This is our second stay in this beautiful Yurt. The decoration and furnishings are outstanding, everything is pristine with quality bed linen and towels. The yurt is totally private for a romantic escape. Everything is provided to cook a meal in the kitchen or cook on the BBQ, super outdoor furniture and a small fire pit to light in the evening. The shower is superb with plenty of hot water. There a a few local pubs within a short drive if you wish to venture out. Many thanks again Charlie for a wonderful stay and hope to book again!
Great location and very quiet at night (dark skies so photographed the Northern Lights) Close to A12, so easy to travel out to places quickly. Immaculately presented and clean. Beds comfortable. Great welcome basket with delicious biscuits, cereal and granola. Had all the essentials in the property such as foil, cling film, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets, shower gel and hand wash. The flowers in the bedroom and lounge were a very nice touch. So overall we were very happy with the property and had a very comfortable stay.
Excellent . Nice People . Nice Cows..Nice everything . WE would like to come back again next year Tony and Brenda .
What a lovely cottage! It was comfortable and clean. The hosts were very helpful and accessible which made everything go smoothly. The location was central but quiet and having horses near was an added bonus. The local pub, The Queens Head, was delightful and the publican Steve made us feel like locals.
We were very comfortable in your cottage, and found everything we needed for our stay. We explored the surrounding countryside and little villages loved some of the delightful houses in the area, the weather was even better than we expected as it was late in the season thank you very much.
Lovely interior designed loft overlooking a wonderfully rambling garden. Hosts were very friendly and encouraged us to roam anywhere we liked.
The cottage was excellent - it was very comfortable, with every convenience that I required and was located in a lovely environment
Beautiful location and well equipped spacious property. Loads of country walks directly from The Stables but the property is well located so Sudbury is within easy reach if you want to pick up some provisions. Easy access to may beautiful locations in Suffolk. Very dog friendly too.
Constable Cottage has been renovated to a high standard and well equipped and very comfortable. We have stayed in many cottages around the country and this is now one of our favourites. Ideal for 2 adults with a dog friendly garden back and front. We enjoyed al fresco dinners in the back garden most evenings. It is ideally located for walks around the charming village of Nayland. Fabulous dog walking from the cottage in several directions on good grassy paths and wide open spaces where it was safe for dogs to run free off the lead. The local deli is great for brunch and the gorgeous riverside ...more
An idyllic cottage as the website states in an idyllic setting; beautifully and thoughtfully equipped.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Tea Caddy. The owners have made a great job of utilising the space - it was like the Tardis - it seemed bigger on the inside! We all took the stairs to the kitchen area very carefully as they are steep but it was fine and you can’t change that! The decoration and quality of the finish in the property was excellent and it made it a lovely place to spend a week. I honestly don’t think we’d change a thing and we all said we would happily go back. Thank you also for the wonderful welcome pack and for the extremely well stocked kitchen - we had...more
Overall the cottage was great. Spacious and well equipped. The surrounds were terrific and an absolute credit to the gardener. The information pack was first rate, and loaded with everything you'd need as someone new to the area. Would recommend for sure.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dukes Lodge. Cottage is well appointed, well equipped and very comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend the Kersey Bell in the village of Kersey for lunch or dinner. Owners and Idyllic Cottages were professional and easily reachable. Would highly recommend the cottage and the organization. KW
We loved our couple of nights in the Hayloft, and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The large space was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, especially the bed. Great facilities, good kitchen equipment, and a very welcome welcome basket. Beautiful surroundings, good walks on the doorstep, we also liked exploring Sudbury, and a quick drink at the Pheasant pub nearby. Lovely owners who were very helpful. We will be back.
Brexit turned us away from Britain, but a tentative attempt at reconnecting with our former favourite country was a great success, not least because of the lovely accommodation Swan's Nest in Swan Street in Boxford: Very comfortable, full of atmosphere and a great 'base camp' for excursions to lovely spots in Suffolk. We'll be back - will you?
We very much enjoyed our stay. The place is done up very nicely with great attention to detail. The welcome pack we found was very generous and very much appreciated and enjoyed. The bed is comfortable and bathroom and kitchen in very good condition. Garden area is also very pretty. Surrounding area is beautiful. Highly recommended.
This was one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in. It was well presented, and well equipped and comfortable, as soon as we walked in we felt at home. The location was rural and peaceful with walks direct from the front door around the estate and on footpaths. It was a perfect location for exploring the lovely towns and countryside of Suffolk. The hosts had left a delightful welcome pack of local produce. We cannot wait to return to either this cottage or one of the others available at Belchamp Hall or through Idyllic Cottages who made the whole booking process easy and supported ...more
Peaceful and delightful 4 night stay at the silos. Beautiful and quirky space with some lovely details. Excellent location for access to Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Orford etc.. Everything you need provided for in a clean spacious setting.
A very comfortable place to stay in a lovely part of the world with plenty of places to visit nearby.
• The owners left us a welcome package of apple juice, bread, biscuits and eggs. All very welcome, especially the apple juice which, although looking challenging, was total nectar! • Yew Tree Barn is very well located for the “Constable Country” of Stoke-by-Nayland / Flatford / Dedham / East Bergholt etc. • Yew Tree Barn (YTB) is spacious, beautifully appointed and well equipped. Many places we stay are pretty but clearly have not considered that, having unpacked, you need to leave the suitcases / boxes and bags somewhere. This does not apply to YTB. We used the second bedroom but there w...more
The Tryst is a gem. This beautifully restored cottage has been thoughtfully and sensitively decorated. It is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and its garden is a beautiful and tranquil place to relax and unwind. The AGA cooker was a particularly wonderful surprise that added to the authenticity and pleasure we had during our stay. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed our stay at Orchard Coach House. No problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend it, very relaxing few days. Nice routes around the area for dog walking. Would recommend the black lion at Long Melton for a good meal. Second time using idyllic cottages website and would book again.
Like the washing machine, but could have done with somewhere to hang washing.Needed also a shower mat.
