Lovely place to stay perfect location for visiting lots of places perfect accommodation and lovely hosts
An amazing yurt to experience clamping with kids .the whole family had a great time. Disconnected from the digital world.highly recommend
We had a really wonderful stay at The Calf Pens. There was so much attention to detail that we wanted for nothing. It was clean, comfortable, extremely well laid out and had plenty of books and board games to entertain us. The owners had carefully and thoughtfully put together interesting places to visit and provided information for local pubs/restaurants. All these touches enabled us to have a relaxing stay. We loved our evening strolls around the adjoining farmland and lakes, just beyond the garden. We were lucky to see so many bats and dragonflies, plus many varieties of birds in the wo...more
We really enjoyed many things about our stay, but these were the highlights: Being able to wander in the woods and enjoy the wildlife (undisturbed by dogs!) Access to miles of well maintained footpaths nearby. Good road cycling on Sustrans route 1. Visits to Flatford Mill, Dedham, Pin Mill, Lavenham and Sutton Hoo.
Box Cottage is such a lovely cottage, so well equipped with a really comfortable super king size bed! The garden is such a lovely place to sit out in at any time of the day. Great location for coast and countryside. We love staying here so much we will be looking to book a fourth time!
Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Serene surroundings with privacy and abundant wildlife around. Very relaxing peaceful area with picturesque villages and quiet roads. Tastefully furnished with quality fixtures and fittings. An ideal place to chill.
Lovely interior designed loft overlooking a wonderfully rambling garden. Hosts were very friendly and encouraged us to roam anywhere we liked.
Warm, comfortable, extremely spacious and had everything we needed - including a welcome pack for the dog! Highly recommend this beautiful property.
A lovely cottage - clean, well maintained, and very quiet - in a lovely location: a great place to return to after a day out visiting local attractions, pretty much guaranteed a good night's sleep.
This is our fourth year in a row at this beautiful mill. Each time we always look forward to seeing buzzards, kites, deer, hares and plenty of butterflies. This year, wonderful weather meant we didn't spend much time indoors, although waking up in that comfortable bed and looking through the open stable door was heaven.
The Hayloft is extremely well presented, with a blend of the old, retro, new features and decor. The location is perfect for walks, sightseeing and discovering the local history. What made it extra special for me was the fact that i am a massive fan of the Lovejoy TV series from days gone past. to be able to stay in his workshop, in the grounds of Belchamp / Felsham Hall, was a dream come true. Would highly recommend a stay there. Thank you for making it part of a perfect experience.
We wanted a long weekend base for ourselves, our daughter, husband and 2 very small grandchildren (aged 2 and a baby aged 10 weeks) and their friends to join us - it delivered on every front. The house is an Elizabethan gem, a privilege to stay in, surrounded by a moat, which adds to the uniqueness. The grounds are beautiful - particularly around the house and summer house - with lovely lavender and roses, in full bloom. The pool was used every day - warm and inviting to everyone - and great to sit around. Billy was really helpful on arrival - standing in to cover another of the team's hol...more
The cottage is in the centre of Boxford, a lovely village with all amenities (2 pubs, 2 shops, post office, cafe, butcher, village hall) only a minute or two away by foot. Everything about the cottage is done to an excellent standard. It is well equipped with everything you need and was spotless. The bed was super comfy and both the bedding and towels were of high quality. The courtyard furniture and umbrella were great for alfresco drinks and food (we were lucky to coincide with a heatwave). Great location, great cottage - would definitely book again.
Had a lovely stay in this very picturesque property. Great location for our wedding venue. Lovely part of Suffolk
Very nice clean cottage but road was very busy and car parking was not easy. Also no village shop so had to travel a distance for buying food. We did enjoy our stay there but wish there had been more to do in the village..A welcome bottle of wine would have been nice as we have had this for shorter stays.
This is a really special place and everything was perfect. Stylish, well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful, tranquil location. Dog walks were literally on the doorstep which as well as being convenient, was ideal to explore the surrounding countryside. Am already thinking about when I can return...

I really enjoyed my stay. Owners were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive at all. Property very private, homely and comfortable. Wonderful to have your own private pool !
Our recent stay at The Tryst in Lavenham was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment we stepped through its ancient doorway, we were transported to a bygone era, yet enveloped in a comfort that made our rural getaway absolutely perfect. The Tryst itself is a magnificent example of Lavenham's incredible heritage. As one of the village's oldest homes, this Grade 1 Listed property showcases traditional mid-15th Century timber-framed architecture at its finest. Every corner reveals historic features, some even dating back to the Elizabethan age, allowing you to genuinely "step back into th...more
We were fortunate with the weather and had excellent days locally in Lavenham, Boxford, Long Melford and Sudbury itself. Further afield we visited Constable Country - Flatford and Dedham. We also had a very instructive day at Sutton Hoo. Although we live in Somerset, we had never visited this area before so it was all a real pleasure. Our Australian friends, with whom we shared the rental, also hugely enjoyed it all. The cottage was perfect for our needs. Just one small quibble - there seemed to have been a mix-up between cottages.com and our hosts (Alex and Alex) because they weren't ex...more
It was a charming cottage centrally located in the village. The place was comfortable and quite spacious. Lovely garden to enjoy especially when the weather is as beautiful as we had!!
A lovely converted property, quiet and out of the way, but close enough to get to local attractions. Well equipped and lots of space outside and inside.
We enjoyed our stay and the complimentary items were a surprise and nice touch. I wished I had longer in the property by getting access earlier which would have made it more value for money
We were blown away by the Temple, such a special, magical place. All the space outside was really amazing, our dogs loved it so much. Exploring the woodland areas and being completely safe and secure. The fire pit and seating area was a real treat! We had the best weather and enjoyed the gardens late into the evening, saw the sunset from the front of the temple. Was just so peaceful and relaxing, just what we all needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Lovely village and location but cleanliness could be improved especially kitchen stuff. Feels like it needs a deep clean.
