What a superb space and location! Couldn't have been any better. if you want a quiet getaway this is the one. Short car drive to the coast and 3 miles from local town for shopping. And a large pond with two black swans on it. Couldn't have hoped for any better. And as snooker table thrown in. Met by Judi who was very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back.....
We had a really lovely stay in The Yurt — it had everything we needed and was so warm and cosy, even in November. The hot tub was brilliant, especially for a bit of star gazing in the evenings. The attention to detail throughout was fantastic, and we really appreciated the little touches — including the wagon to ferry our things from the car to The Yurt. All the information we needed was laid out clearly in a detailed booklet, which made everything really easy. Charlie was incredibly helpful and always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. The location is great too, with plenty ...more
We had a wonderful week staying at the Milking Parlour in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The location was perfect, offering easy access to Ipswich and charming surrounding villages. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and friendly, making us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was cosy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape to the countryside!
Very clean, smart and well equipped. Access to considerable grounds of the old estate, a pleasure to explore. Would certainly consider staying again if in that area.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is comfortable and very well equipped. We appreciated the welcome pack and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
We were a multi generational group celebrating a 75th birthday. The highlight was the swimming pool, our four grandsons had a wonderful time with the numerous pool toys. The adults enjoyed a swim too. Lovely large garden for football (we brought our own portable goal), badminton and boule. The little boys particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the delightful courtyard garden. The house is close to GoApe which they enjoyed as well. My only slight downgrade on comfort was because it was very hot, the duvets were too thick for that level of summer heat. This isn’t unusual in rental properties ...more
Aspen Loft is a beautiful place to be. We adored the colourful décor of the loft! It has such a warm & cosy atmosphere. A welcome break from the fast pace of life. The surrounding area gives you the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, slow down and relax. The welcome pack and other niceties were so thoughtful. Our superb hosts Kate, her husband and the dogs were very welcoming. We highly recommend Aspen Loft to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.
A well located, very well kept cottage with a wonderful host. Juliet is extremely responsive to any queries or requests from her guests and does everything that she can to ensure that your stay lives up to expectations. The local pub, The Crown, is within a few minutes walk and is a great asset with ann excellent menu, good bar and beautiful gardens. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Warm, comfortable, extremely spacious and had everything we needed - including a welcome pack for the dog! Highly recommend this beautiful property.
A little gem set in a beautiful location. Very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Will definitely be going back.
This was our second stay at Beachams Cottage, and it was as perfect as last time. Total seclusion with nothing but the birds, trees and clear skies (note: the golf course runs parallel to Beachams lane, so you may find the odd golf ball). The garden is beautifully kept, with stupendous roses, and the gardener visits twice a week, but does not intrude at all. The owners live in the next door barn, but also never intrude. We have a cockapoo, so the open space and size of the garden is important to us, as are the numerous nearby walks. The cottage itself is a delight and you should expect what na...more
Lovely comfortable place to stay. Slightly rural so need a car to visit places in Suffolk. Very quiet and peaceful.
My sister and took our dogs to the Temple for some much needed rest and relaxation. It far exceeded our expectations in so many ways! A meticulously restored historical building with all the modern touches you could need. Not a neighbour in sight with stunning views across Euston estate. Huge private enclosed area perfect for the dogs to run and pin drop silence all around! Many thanks to the Duke & Duchess for deciding to rent this as a holiday home. What a treat it was to stay here. Claire Great Bardfield
A charming and distinctive property in an absolutely gorgeous setting. It was so peaceful: walks direct from the door were plentiful and returning to the comforts of the Mill a delight. We had a wonderful week and would recommend the Mill without hesitation.
The Hayloft is extremely well presented, with a blend of the old, retro, new features and decor. The location is perfect for walks, sightseeing and discovering the local history. What made it extra special for me was the fact that i am a massive fan of the Lovejoy TV series from days gone past. to be able to stay in his workshop, in the grounds of Belchamp / Felsham Hall, was a dream come true. Would highly recommend a stay there. Thank you for making it part of a perfect experience.
We wanted a long weekend base for ourselves, our daughter, husband and 2 very small grandchildren (aged 2 and a baby aged 10 weeks) and their friends to join us - it delivered on every front. The house is an Elizabethan gem, a privilege to stay in, surrounded by a moat, which adds to the uniqueness. The grounds are beautiful - particularly around the house and summer house - with lovely lavender and roses, in full bloom. The pool was used every day - warm and inviting to everyone - and great to sit around. Billy was really helpful on arrival - standing in to cover another of the team's hol...more
A lovely place to relax, clean and comfortable. Pool was lovely, such a great addition and warm enough for mid May. Well equipped kitchen, had everything we needed, with nice welcome basket with all the basics. Thanks for the lovely stay and providing the sunny weather at the end of the week!
We had a wonderful three night break at the Silos - our second trip . The location is perfect and the accommodation is warm and comfortable. Just right for two people . The sounds of the wildlife and the otherwise peaceful setting make for a relaxing holiday. Framlingham has nice individual shops and the castle is definitely worth a visit - both very nearby .
This is a really special place and everything was perfect. Stylish, well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful, tranquil location. Dog walks were literally on the doorstep which as well as being convenient, was ideal to explore the surrounding countryside. Am already thinking about when I can return...
We enjoyed our stay at Tea Caddy Cottage. It is a lovely setting and a garden with dotted about benches outside to sit in or out of the sun. The downstairs bedroom was wonderfully cool in the hot weather. I even used the duvet at night - unheard of at home in a heatwave. Lots of nice large glasses both for wine and long cold drinks to use and plenty of crockery and cutlery. I didn't do a lot of cooking, but I found everything I needed when I did. The knives were sharp as well which I much appreciate. The bathrooms were a treat to be in with and having two was great. Being able to take o...more
This is a lovely quiet rural location from which countryside and the wider attractions of Suffolk are easily accessible. Property is nicely sized and equipped for 4 people. Local pub is a goldmine for proper beer and cider.
The perfect cottage for our stay in Suffolk - a real step back in time but will all the modern appliances and equipment you'll need. Duke's Lodge was very spacious and extremely comfortable - and delightfully quirky too. The location was great - right in the centre if a lovely, historic Suffolk village - just a few steps away from two pubs / restaurants. From the front door there is a lovely walk out to the village church and King's Pightle nature reserve. If you're looking to explore this ancient county then Duke's Lodge is the perfect base.
We had a great couple nights stay at the medieval Tryst in stunning Lavenham. Wow what a place, I was fascinated exploring it and reading about the history. Clean, loved the warmth from the AGA, cosy, very comfortable beds, it had everything we needed. Lovely outside area, and you are just on the doorstep to everything. I couldn’t get parked in the space in front but it wasn’t really a problem, just unloaded then parked around the corner in the car park and brought it back down to load up. So if you want to take a step back in history I truly recommend this extraordinary cottage!
Beautiful property quiet and peaceful with an impressive approach up the driveway. Kevin & Doris our 2 dogs loved exploring the huge grounds which are very secure.. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. The oven was quite dirty the door looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while We were very lucky to have beautiful weather so spent a lot of time outside, the garden furniture really needs to be replaced or at least buy some new cushions for the chairs and loungers and a parasol for a bit of shade on the patio. The location is great only about 10 ...more
We had a nice stay at your little cottage. The Christmastree was a plus and the beds were very good. Not everything was clean in the kitchen and the seats in the living room has got their best time, not good for the back. It's a bit pricey ...
We had a lovely week over Christmas - the cottage is very cute (smaller than it looks in the photos) but is ideal for a couple. Warm comfortable and a great location in the centre of Lavenham.
The Pump House is a very unique property in a very tranquil setting. The unusual features of the industrial use of the building in its previous life have been sympathetically enhanced and add to the interior ambience. The water meadow grounds provide an opportunity to observe the comings and goings of various animals, birds and insects. All in all, a stay in this property will provide a chance to be in a relaxing environment but also to take advantage of the opportunity to explore the countryside made so famous by the paintings of John Constable.
