Finding a property that suits two adults, a giant bouncy retriever, and a teenager is always a challenge, but our stay at Boconnoc had it all: the breathtaking drive, the gorgeous interiors, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the fun of the games room, and the fantastic walks—not to mention privacy, peace and quiet, an abundance of wildlife, and endless stunning views. I was also incredibly touched by the birthday gift I was left after the staff noticed our early morning celebrations. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to be connected with the local beaches, excellent restaurants ( The Longshore in Charlestown is amazing), etc, but also values getting away from it all. We will definitely be back!

We think Baconnoc is a magical place to spend time. Very welcoming but not intrusive. Everything has been thought through to give a most enjoyable stay. The beauty, tranquility and walks are amazing. Thank you.

Thank goodness for clear instructions to find our accommodation because even Google Maps wouldn't have helped. Once there we found a well appointed cottage. Even the barbecue was complete with charcoal and fire lighters. The freedom to walk in the parkland and gardens, in which rhododendrons and azaleas were at their peak, was a delight. Only birdsong disturbed the silence.

The whole estate is beautiful. Loved the walks, so peaceful. Head Grooms had all that we needed and more. We were very comfortable and warm. Didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

I just love being at Bocconoc. The estate is amazing. Accommodation is very nice with all mod cons. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I can’t wait to see the refurbished dairy.

We have just returned from a wonderful break away and have already booked for next year. Head Grooms Cottage was just what was needed for our small family Christmas. The added touch of a beautiful real Christmas tree was delightful as was the local produce left in the kitchen. The house was tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. We enjoyed a service at the onsite church on Christmas Eve which just added to the uniqueness! The walks onsite were endless and despite the mud due to the incessant rain, we enjoyed every walk! We even cancelled our dinner reservations on two nights because we just didn't want to tear ourselves from our Boconnoc Bubble! Highly recommended!

A unique location with beautiful scenery, the Head Groom’s House felt like a home from home with excellent facilities. Very comfortable and the staff were all extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Dog friendly and would highly recommend.

Excellent service and beautifully clean. We were made to feel very welcome and everybody was very helpful and friendly. The estate is beautiful with wonderful walks, but it was a pity that it could not be viewed from the cottage windows. There were no comfortable chairs in the living area for we older people. The gardens and trees alone make a visit worthwhile.

This is a lovely lovely place, the moment you arrive, you will relax into a comfortable country estate life. No noise, No pollution, Beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpfull staff who go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have booked to return for another 7 days in November, it is a lovely lovely place.
