The Treehouse was beautiful. I stayed for a long weekend and could have stayed longer! So peaceful and surrounded by nature, I even had squirrels on the veranda! The house itself is beautifully equipped, lovely shower room and very comfortable bed. The kitchen was well set up, all mod cons and a comfy sofa to relax and great WiFi connection. I will certainly be stopping again - thank you!
I booked the Longhorn for my husband’s birthday and we were not disappointed. Finding it was a little tricky as the light was fading when we arrived and the sign was quite small so we drove straight passed it so we needed to stop to get our bearings. Longhorn itself was everything that we wanted, the scenery was definitely the main attraction for us. We sat out on the decking of an evening and watched as the wild life entertained us. We saw a barn owl, deer, a badger, rabbits and pheasants. We used the walk guide that Rob had provided and we chose the Butser Hill route that took us a couple...more
This was our third time at Barrow Hill Barns. It is the perfect location for being near family for any occasion while remaining independent. Always clean and comfortable and it is an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend it.
Easy to book online although despite this, we still managed to put the wrong dates in! A quick phone call to Rob was enough to sort it all out without any issue. Boxsteddle Barn was a beautiful property and the location very peaceful. Quite a short drive to the nearest village of East Meon which has a pub and village shop, or the town of Petersfield with more shops and facilities. Quite a few nice walks from the property. Standard of the property and cleanliness was very good. The shower in the upstairs bedroom lacked any gusto but was adequate. We also had to give the outside table an...more
Lovely setting for the cottage complex which is very well planned so that there is very little actual overlooking of each cottage. Everything was as described, Wifi, EV charging point, BBQ's - everything was there, and although we didn't book the property with its own dog paddock we thought it a very good idea. The field in front of the property enticed us into walking along very well kept pathways and the wildflower meadow was beautiful. Beds lovely and comfortable, good quality linen. Lots to see and do in the area. The owners were responsive and helpful.
We stayed in Pump Meadow - and it exceeded our expectations as our first stay in a dog friendly accommodation. The barn lacked nothing, it was in a beautiful location, we found plenty to do. Would recommend Skye Park for breakfast and a well stocked farm shop and QE country park.
Great location and cottage, this is our 3rd stay in the last 12 months as we have family locally. Site and facilities are great and it is easily located for access to a lot of the surrounding places and its dog friendly with lovely walks from the door around the fields belonging to the site. It is very popular and books up quickly with a high turnover of visitors which leads to rapid turnarounds and hence some of the cleaning is slipping a little, hence we have marked it down from previous 5 star reviews. Bit more attention and back to 5 stars easily
We have stayed a number of times at the Barns and they never disappoint. Great accommodation, views and wildlife. Lots of places to explore, including national parks, historic houses, glorious gardens, naval history where you can walk, shop, eat, etc.
Love this place. Extremely comfortable and clean, well equipped - and with views I could look at forever. On top of that, plenty to do within a short drive. Closest town is Petersfield - about 10 mins drive away. Great town, good selection of shops, as well as several take always and restaurants/pubs. This was the 6th time we have stayed at Barrow Hill Barns. It always feels like coming home and we hope to be back very soon!
Had a great stay, great local walks and pubs nearby (after a walk). Only issue is we couldn’t let our dog - a small pug outside alone as there is a 5 bar gate that leads into the next property. She could get around the fence and under it too. For a property that is supposed to be enclosed for dogs this is my only complaint. Wasn’t relaxing to let her out for a pee without a lead as she did wander to next door at points. Thank you for everything else
The clear highlight of The Hide is the location and view, which is so peaceful and tranquil it instantly relaxes you. However, it's easy to hang everything on a good location and miss the other details, which this definitely does not. They've set up a huge balcony with a roll top bath, quality and comfortable seating and near full length bifold doors to open the inside of The Hide to the outside. Everything felt quality and comfortable, with decent cooking facilities, a good shower, good internet and TV if you need to duck inside and nothing missing. We loved the couple of nights we spent ther...more
