Our third time back at Cambridgeshire Lakes did not disappoint and was a great way to spend my birthday.
The lodges are superbly appointed, clean, warm and cosy and have everything you could possibly wish for, including a wonderful view across the Lake. Oh...and a hot tub too!
The lodges are in the middle of farmland providing a peaceful environment to 'get away from it all'. However, Madingly park and ride into Cambridge is only 20 minutes away should you wish for an injection of city hussle and bustle. Also recommend the Eltisley pub in Eltisley on the A1040.

This was our second stay at Cambridgeshire Lakes, and it truly felt like coming home! The scenery and views are absolutely stunning, and the property is equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a high chair and cot for our little one. The space is incredibly spacious, giving our family plenty of room to relax, and our toddler loved it too.
The outdoor area was such a treat for us as city dwellers—having so much space and peace around us felt like a real luxury. We can't recommend it enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Booked two lodges for our son, his partner and our new Grandson
Fantastic location very peaceful and secluded , great thought out interior plenty of space with good quality furnishings.
Hot tub was great and nice large bath.
We enjoyed the visit to the farm shop in Gamlingay fantastic pies and meat selection, a must if you’re visiting.
Our only regret was 3 days is not enough for our party.
One suggestion on the booking platform it might be a good idea to have an option to book multiple lodges at the same time to ensure that you’re not disappointed when you have larger family gatherings.
Big thank you for the warm welcome , nice bottle of sparkling wine and biscuits nice touch.

We’ve stayed at CL numerous times now and appreciate all that is on offer, the peace & tranquility, the high spec of the lodges, the convenient location and the air conditioning
This visit was no different, everything was as expected.
We had great weather so made the very most of the outdoor space. We visited Bletchley Park which was about 35 mins drive and Shuttleworth Air Field where the ‘Hot Rods’ festival was on.
We previously had a walk through Wickham Fen and visited the American Cemetery, we’ve also visited Cambridge with its museums and delightful architecture. We’ve also spent a day in London via train (about 45 mins, no cahnges) from local station (Sandy)
We will stay at CL again, no doubt.

We had such a wonderful time staying at St John’s lodge. The location is perfect and the lodge is so beautiful. Honestly, sitting in the hot tub on an evening, looking out at the sunset and the wildlife around the lake, utter perfection. For three nights, the cost is amazing. Having visited previously with my parents I returned with my sister for a pre birthday break. We can’t praise this enough, the lodges are perfect, always spotlessly clean, and have everything you could possibly need. The views amazing and the owners and everyone you deal with are always brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. You can spend hours watching wildlife at the front and back of the property and we do. Highly recommended for a relaxing break. Already booked to return again.

Clean and tidy with all the facilities in working order.
Jacuzzi temperature is set depending on the time of year so if it's Summer the Jacuzzi will be on a low temperature setting and if it's Winter the Jacuzzi can go up to 37 degrees.
Air con works when all the doors & 2 windows are closed.
BBQ is gas powered.
Great get away and I would definitely visit Cambridge Lakes again.

We had a fantastic Easter weekend here. The lodges are amazing and literally have everything you could possibly need. We had the bonus of great weather. Our kids explored the local fields so they loved it too. My only comment would be our mattress was soft and a bit springy for us but we completely get mattresses are difficult to please everyone and it didn’t detract from our stay at all

Our party booked all four cabins for our wedding weekend.
The location by the lake was ideal. The hot tubs were a wonderful bonus. The location is therefore excellent can be used all year around (much star gazing from the tubs this time).
The cabins are quite large, and very comfortable.
We are tempted to return and rent just one cabin for a second visit. I noticed that the cabin's comments book had several second visits. Not at all surprising.

A beautiful cabin, extremely clean and well equipped. The decking has been arranged so that none of the other cabins overlook you, so really quite private, unlike some properties we have stayed at. If you want a quiet, tranquil spot, give it a try.

This is the second time we have stayed her, first visit staying in Trinity and the standard is second to none. The accommodation is extremely comfortable with high quality fittings. The view across the lake is idyllic and it is so peaceful. The decking area is huge, allowing more than enough space for the hot tub, dining area, barbecue and loungers. We just needed better weather to fully benefit but there is everything you need inside to make your stay just as enjoyable on the worst of days. Plenty of walks nearby and of course, Cambridge is a stones throw. A visit to the botanical gardens and the National racehorse museum is a must.

We stayed at St.John’s for the week and it was amazing. Lovely and peaceful and great views of the sunset/sunrise. We really lucked out on such great weather and ended up using the gas bbq loads. The hot tub was great to relax at the end of the day. My toddler loved spotting all the wildlife around the area.
Will definitely recommend this to friends and family.

St. John's lodge is absolutely stunning in every way. Its warm and cosy. Top spec on everything. Hot tub is amazing. Feels very idyllic. Such a beautiful place to stay.

Fantastic lodge in a fantastic location. We stayed here for a few nights as a family with 2 small children and found everything we needed was provided and more. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

The most wonderful lodge, in the most wonderful setting!
This place is absolutely fabulous, the lodges somehow create an atmosphere not to be missed. From the moment you walk in, you feel relaxed, calm, and a sense of relief.
In the uncertain times we all find ourselves in, this place is a must see. Nothing is too much trouble for Jemma and Charlie, they are perfect hosts (well invisible hosts, as they simply leave you to rest and relax!).
A true hidden gem! We have already booked Christmas!! :-)

We had a lovely stay, the lodge was lovely and was cleaned to a high standard. For one of the nights we hired a private chef, as advertised on their website, would highly recommend, the food was lovely and Ed was really friendly. It was the perfect stay cation and we will definitely be back.

We found the lodge exceeded our expectations! So much space & highest quality. Couldn’t fault it at all. Beds were so comfy & gorgeous bathrooms! Lovely little welcome pack with a bottle of prosecco to enjoy was such a personal touch. Was the ideal place to escape to for a change of scenery in these difficult times. The hot tub was also amazing & the perfect way to enjoy the evenings. Would 100% recommend & come back!

Absolutely loved the cabin, Cambridge was lovely and we were very fortunate with the weather. The cabin was perfect for a little break away and we couldn’t recommend it more!

We had such a great stay at St John's lodge! The lodge had everything we needed during our stay.
Lovely surroundings and a added bonus of a hot tub & herb garden! From the start we had a few questions and the customer service could not have been better.
We have told all our friends about Cambridgeshire Lakes and will be booking ourselves to come back very soon.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in St. John's - you really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere but you could also go out and about if you wanted. The lodge was equipped with everything you needed and to a very high standard and extra little touches were really appreciated - especially the bottle of prosecco on arrival, it was really beautiful. We wanted to move in! You won't be disappointed (only when you have to leave) - already planning our return visit! Thank you!

Fantastic Lodges. Beautiful setting sitting in hot tub on the lake. Ideal for two couples with identical ensuite rooms each end of lodge. We would book again if dates were more flexible.
