During my recent stay at Barrow Hill Barns, I was blown away by how perfect everything was from the moment I arrived. Nestled in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, the barns offer a truly luxurious escape. The accommodations are beautifully designed—modern yet full of warmth and character. It felt like a home away from home, but better!

The owners have clearly put so much care into creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Every detail has been thought of, from the stylish decor to the incredible comfort of the beds. I especially appreciated how spacious the barn was; it gave me plenty of room to relax and enjoy my time.

I can’t recommend Barrow Hill Barns enough—it’s the perfect retreat for anyone looking to recharge and enjoy the countryside. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Having stayed here for 3 weeks. It was the perfect home from home. It had everything we needed aswell as being comfortable for my young family. Rob was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with if we needed anything. Would recommend for a holiday or anyone needed to stay in the area.

This was our third time at Barrow Hill Barns. It is the perfect location for being near family for any occasion while remaining independent. Always clean and comfortable and it is an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend it.

We met up with our son for a birthday break. Location and view from Wheatricks was lovely. The barn was well equipped and comfortable, and we had a hook up for our electric car.
Not seeing owners/ member of team, and reception made a good experience a little impersonal.

Barrow Hill was the second stay of our holidays and didnt disappoint! The barns are about 5 mins drive away from all local shops and also within a short drive of lots of different attractions and places to visit. The barn was very clean and had everything you could need including washer and dryer. There was your own outside space and also loads of walks for the dogs who are welcome in most places you visit. To be honest we couldn't fault it, so much so, as it was the end of the school holidays we were fortunate enough to be able to extend our stay by a couple of days as it wasnt booked. Rob was on hand if you needed anything as well via phone or email. Only thing I would say is if the weather is good get matches or a lighter for the bbq as the hob wasnt a gas one so we had to lend matches from our neighbours lol....although plenty of places to eat out as well! We are hoping to be able to go back next year to do all the things we didn't get chance to this time around. Beds super comfy, bathrooms ideal with big showers and plenty or room and space even with 2 German Shepherds in tow who were living the dream! Dog walkers paradise! ( Gardens aren't enclosed, but we knew this when booking, so certainly not a criticism). If you had an enclosed space, it would be beyond perfect! Thanks Rob and team from the Kendalls

This is our second stay at Barrow Hill Barns but staying in a different barn this time. We were not disappointed. We had a very comfortable stay. The barn is very clean and has everything you need ( the milk, tea and biscuits were most welcome!). Our host was quick to respond to our queries and access to the barn was easy. All that topped with beautiful scenery - what’s not to like?!



Serene countryside location, a perfect slice of tranquility away from the urban rush!

We had an excellent, comfortable stay thank you with a well-supplied kitchen and wonderful views. The bathrooms were clean and well-appointed but a grab-rail in the shower would mean I could use it being disabled, and the position of the shower gel, etc., was too far away from the shower controls. I just noticed a few cobwebs high up on the ceiling beams.

Two adjoining properties, lovely views and walks……didn’t realise Petersfield was such a quintessential English market town……..perfect.
The host allowed us a earlier checking, which was extremely helpful. The property was extremely clean and tidy, we asked for two high chairs, nothing was too much trouble.
An excellent long weekend, as we had two properties next to each other for 7 adults and 3 toddlers……..it just worked for us, and we will return.

We stayed at Barrowhill Barns for my sister’s wedding weekend. We stayed in Wheatricks which was simply brilliant. The bedrooms were large with well proportioned en suites and the whole barn was impeccably clean. We stayed with a toddler and a baby and the hosts had thought of everything for the little ones. They offered a travel cot and arranged for a high chair to be available for us. The hosts had even left a little bottle of children’s bubble bath in the bathroom which the toddler was very excited about! The kitchen had all the equipment you would need for self catering, including oil, salt, tea, coffee and a carton of fresh milk which is great to get you started. It was lovely to open the bi fold doors onto the patio and have a space to sit and have food too. We also went for a walk to the end of the long field which was a great space to get some fresh air and let the toddler run around safely. Rob was a faultless host, providing everything we needed and making us feel very welcome. Thank you!

Taking a cottage break in the country at the end of November might seem a little bizarre but the accomodation was superb. The house was warm, comfortable and welcoming. While we chose the house with two bedrooms it was tremendously spacious and very well equipped. The kitchen allowing us to self-cater with ease. The standard of equipment within the house is very high.

With my wife and I both having back problems, it is really difficult for us to find accomodation with good beds. The beds here were absolutely superb, neither of us had any issues.

Being located reasonably close to the A3 (within 6 minutes) allowed us to make those visits we had planned. We could easily have spent the whole week in the property if we had chosen to. The location is stunning, with a great view from the property.

If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful property then I would definitely recommend it.

We had a brilliant stay at the Barns as a family of 4. The property is beautifully designed and very comfortable with great beds, under floor heating and amazing showers. The surrounding area is great for local walks, even in a rainy weekend. Would highly recommend!

We couldn’t fault the accommodation , very comfortable king size beds , bespoke bathrooms with wet room showers. Great views through the bi folding door across the fields for our dog to explore . Quiet , relaxing with lots to do nearby . 10/10 , wonderful stay .

We booked last minute for a weeks stay, as a family of 4. We thought the location was convenient for reaching places of interest, including the coast, Portsmouth and Southampton, which were all within 45 minutes of the accommodation. The local superstore was less than 10 minutes drive.

The kitchen was well stocked with equipment needed for a self catering stay. The water was hot, the beds were very comfortable, and the place was inviting and tidy. The added extras like the toiletries and milk/ apple juice in the fridge were welcomed touches.

It really was a lovely stay in a quiet rural location.

We stayed in Wheatricks barn and loved it from the minute we arrived. Beautiful grounds and accommodation. Spacious, excellently equipped in the kitchen, including S&P, olive oil, cling film, Nespresso pods & tea, milk and apple juice on arrival too and every utensil you could need including bbq tongs for the Weber bbq we used. Beds were more comfy than home with crisp white linen. All furniture high quality and the bathrooms luxurious with huge soft towels. Huge bi-fold doors open up onto a patio with comfy chairs, table and parasol. The view, sitting in the morning sun across the field was the best - a real soul retreat. ☀️
We had two spaniels with us, they loved the open space and the field beyond the fence was doggy walking heaven. A dog shower on site made sure our pups were clean and fresh before we went back indoors. Plenty of walks from the barns to local pubs and village for those who like to venture out on foot.
Absolutely highly recommend - we were not looking for faults as that’s not our way, but pretty sure even the fussiest of people would struggle to nitpick! We will be back again soon!

We stayed at Weatricks for my niece’s wedding and couldn’t be more pleased. It was more like a plush hotel with everything at the highest standard. Wheatricks was very well equipped, even down to a nesspresso machine. The linen and towels were also luxurious and we were truly pleased to have been recommended Barrowhii Barns, we will certainly be returning.

When we turned in to the complex, we were so impressed. All the buildings have been restored/built to a great standard and are absolutely beautiful.

The sofas and beds were very comfortable, the heating great (it snowed while we were there), and the towels were luxurious. The kitchen had just the right amount of crockery and other utensils - pretty much everything you need but not stuffed with odds and ends.

We will come back - it was a great break.

We stayed here the night before and night of our wedding. The bedrooms are huge and bathrooms very luxurious, it was lovely to have the bedrooms as en-suites. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. It was very clean and the location is so peaceful and beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Wheatricks at Barrow Hill Barns. The barns are a touch of luxury and if I could give more than a 5* I would! They are clean, very comfortable and have everything you need and more. The location is excellent with plenty of walks on your doorstep. Rob, Sarah and the team provide an excellent customer service, giving all the information needed and providing advice on things to do with the kids. I would highly recommend and we cannot wait to visit again.

We are a family that wanted somewhere to stay that was close to Portsmouth. We also have a fully electric vehicle and needed somewhere that had a charging point. The barn was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. We were happy that we felt 'covid safe' in this property. The manager was very friendly & helpful & responded quickly to a minor issue that we had in the bathroom. It was really convenient to be able to charge the car up on site, there were no problems connecting. I would definitely recommend this property for short stays in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Wheatricks. Lovely setting. Comfortable and well equipped. Provision of a fan was a nice touch during the heat wave. A tray would be useful as we were able to eat outside. Walk details might need reviewing as possibly a bit out of date. Would recommend and hopefully revisit.

We had a lovely week at Wheatricks despite the rain! The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable - the showers and toiletries were great. We really appreciated the field for dog walking on our doorstep, and we liked the view from the living room! Lots of interesting things to do in the area in easy driving distance, and the recommended pubs were very good, especially The Shoe Inn’s garden by the river!

We all had such a wonderful time at Wheatricks, it really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, however as the weather was so hot a parasol for the patio and a room fan would have been nice.
As my son was getting married in The Tithe Barn in Ditcham this was the perfect location for all of us (21 in total) to get together before and after the big day plenty of room to socialise.
The view from the patio was fantastic, it was so peaceful and picturesque.
Thanks for a great few days. See you next July for there 1st Anniversary. (Already Booked)

This was our second visit to Barrow Hill Barns and was just as relaxing as our first. Excellent facilities. Barns are comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Would suggest anyone staying will need to have a car, if you want to get around the area. That said, there are stunning walks to do with the aid of the details provided by Rob and his team.
We have two spaniels and it was paradise for them. Plenty of rabbits, badger, pheasants and deer to seek out, although thankfully they never catch them. Dog wash provided at reception and it is warm water, they don't even get that at home !
Would highly recommend a visit to Barrow Hill Barns if you are looking for peace and quiet. Amazing countryside and lovely long walks. Will be going back.

My husband and I and our dog stayed at Wheatricks for 3 months whilst our house was undergoing a major refurbishment. It proved to be the best decision. Wheatricks was the perfect comfortable base. It had everything that we needed and Rob was a great host always responding very quickly.
We would not hesitate to stay at Barrowhill Barns again if the need arises.

We stayed at Barrow Hill Barns for a few weeks over Christmas and had the most wonderful time. The cottages are absolutely beautiful, sparklingly clean and set up with everything you need for a short or long stay. Rob and the team are so helpful, always responding within an hour or so to any questions we had, and made sure we had everything we needed. The location of the cottages is amazing, the views are beautiful and it's so peaceful. We had our dog with us and it was absolutely perfect for him, the walks are great and they even have a warm water hose for when you get back from a muddy walk! We are already looking at our next trip this year, can't recommend the barn highly enough.

We recently stayed, for the first time, at Barrow Hill Barns and it certainly won't be the last. The attention to cleanliness and adherence to government guidelines in these current Covid 9 times, was second to none. Felt very reassured.
The location is idyllic with plenty of beautiful countryside to explore and it is nothing short of paradise for dogs. We visited some of the local pubs and restaurants all within easy reach of the barns.
The barns themselves have been given a lot of thought and attention with quality fixtures and fittings, ensuring a relaxing stay.
Thank you Rob and team we will most certainly be back !

This is our second stay at this property and it will not be the last. We were able to take our 3 labradors with us and they enjoyed it as much as we did. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and relaxing

We stayed 5 days and had a really good time. The barn was super, with a great view of the fields. We had everything we needed, including a very thorough folder of information. Rob was very helpful. He quickly sorted out our TV problem although we were still only able to access BBC because of poor connectivity. He had also provided itineraries for different walks which we found really useful. We did 3 of them. We would definitely stay there again.

We have just spent a lovely 5 days at Barrow Hill Barns. The setting is perfect with fabulous views over the Hampshire countryside. A very peaceful place . The accommodation was just right for our party of 4 plus one dog. We were also able to entertain local family members during our stay. There is plenty to do in the local area, including many walks directly from the door. We liked it so much we have booked for next year.
