We turned up to our lodge style cottage in the dark to a beautiful full moon which shone on to the lake while the owls hooted! We knew right away we were in a special place. The lodge itself is decorated to a high standard and you can see the owners have an eye for detail with the lovely books and artwork that's on display. It is fully equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a lovely basket of goodies which was appreciated. We were luckily blessed with the most gorgeous weather although I would love to come back in all weathers as I'm sure it looks just as beautiful as the seasons change. Walking out onto the pretty veranda to the stunning views of the lake left me quite in awe. We heard nothing but ducks splashing, birds singing, bees buzzing, the flap of dragonflies wings in the reeds and the air show they gave us was something else! The place is teaming with beautiful wildlife and I spent a day sitting on the bench painting the lovely scenes in front of me and taking photographs of all the wonderful nature around us. We felt so at peace and like we had a huge reset. Thank you for a wonderful stay. It really is a hidden treasure and we will look very forward to returning again soon.
