This was our second stay in this charming cottage. This time in Spring it was nothing short of magical. Nestled within ancient woodland, the location is perfect for nature lovers—spring walks through the woods revealed a breathtaking display of wildflowers, blossoming trees, and birdsong.

The cottage itself was a delight—comfortable, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated with a blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. We particularly loved the cozy living area, where we could relax after a day of exploring.

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates nature, comfort, and understated elegance.

The Woodshed is a lovely cottage, in an idyllic setting. It's well furnished, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with plenty of hot water, and a great selection of books to while away the hours. We had a wonderful week and look forward to returning one day.

What a delightful cottage! We had a wonderful and relaxing stay and although the temperature was at times below freezing outside, it was warm and cosy inside. The cottage is beautifully appointed and equipped with everything that we needed for our week's stay. Although we didn't do much cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped and everything was very clean. In fact all areas were spotlessly clean.
Higham is a quiet area with very little light pollution and when the sky is clear at night which was the case on several nights during our stay, the vast expanse of dark sky swarming with bright stars that one could see just outside the cottage was mesmerizing.
It is a lovely place to stay and we thoroughly recommend it

Great location and very quiet at night (dark skies so photographed the Northern Lights)
Close to A12, so easy to travel out to places quickly.
Immaculately presented and clean.
Beds comfortable.
Great welcome basket with delicious biscuits, cereal and granola.
Had all the essentials in the property such as foil, cling film, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets, shower gel and hand wash.
The flowers in the bedroom and lounge were a very nice touch.
So overall we were very happy with the property and had a very comfortable stay.
