Barberry Brook is the name of the stream this property overlooks and is our latest self catering apartment. Originally built as our most luxurious hotel bedroom it was converted in 2018 and given a sweet little kitchen and comfy sitting area. It is an extremely private apartment with a small, sunny outside space surrounded by tubs and pots of flowers,

Barberry Brook was warm and peaceful. The bath is quite difficult to access but the bed was comfortable and there is a lovely stream running outside. The location is beautiful so can recommend this for a peaceful stay in a lovely part of Devon.

Needs updating and a thorough clean.
Smelt damp and dead flies around also cobwebs.

All facilities excellent but unless one has a car it is impossible as taxis are exhorbitant and not available for short tips to the village .

The Barberry Brook room was really stunning. It's a two story cottage located in the back of the property...as you approach it, it feels like maybe it's not going to be as lovely as the spaces you've walked passed to get to it...but just wait! It's right on a sweet babbling brook, and it's commodious and so so beautiful. The bedroom space is huge, with vaulted ceilings and a soaking bathtub from which you can look out at the brook and the greenery. The living area and kitchen are similarly comfortable and cozy, with everything you need to cook and to relax. We can't wait to return!

We had a wet and windy few days at Barberry Brook. The house is really well equipped and the open beams and having a bath next to the brook are particularly lovely.
Brilliant facilities, location and extra info for exploring. The surrounding area is v interesting and filled our days easily. The dogs enjoyed their stay, especially watching the brook from the balcony.

We found the cottage very comfortable and relaxing to stay in. The bedroom with the brook running by deserves a special mention.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would be pleased to return.

We have loved our stay here with our dog in such a lovely part of the world. Fingals is very dog friendly.
