This was a lovely house for a party of 5 adults, 4 young kids and 1 giant dog. The kids loved the garden and the size of the house that they could explore freely.

The house was really comfortable and enough room for all of us. The log fire was a great feature as the weather definitely called for it. We had never used an aga before, but it was easy enough to use and a source of warmth for the dining room.

The rooms were comfy and i had no problems with the en suite in mine.

We loved the location, which is about 30 minutes walk to the beach and within easy reach of Boscastle and Bude.

The carport can fit 3 cars in, but requires someone confident parking in a tight space, particularly as the house is on a main road and cars often zoom by.

We really enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Penrose Cottage, despite booking during a very rainy week. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and clean. We were a family of 6 (grandparents, parents , the daughter and boyfriend) and a dog and we all had a lovely time, without being on top of each other. We loved the attention to detail given to furnishing this home. The cottage is conveniently located for trips to various Cornwall attractions (Tintagel, Bude, Boscastle, Port Isaac, Launceston Castle) which are in reasonable distance by car. There are lovely walks available from the property too (weather permitting) and a good pub and caffe in Crackington Haven. There are numerous beaches within an easy reach too. We would love to return to this cottage one day and we definitely recommend.

Grass should be cut shorter as we found ticks on kids . Other properties we have stayed in Crackington have kept their grass short. Never worried about ticks before in Dingley Dell, Chough Cottage or Lower Hillcot
Cornish seaview cottages were as always brilliant and kept us informed.

Thank you so much for your review. The grass is cut regularly but is growing rapidly with all this mixed weather, I am sorry if this caused you a problem with ticks. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

Super week away

A lovely home for a group gathering, with 8 adults being accommodated effectively. Pity no BBQ, there was one in the advert. We was lucky as we could not work the central heating, the control item kept saying no signal. That dod not matter as the weather was warn in the day and we had lovely comfy beds and nice bedding to keep us at night. The log burner worked brilliant as did the cookers. The dog loved the garden, and we saw fabulous sunsets. a downhill walk to Crackington Haven with welcoming pub and cafes. Bit of a climb back up, but hey ho a night cap was waiting.

We visited a lot of areas, strangely recommending a drive to Polzeath, and the Waitrose at Holesworth is great, and Sainsbury's at Bude, nearby.

A great base and hopefully going to return

Thank you very much for your review, I have asked the owner if we can purchase a BBQ, apologies, we would have got one for you during your stay if we had been aware-sorry about that. I have asked about the Heating controller as well, thank you for letting us know. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we very much look forward to hosting you again in the future. Best wishes, Cornish Seaview Cottages

We have just returned from a week at Penrose Cottage. All of us very much enjoyed our stay. Penrose Cottage is comfortable and very stylish. We loved the big kitchen and the garden. Our dogs had a great week. Cornish Sea Views were very helpful with our booking. The WiFi is very good at Penrose Cottage - 2 of our party needed to work whilst down there. Thank you so much for allowing us and our dogs to enjoy your lovely house!

We had 8 adults most of the week (all family) so made full use of the house & garden as well as numerous trips. It is a great house with everything needed except the sitting room seating & generally doesn't accommodate 8. Excellent bedrooms & en-suite/bathroom provision. The garden house wasn't in great condition but we didn't use that.
There are great walks, locations & beaches within a few miles but its a mile fairly steep downhill to the local beach & bar so we used cars a lot.

A lovely cosy home well situated at the top of Cracking haven. The cottage was warm and welcoming when we arrived in the afternoon by the lovely Aga. Very well equipment a great for a large family, with lots of bathrooms and double beds. The location is great if you enjoy walking and I loved the maps and local walks highlighted by previous quests. We had lovely Easter eggs and bunting as well as all your essentials you need to start off your holiday, a nice touch.

The only slight negative, but I'm sure this can be tweaked is the hot water and towel rail hadn't been turned on so it took us a few mornings before we figured that out! Although the programme could do with changing as we were early rises 7am there was never any hot water to wash with apart fro the showers. Also the heating didn't come on until 8am, however the main kitchen dining area was always toasty thanks to the super AGA.

We loved the sun lounge and did our morning yoga there. Would be nice to have had a hook and outside dunking tub for wetsuits? just an idea.

Would definitely stay again as was a super base and had a lovely homely feel.

Thank you so much for your positive review. I have forwarded it on to the owner who will be happy to have the feed back. Just by way of a follow up to this review I wanted to advise that this property has since had a very large water tank installed which is linked up to an oil fired boiler; therefore ensuring that there is plenty of hot water at all times for guests staying at this property.
