2nd time in this apartment the first being 8 years ago, I’m glad to say that our stay was as enjoyable as the first, the apartment was very clean & cosy with everything you need for a perfect break away. The welcome pack was very much appreciated.
The only negative is that I think the frontage needs a little care & attention which just lets the beautiful apartment down, but we will be back regardless

It’s our 2nd stay in Drummond Place. It’s an amazing location and great for 3 couples having a bathroom each.
The cleanliness was not up to the standard of last time. Dirt under beds, long black hairs on white bath towels, which was disappointing.
The actual accommodation is great…..

This AirBnB was just perfect and exactly what we were looking for! A cozy, spacious, warm place in a very convenient location, less than 15 min walk from the main high street.

The rooms are very spacious, everything was tidy and ready for us to settle in. The fruit and snacks basket with fresh flowers was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome.

The instructions booklet and information prior to our arrival from the host was very useful and handy. We had no issues with our stay.

Our family had an amazing time in Edinburgh and this AirBnB made it that much better. I highly recommend booking this place.

Perfect location to walk to the city and also the Stockbridge area which has a good choice of restaurants. A short walk to the tram which we used to reach the Royal Yacht which we really enjoyed. Also not far to walk to Holyrood and the Royal Mile.
The apartment is lovely and well equipped. Beautiful kitchen/diner, well fitted with high quality furnishings and appliances. Just a few 'basics' would be useful including some microwave cooking dishes, a hand towel and more than one tea towel, oven gloves, a cloth for wiping surfaces and kitchen roll!
Comfortable lounge and lovely crisp white bed linen.
The apartment was very clean apart from a 'musty' smell in the shower room near the front door. Also the bathroom bins had not been emptied.
Attention should be drawn to the steep steps down to the front door.
Disposal of rubbish/recycling is a pain when rushing to catch a train on departure. We walked for five minutes to a wheelie bin which only took glass and no other recyclables. Feel this should be included in the cleaning cost for a high price property.

our second time of renting this apartment
its a short walk from where the airport bus arrives and the trams in st Andrews? square also hand for Waverly station and the bus station, check out at 10.00 am is a tad early but you can leave bags at the bus station securly and cheaply

We visited Edinburgh for 3 days in June as a family of 5 plus grandmother. Katie's place was great and had plenty of room. It was in a nice and quiet part of New Town away from the crowds of Old Town, but still convenient by either walking or using the bus. The bus stops were very close and we used them a lot. Close to cute restaurants and shops with a fun neighborhood pub on the end of the block. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, well furnished and well equipped kitchen(just need to provide a few more kitchen cloth or some kitchen rolls).Good to have 3 bathrooms for a group stay.About 1 km walk from Princess street..easy walk to tourist sites and many good restaurants in the old town.Will stay again coming back to Edinburgh.

We visited Edinburgh with friends. The accommodation was perfect for friends or a family. So close to all the attractions and yet very quiet. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and of course shortbread awaited us.

When we decided to spend new years in Edinburgh we stumbled across this lovely apartment! The location was perfect for both sightseeing and a night out in town. The hosts were helpful and friendly and helped ensure an amazing trip. The apartment was clean and the size was greater than our expectations. We would love to visit this apartment again if we ever come back to Edinburgh.

Another great stay at Drummond Place. Perfect base for travelling with friends. Apartment just needs some minor attention to get back to its normal very high standards. Lots of extra bedding in wardrobes including v large airbed meant lost hanging space. Curtains in front basement bedroom need to be properly reattached to rail.

Lovely and comfortable, clean and tidy. The apartment was well equipped and a really good size. Easy to around Edinburgh on foot from the apartment! The only thing to note is that parking is expensive week days, so factor that in, but it’s understandable considering how central it is.

We’d love to come back one day.

The apartment was a great find. Plenty of room for our group. The kitchen was a great place to hangout before and after a meal. Very clean and orderly place. The location was great. Not far from grocery and trams.

Lovely spacious basement apartment over two floors. Family of six (three couples) stayed for a long weekend attending a family wedding in central Edinburgh. The location was perfect for our needs, close to all amenities & plenty parking spaces nearby. Lots of space to relax whether in the large kitchen diner or separate sitting room. As there were three shower rooms (one en-suite with added bath) each couple could have their own space to get ready. The kitchen diner was particularly great for us to gather with other visiting family members before we headed to the wedding venue.
Communications beforehand with information on entry to property were very helpful and a welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. Would thoroughly recommend this apartment to family and friends.

We loved staying in this comfortable stylish apartment & would definitely return. Plenty of space for two old school friends (Mums) and four teenagers. We recommend the Edinburgh Botanic Garden which is a 20 minute walk away along the Water of Leith river walk and has an excellent cafe. Also conveniently situated for Princes Street, the Royal Mile etc.

We were very happy with the accommodation, which had a lot of extras but was missing some of the more basic items - oven gloves, bath plug, tea towels. A plug was dropped off in time for baths on the second night. The children enjoyed playing hide-and-seek in all the nooks and crannies.

We were a group of 6 french people. The apartment is wonderful, the kitchen especially, comfortable with 3 rooms and independant bathrooms, with all the amenities that you need for your stay. The kitchen in particulary is all furnished and well designed. Location is 10/15 minutes walk from city center. We had a really great stay there and we all recommand this property with no hesitation. Hope to go back there with pleasure.

This was our second stay in this beautiful apartment this time with good friends. The apartment is in a great location in the new town. Huge well equipped kitchen. Great for socialising.
Beds comfy. Nice bathrooms.
There was one issue with the small bedroom downstairs in the basement. A flash flood a few days before our arrival had flooded the bedroom. Greatbase were prompt to sort this out with an engineer and dehumidifiers etc. This room wasn’t habitable so they moved the bed upstairs to the lounge. There was a musty damp smell due to the flood but overall a great stay.
Will definitely use Greatbase next year.

A wonderful well looked after appartment in a very nice area of edinburgh
We were with the family , and there was more than enough space to sita while by yourself if needed.
Everything yoy need for a home cooked meal was there as well, like cooking at home!
Just Around the corner
There is the pub the Cumberland, very friendly staff a very good value.
We will be back as my son is going to study in edinburgh this september and this appartment is ideal for a small group

Our family of 2 grandparents, 2 daughters and 2 teenage grandsons stayed for a wonderful 4 days in this beautiful home. We all immediately settled in, did our laundry (after a 3 day trek on Hadrian's Wall in England) and just felt at home. The house is beautiful with a complete kitchen and comfortable living spaces. There are grocery stores nearby (be sure to find the butcher shop on Albany...wonderful curry stir fry!) and it is an easy walk to most anywhere in the center of Edinburgh.
We have stayed in many Airbnb's and this is by far the nicest.

What a lovely apartment Drummond Place is, much bigger than it looks in the photos, immaculately clean and very well equipped. The kitchen/diner was a wonderful space and ideal for the six of us. The location is also great, just a 15-20 minute walk to the station and there are plenty of restaurants within a short walk. Thanks again to Katie who hosted, the coffee, tea, milk and biscuits were really appreciated. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and we all said we’d love to come back and when we do we’d love to stay at Drummond Place again.

We have rented several different apartments mainly in the New Town/Stockbridge areas. Drummond Place is a great location and the apartment is very spacious and well-appointed. Being 2 couples and 2 grown-up children, we needed either 4 bedrooms or £ bedrooms with one a twin room. Drummond Place has 2 twin rooms which is why it was 'nearly perfect' for us. If one of the twins could be made into a double, that would be great. If all the mattresses could be a little firmer (to suit dodgy old backs!) that would also be great. However the 3 bathrooms is a big plus and downstairs non-ensuite bathroom was fab, and incredibly warm - couldn't find how to turn the radiator down! We also couldn't find how to switch the heating off when we left so we just turned it right down. Also couldn't get the AGA to heat up (so just used the electric oven) and never found any skips or recycling bins so ended up taking the rubbish to a neighbouring street. The kitchen was lovely and very well-equipped. All in all, so very nearly perfect!

Drummond Place is a great place to stay whilst you visit Edinburgh. The location is within walking distance of the main attractions. The apartment is so lovely we almost wanted to stay in and enjoy it rather than visit all that Edinburgh has to offer! Would definitely stay here again.

A well-equipped flat. Two relatively minor defects. The freezing bathroom owing to a non-working towel rail/heater, and the loose tap in the kitchen.

We've stayed in various apartments in Edinburgh over the years. Drummond Place is by far the best. It ticked all the boxes for our family reunion. Comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and the most amazing spacious kitchen. The lounge was comparatively small but to be honest we lived in the kitchen. It was so well equipped with high tech gadgets and having used the washing machine and tumble dryer I want to change my own brand to Siemens now! I think you can tell that I loved the apartment and would highly recommend it.

A lovely two storey basement flat, extremely spacious for three couples and incredibly well fitted with everything you could possibly need. It was a perfect base for the Fringe, an easy walk to the main venues and yet offering a calm and quiet oasis for us to return to. Highly recommended.

Great facilities, spacious rooms and good location. Katie was helpful during booking and showed us nearby eateries and shops. Parking was not a problem for us over the weekend but may be if you stayed on a weekday. A car is not essential though as public transport is good and most things are within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return in the future.

The apartment was in great order and decoration, the equipment levels were second to none with every conceivable utensil etc available. We requested a late check in and this was no problem at all. 6 adults stayed at the apartment and there was plenty of room, seating table space etc. Beds were comfortable and cleanliness was excellent. We would certainly recommend these apartments and will definitely use again if planning a visit to Edinburgh

Our stay was fantastic. The apartment was beautiful and was beyond what we expected. The kitchen is a great space for larger families and groups. The rooms are nice and quiet. The location is great. Parking is an issue if driving. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Very nice apartment with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, ideal for a good sized family as it sleeps 6 very comfortably. The apartment is in excellent condition, and located 15' walk from the royal mile. I would recommend those traveling to Edinburgh not to rent a car in the airport as parking is extremely expensive in the city, and the combination of short distances in the city and good public transportation make cars redundant. Katie was extremely helpful, being on time to open the apartment, and giving us plenty of tips for our stay. No doubt i would repeat the rental.

We have stayed several times in places for 3/4, but Drummond Place was our first for a social group for the Calcutta cup weekend. Proximity to Cumberland Bar was a wonderful bonus, but this place was very good, clean, comfortable, quiet and pretty well equipped. Decor clean and tasteful throughout, and bathrooms all up to date and in vgc.

There are only a handful of places that need to be on your bucket list to spend New Years Eve,aka Hogmanay in Scotland,and Edinburgh is one of them. Drummond Place was a classic New Town apartment in perfect condition with everything to make a stay comfortable. Only 10 mins walk from the centre of things in Edinburgh it was the perfect location to explore one of the best cities in the world.

We had a truly wonderful weekend at Drummond Place. The flat was more beautiful than we had hoped and really well equipped. The kitchen / diner is the star of the show - what a fantastic room! The bedrooms were comfortable and the wonderful thing was that it was so quiet, even though in the centre of New Town; there was almost no traffic noise to disturb you in the mornings.
The team at Greatbase were helpful and friendly. All in all a fantastic weekend was had by all. Thank you x

Fantastic apartment. Very well equipped and just as it looked in the photos.

Three couples so it would have been good if the twin beds could have been zipped together to make doubles. Everyone was impressed.

Only drawback was the 10.30am exit time although this wasn't enforced.

Would have no hesitation in recommending or returning to the apartment or another from Greatbase.

A fantastic home from home and more apartment. Fresh flowers, fruit and milk in the fridge to welcome us. Everywhere was Spotlessly clean when we arrived. The very well equipped large kitchen had lots of extras and plenty of seating for the family to plan the days sightseeing over breakfast. The beds were extremely comfortable, bathrooms clean and modern with plenty of hot water, the lounge had lovely sofas to relax in at the end of the day. The apartment was within walking distance of Princes Street, Botanical Gardens, Arthur's Seat and the Royal Mile. Very good restaurants and supermarkets close by. We wanted to keep this place as our secret but felt we needed to share its delights,hope it's not fully booked when we want to revisit! We really didn't want to leave at the end of our five day holiday celebrating a family 60th birthday.

We had plane problems and were a day late arriving. Katie met us at 9:30 and had breakfast goodie for us. She made sure we understood how to use the appliances, where to find a food store, places to eat, and how to navigate the city. Loved the house very comfortable. We had a very comfortable and happy week at 17a Drummond Street. Walking distance from the Book Festival and easy access to the centre. The spacious accommodation made it an easy and comfortable place to be. It is extremely well equipped and Greatbase were very helpful. A definite 5 stars.

This was our second stay with Greatbase and we were delighted again. The apartment was newly refurbished and we appreciated the quality of the work done. Beds were extremely comfortable, often rare in a holiday let. The kitchen was very well supplied with cooking utensils, although we ate out, but for a longer stay would be very useful. It was very clean and bright with great bathrooms and plenty of seating in the lounge. A very stylish place and thank you to Jack for showing us round.
