Wonderful cottage, great location, impeccable hosting from Katie, easy check in and out, all round lovely stay!
We have stayed at this beautiful cottage 4 times and every time it has been perfect. The owners attention to detail to make your stay perfect is second to none and all your needs are catered for in abundance. If you are looking for a romantic and chilled out week by the fire or a full on family fun time this place ticks all the boxes. Plenty of walks and lovely places to visit a great location for exploring Snowdonia and the surrounding area's. Looking forward to another visit soon.
Everything spotlessly clean. Kitchen very well equipped and basket of biscuits and condiments much appreciated. Bathroom was great - very good shower and plenty of room to store toiletries. Beds were very clean and comfortable, with televisions in each room. Location is superb - so difficult to find accommodation in central Brixham. Parking worked well, although we did use the ‘unloading’ bay opposite the house when we arrived.
After working 5 hours away from home this was the most perfect house to stay in for the week it was like a home from home, I will definitely be booking again
Lovely cottage at the end of a small lane. Close to local amenities and and to lots of places to visit to suit all tastes.
Galpmton village itself is a beautiful place to relax in. With a beautiful view of the river, village shop and the fantastic Manor Inn. Being an outdoors family we dont mind the walk up the main road for the buses and the woodland walks right on the doorstep. Laura Lee was perfect, cosy, clean and filled with everything we needed.
Firstly, thank you Katie for going above and beyond at very short notice. Secondly, thank you owners for opening up your bungalow to me. This bungalow is clearly loved by its owners. It is warm, cosy, and has absolutely everything you could need. Situated with stunning views of the Dart and a lovely Devonshire country walk to the local shop and pub. Beautifully quiet location. Loved it Visited from Queensland Australia and would definitely stay again.
Everything about our stay was superb. The lodge was perfect for the four of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, games room and golf. Plenty of things to do in the vicinity. Would 100% return.
We stayed in April Cottage in the middle of summer. The cottage is very spacious, comfortable and clean. We could not have wished for a better place to stay. The kitchen is large, well equipped and clean. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms spacious and light. The patio garden is a lovely bonus. Parking can be a challenge, but that applies to almost any cottage in the Torbay area. Paignton town centre, as well as the seafront, are just a short walk away. We’d recommend April Cottage to anyone and would gladly stay again!
Very nicely furnished, warm and cosy property. The Dart river view was completely obscured by trees on the adjacent caravan site even in late October which was unfortunate but not the owners fault. We appreciated the proper light bulbs, no 40w low energy roaming in the gloaming which you often find in holiday cottages - thank you. Our only complaint would be that the DVD player on the TV was faulty so we couldn't watch films in the evening, which was disapointing. Also the mixer tap in the bathroom was very difficult to operate without soaking everybody and everything. Nerertheless overall a v...more
The Cottage is a great place to stay and to explore Torbay. It has Everything you could possibly need, and it offers a real home from home atmosphere. Highly recommend, and as a regular customer and having stayed in many of the other properties the Cottage doesn’t disappoint and is great for a family of four.
I had a really lovely holiday and even met friends who owned a holiday Bungalow just a few yards away. It was a great location and just up the road from where I used to live in Greenway Park. Lovely walks, close to the picturesque River Dart and the village of Dittisham on the far side of the river. Would recommend to anyone.
We really enjoyed our stay in Dart View. It's tastefully furnished and very well equipped, with so many thoughtful touches. The decking area outside is generously sized and both this, and the main window inside the bungalow, offer a spectacular view over the River Dart. The site itself is quiet and set in a beautiful semi-rural location, offering a peaceful atmosphere, while being only a few miles from the main sights of Torbay. We would definitely book it again.
Contact with the owner to book over the phone was excellent, very friendly and informative. E-mails with confirmation and directions were sent very quickly. On arrival the bungalow was found to be in very good condition, with a welcome pack of tea coffee and biscuits. The kitchen was fully equipped and the whole of the atmosphere of the bungalow was of homely comfort.
Driftwood has a stunning view of the River Dart both from the patio and the window seat.We have witnessed the most amazing sunsets .The site provides a peaceful retreat on the edge of the village and we have enjoyed the country views ,sounds and walks. The location allows easy access to Torbay,Dartmoor and South Hams. The Village pub is a short walk away ,serving good food as is the shop,Post Office and Butchers so all amenities are available. The accommodation is equipped for a relaxing and comfortable stay in this scenic spot.
We loved our stay very clean and tidy, definitely be back! The location is beautiful… beaches on your door step. Thank you so much.
I have stayed at the Palms before during the summer months when it has been fine. Unfortunately we are experiencing very cold weather just now and I arrived to a very cold chalet and a summer duvet, with no extra bedding. The two plug in radiators did eventually warm the place up but were not really adequate for winter stays.
Hill View is in an excellent location close to all of the amenities of Torbay,Dartmoor and the South Hams,it is within walking distance of the National Trust at Greenway,Agatha Christie’s summer residence which is not to be missed. The village in which it is situated is very pleasant and has a Village Pub,Shop,Post Office and Butchers and nearby are further facilities which are but a short walk from Broadsands beach. Hill View itself is in a very sunny position with views of the river Dart and countryside with an outside space in where one can relax and enjoy these. The bungalow is obvio...more
Nice and comfy place, just one thing for me was the slit window in the bedroom could do with a blind.
Two glorious weeks, weather kind to us. Most relaxing, lovely small site and brilliant private accomodation. Own garden to sit in with a nice drink and a book to read. Owner was in next bungalow. she was lovely and most helpful. Our little dog had the time of her life
Owners/JennyWren could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Excellent budget staycation which more than surpassed my expectation.
