The Treetop was a lovely retreat - modern and cosy nestled amongst the trees. We would highly recommend walking along Grandfather's Bottom to Butser Hill for the fabulous views that stretch to the sea.

We booked the tree house as something a little different to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary . The treehouse itself was amazing , very comfortable and tastefully decorated . It was however the personal touches that impressed us the most. The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and coffee pods ( much appreciated after our journey) and the toiletries were of a high quality . A welcome booklet provided suggested walks, places to visit and local restaurants. We are already looking at dates to return to try out the other lodges that looked equally impressive and highly recommend staying at Barrow farm Hill.

The Treehouse was beautiful. I stayed for a long weekend and could have stayed longer! So peaceful and surrounded by nature, I even had squirrels on the veranda! The house itself is beautifully equipped, lovely shower room and very comfortable bed. The kitchen was well set up, all mod cons and a comfy sofa to relax and great WiFi connection. I will certainly be stopping again - thank you!

If you need a break away from it all this is the place. Privacy away from people with stunning scenery. We switched off our phones and just enjoyed what mother nature had to offer in this beautiful treehouse. Well equipped treehouse and the roll top bath was fabulous, sat with a glass of wine in hand listening to the sway of the trees. Scenic walks in unspoilt countryside with a visit to Seven Stars pub a must - This is a high quality set up - not cheap but you get what you pay for. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful 48hrs away from everything and everyone.
Bathing with the sounds of birds singing and watching the squirrels was a treat.

My husband and I stayed in the Treehouse for two nights in April - we LOVED it! If you need somewhere to stay for a complete reset in beautiful surroundings this is the place - literally THE most peaceful place we have ever stayed. The only sounds were the trees swaying and the sheep! The Treehouse is kitted out with everything you would need for a few nights away.

We stayed here for a long weekend for our ‘baby moon’ for a nice, quiet and relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we got! It was incredible! Even the building itself was perfect, up in the trees, we watched a lot of the wildlife around and even managed to get out for a short walk despite all the mud and rain about! 10/10 would recommend and would definitely come back and stay longer next time! Stunning location and property. It was a real treat to wake up to a beautiful, unspoilt view. Despite it being cold and wet outside, the bath was filled and the doors were open. Total luxury. We had a couple of days of pure relaxation and would have loved to have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

This spot is perfect if you want peace and quiet with just the sounds of the forest. The ability to open up the entire deck area gives an additional feel of space to kick off you shoes and relax. We stayed at the treehouse for our wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere super chilled and we found that in the treehouse! The setting is gorgeous it’s in the lush countryside and you do truly feel you are really tucked away. It is very private even though a couple of other lodges are on the same site (they are very spaced out and private). All we could hear was the trees rustling and birds it was really relaxing. The treehouse has all the kitchen bits you could need and there are shops and pubs nearby. Would highly recommend

The Treehouse is perfectly situated down a path, overlooking the woodlands below. Tucked away, it feels cosy and welcoming as soon as you get in. There’s a nice area to chill inside and then when the sun is shining, the balcony is the perfect spot for a few evening drinks. Thanks Rob, it really delivered on all fronts.

We had a two night stay over the Easter period and loved every minute. The Treehouse was amazing, providing comfort and luxury. We especially liked sitting on the balcony listening to the dawn chorus. The location was great too, offering some great walks to nearby towns and beautiful sights. Would a highly recommend!

The treehouse is stunning - the view and location are breathtaking looking out on to fields with sheep was very special and the design inside is beautiful and you can see a lot of care has gone into making it a very peaceful and aesthetically pleasing space. The kitchen was well equipped and had a coffee machine too (although no microwave - which is worth knowing, but not needed with a hob and oven). The bath was simply amazing and to be able look out on to the incredible view - just perfect after long walks. The shower was also brilliant with fantastic water pressure and luxury Ren products (I liked it so much I will be taking inspiration from this design for my own bathroom at home!) . We did a couple of the suggested walks and really enjoyed these and appreciated the step by step directions which were very thorough! We also went to 2 of the recommended pubs both of which were excellent as well (Ye George and the Hawkley). Overall a really wonderful 2 night escape and we would love to return in summer.

This was our second stay with Barrow Hill Barns. The location is ideal to get away from the noise of the city, but shops and pubs are still within reach. Plenty of wildlife and country walks to keep you entertained. It's perfect for a couples retreat

Our stay at the Treehouse was absolutely amazing and could not fault it. The location is stunning and is surrounded by beautiful walks. If you want to switch off and have a relaxing break then this is the ideal place to stay.
We visited local pubs and was very impressed by the recommendations on the site. It’s often difficult to decide where to go if you haven’t visited somewhere before so we really appreciated this.
