We love Galmpton Holiday Park. We have stayed in three different bungalows and they have all been excellent. There are lots of lovely places close by to visit. One of our favourites is National Trust, Colston Fishacre. Beautiful gardens and house.

Lovely place to stay everything you need, over the years of staying at different homes on this site it's just a shame the view of the river dart is taken away with uncut hedges on the next field as a few of the homes has dart as part of the name .

We have just returned from a week in Plain Sailing. The park was really lovely. So peaceful and beautifully kept. The enclosed paddock was great for dogs to run freely.
There are lots of things to do in the area. Would recommend a trip to Dittisham and a visit to Greenway, Agatha Christies house. Lots of gorgeous walks and very nice pub in the village.
The bungalow was really nice with everything you could possibly need (although another teatowel would have been handy). No need to take dog bowls, lead or a hair dryer. Lovely, comfy king size bed.
We did have a few minor niggles -
The fridge is tiny. Maybe would be better without the freezer and just an icebox inside.
The towels were very small.
Too many 'knick knacks' everywhere.
We were really lucky to have warm, sunny weather but there is nowhere to sit comfortably on the patio. Just a wooden bench.
The pros definitely outweighed the cons and we had a very enjoyable week and were sad to leave.


This is probably just a matter of opinion but we felt there were too many 'knick knacks' everywhere.

I was visiting family for Christmas and the location was very convenient and the bungalow itself was lovely, Very comfortable with everything I needed including food and water bowls for my dog, which saved me having to bring them! The furnishings were lovely and I felt very at home and it made my stay much more enjoyable. I will definitely visit again. The only thing that would have improved my stay was the weather - it was very wet and windy!

Plain sailing was a well equipped and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen had everything you needed and more! It was super clean too.
The location is very handy for visiting all the local attractions.

This was probably our 6th or 7th time staying in Plain Sailing,.the property never fails to deliver and is like a second home to us:)
I would thoroughly recommend this property or any of the other properties available at Coast Holiday Homes.
Excellent location and real value for money!

This was our 3rd or 4th time staying in Plain Sailing and probably our 10th - 12th time at Galmpton
All of the bungalows are very well positioned and equipped.
We did notice a few things this time in Plain Sailing on how the property could possibly be improved.
1. A larger fridge would be useful [particularly for a family] as the one in the property is very small.
2. The rug in the lounge has seen better days and is very grubby [probably from all the dogs]
3. The wooden [chunky] outside furniture is very uncomfortable to sit on for long periods and would benefit from an upgrade
Non of these distracted us from having a fantastic time and wonderful holiday and as the sun shone brightly for us we even extended our stay by a couple of days.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the property to anyone and all of the bungalows at Galmpton are exceptional value for money

Had a lovely stay at Galmpton holiday bungalow. Did not want for anything. The dog loves the secure outside area so she can come and go as she pleases. As we get older the location just outside the village becomes more tiring. Gone are the days when we walked the coastal path into Brixham and this is why I only gave 4 stars. Is a good base for driving to lovely beaches and villages. Have stayed on this site 5 times since 2010 and this was 3rd time at Plain Sailing.

Firstly, thank you Katie for going above and beyond at very short notice. Secondly, thank you owners for opening up your bungalow to me.

This bungalow is clearly loved by its owners. It is warm, cosy, and has absolutely everything you could need. Situated with stunning views of the Dart and a lovely Devonshire country walk to the local shop and pub. Beautifully quiet location. Loved it

Visited from Queensland Australia and would definitely stay again.

Incredibly clean and had everything we needed including tea etc. Wonderful stay, definitely worth the money. Nice to have an enclosed patio. Will return.
