We wanted a long weekend base for ourselves, our daughter, husband and 2 very small grandchildren (aged 2 and a baby aged 10 weeks) and their friends to join us - it delivered on every front. The house is an Elizabethan gem, a privilege to stay in, surrounded by a moat, which adds to the uniqueness. The grounds are beautiful - particularly around the house and summer house - with lovely lavender and roses, in full bloom. The pool was used every day - warm and inviting to everyone - and great to sit around.
Billy was really helpful on arrival - standing in to cover another of the team's holiday.
The area around the house is arable farmland, very typical of Suffolk - quiet and peaceful, but you have to drive to visit anything.
