had a great stay and the above are just minor points that I wanted to feed back.

We stayed here in middle October. The lodge was was perfect. Exceptionally clean, well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. We had an amazing stay at Cambridgeshire Lakes. This was our second time and it was just as amazing as the first. The lodges are decorated and maintained to a very high spec and had everything you could need. We enjoyed the hot tub and barbecues on the deck. The lodge was in a lovely tranquil setting, with large windows facing the lake, together with the hot tub on a large decked area. With only 4 lodges here, it was very quiet and we enjoyed a very relaxed weekend. The lodge was very well-equipped and we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms to a high quality. The lodge is warm, cosy and homely. The hot tub was in good working order throughout our stay and we enjoyed this at all times of day and evening. It was a very comfortable temperature. There are clear instructions provided for heating and appliances and we also received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and some biscuits (thanks very much!). There are villages a short drive away with shops and pubs, should you need to venture out. We also had a takeaway delivered although we did need to meet them at the gate as this is locked at all times.
We all had a really relaxed weekend and would very much like to return in the future.

Third stay in a year! So cosy and comfortable we barely leave the property. My favourite thing is watching the sunrise and sunset over the lake from the hot tub. It’s so peaceful and calming watching the wildlife, closely followed by snuggling up in front of the log burner with a book.

This is the best staycation property we have stayed in! The lodge is stunning and of a really high quality, no expense has been spared. The outside decking space is equally lovely and the views across the lake are stunning!
The owners are such great hosts and very responsive to any queries.
Location wise there are lots of nice days out nearby including Wimpole Hall, St Neots and Paxton Pits. It’s also well placed for a day trip to Cambridge or London.
We will definitely be visiting again! Thank you for a great stay!

This was our second stay at the lodges. We love the relaxing setting at Cambridgeshire lakes. We particularly love the privacy and enjoying the nature around us. Our family stayed at the lodge during Christmas time.
The lodge is designed perfectly, it overlooks a peaceful lake which is sometimes frequented by swans and geese.
During the daytime we enjoyed one of the many hikes/walks that take you through the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. In the evenings we used the Jacuzzi followed by movies in front of the wood fire during the cold nights.
It's quiet and secluded, the perfect break from the city but has shops and pubs within 5-10 mins drive. The lodge is excellently maintained and the host couldn't have been more accommodating.

If you are after peace and quiet with good family fun this is the perfect place. After a very hard time the last year and a half this was the perfect tonic. The site it’s beautiful and you are well distanced from the other lodges. The equipment is all there at the lodge not having to worry about bribing much more than food drink and toiletries. Everything is well stocked including toilet paper.

We had a truly wonderful break away with our two young children. They loved the hot tub and that view from the house was majestic. We felt very relaxed and came away feeling very happy and rested. When we arrived we were blown away by the space in the lodge and lovely views out onto the lake. Beds are so comfortable and ensuite bedrooms equipped with tub and shower were all spotless. We had such good weather that we spent a lot of time outside, it would be lovely and cosy to be there in the winter months with the log burner.
We were very grateful for our prosecco on arrival, a nice touch!
The hot tub was awesome!! It was a very special treat to be in it outside in the dark and looking up at the stars.
We cannot thank the hosts enough and will be back again soon x

The lodges at Cambridgeshire Lakes are of superb quality that far surpassed our expectations. On arrival, we were in much need of some rest and relaxation and found the lodges to have everything we needed and more. So much so that we didn’t want to leave most days of the break and decided to stay in, enjoy the incredible views of the lake, play games, cook and make full use of the hot tub. All in all, these are the best lodges we have ever stayed in - we’ll be back for sure.

We booked as a get away during covid and this place does not disappoint, it is exactly as shown in the pictures. Beautiful setting, very restful and we will definitely be returning. Could not recommend it enough.
Communication was quick and covered everything you could need.
No fuss or panic on the day, they provide detailed instructions.

Great relaxing few days hot tub really good, sun lounges Very good ,lodge lovely clean modern everything you required was available pity pub not a bit closer hey but you can’t have everything

We had such a lovely stay in the Peterhouse Lodge at Cambridgeshire Lakes. The lodge was beautiful and very cosy, with extremely comfortable beds! The hot tub was so nice to relax in and the area is so quiet and peaceful it’s a little oasis. Jemma and Charlie are great hosts and I would recommend staying at Cambridgeshire Lakes to anyone.

Fantastic mini break lodge was amazing with everything you needed with lovely decking area, sun beds and hot tub. Had a really chilled out time being by the lake and surrounding countryside. We were sad to leave and will definitely be returning in the future.

Our weekend away (before lockdown) was absolutely amazing! 4 working mums who escaped everyday life. We all live just 15 mins away so we were a bit worried it was too close for comfort but nothing could be further from the truth.
We had a lovely afternoon out at The Ivy in Cambridge and visited a local spa on the Sunday and basically spent the rest of the time in the hot tub singing along to 80's music!
