Craster Reach is a tucked-away terrace cottage in Craster Northumberland, situated in the heart of the intimate fishing village which nestles on the invigorating Northumberland coast. Stepping into the house from the hushed street, a spacious yet cosy, contemporary interior greets you. Its views from the upper floors are panoramic and life-affirming. Craster Reach is the perfect coastal retreat for up to six family members or friends to share good times and exhilarating adventures in one of the most breathtaking parts of the country.

Lovely holiday home in great location with a good view of the harbour and village from the higher floors. Rooms were furnished to a nice modern standard. Only potential
Issue is that there is no phone reception, but the house’s WIFI made up for this and coped easily with three teenagers and their devices!

Had an exceptional 4 day stay in Craster Reach. Cottage was absolutely perfect. Everything you could possibly need was provided. I loved the fact you had the morning sun at the front of the house and evening sun at the table at the back. The utility was perfect for the dog overnight and even a hose pipe to wash him down. Views were outstanding and pup within a stones throw!
Thank you Catch the Breeze for a wonderful few days.

Craster Reach is uniquely positioned to enjoy stunning views of Dunstanburgh Castle and, in the opposite direction, the coastline towards Longhouton Beach. The house was perfectly comfortable for five adults (the beds were top-notch!) and we enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine on the pretty terrace. The kitchen was really well stocked for self-catering although we enjoyed a couple of good meals at The Jolly Fisherman.
We had a wonderful week exploring all the beautiful places in Northumberland but were always happy to return to our cosy home in pretty Craster.

We often visit the NE especially Craster. Catch the Breeze are reliably of very good quality and Tara gives us the personal touch.
Local walks are varied and plentiful when you look for them.
We recommend the Jolly Fisherman in the village for the food or a drink. Good atmosphere
The Italian in Alnwick is excellent (di Sopra).
The weather was largely good

The house was very well appointed which suited our family who are into cooking. Beds were comfortable and the house was warm. Great location as it was quiet but still close to shop and restaurant and walking paths. Communicating with the hosts was easy and they were responsive to our needs.

This cottage benefits from its central Craster location. Bedroom views of the Castle and harbour, walking distance of excellent dog friendly food serving pub with sea views. The smokery nearby also sells essentials like bread, milk etc, parking for 2 large vehicles. Central in a stretch of outstanding coastline preserved by the National Trust.
The open plan living space downstairs with wood burning stove (wood etc included), entertainment system which is easy to navigate, well stocked kitchen with dishwasher etc. makes it easy to entertain family and friends at the cottage.
The beds are soooo comfy, with quality linens and large fluffy towels make it just that more Luxe cottage experience. The showers have great water pressure, with endless hot water - just the thing when you’ve been caught out by the weather!
The thoughtful welcome package for both humans and dog - take the pressure off if you’ve forgotten an essential, and give you the opportunity to taste local produce.
The cleanliness of the place is to be commended. Rarely have I visited a place as clean! A secure backyard gives pet owners peace of mind, and opportunity to share the outside space with their dog. Also a hose to wash your dog and boots off! All very well thought out.

Craster Reach is a lovely place to stay with all the things you need to explore the wonderful Northumberland. The close by pub was great for food and drink and we found a few new local gems like Embers for pizza. The accommodation ticked all the boxes for us and we would welcome a return.

Everything you might need is here. A warm and cosy cottage even in midwinter. Just a stroll to the friendly local pub and loads of great walks from the doorstep. Our dog loved her surprise goody bag, less so the handy hosepipe outside for sorting out muddy post walk paws!
We’ll be back!

The property was very well presented and contained everything you need as a home from home. Apart from thermostatic radiator valves there was no control of the heating system which was preset and controlled remotely. We found the attic bedroom too cool for us at times. The agents though were very helpful when we called them regarding this.

We would definitely recommend this property and would definitely rent again.

We had a lovely stay at Craster Reach. The house is clean and comfortable. The views were amazing all around the house of the sea and castle at the back. The only issue we had is that the garden doesn’t have a gate, it’s not enclosed, so the dogs briefly ran off! we had to try and block the path off with the bins which didn’t work very well. I also wouldn’t suggest putting your washing outside. The washing smelt terribly of smoky kippers!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Craster Reach. The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable. The views from the bedroom windows are splendid. It was so relaxing waking up to the sound of the sea. The Jolly Fisherman pub with its fish and chip van is just a few steps away but we did notice quite a increase in prices since our last visit two years ago. There is no general store in Craster so the welcome pack was much appreciated. We will definitely consider booking Craster Reach again.

This was our first visit to Craster and we were totally enamoured with the village itself, the coastal walks, the wild seascapes and nearby Dunstanburgh Castle. Although it’s a fairly long drive from our home in Shropshire, we’re certainly planning to return at some point very soon. It’s one of the best places we’ve ever visited!
Craster Reach is a lovely house and a true home-from-home. Extremely stylish, beautifully furnished, very well equipped and perfectly located.
There were locally-produced provisions waiting in the kitchen when we arrived - butter, milk, bread, eggs, jam etc - and a stack of firewood in the log store too. Very generous of the owners!
The weather wasn’t quite what we were hoping for in late July - mostly wet and windy - but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment for one minute. We played golf, swam in the sea, hiked the coastal path, went to the cinema in Cramlington and spent lots of time in the Jolly Fisherman!
We’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world, but this was definitely one of our best ever holidays! Highly recommended!!

We had the perfect stay, the property was exceptionally well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the bedroom windows were breathtaking and we enjoyed watching the sunsets each night. The early morning were so tranquil and the front garden/terrace was perfect for a morning cuppa and catching the early sunshine. The washer/dryer was also a godsend after a long day at the beach. We’re already planning when we can next return!

Lovely house in great location for exploring the area, with lovely coastal walks straight from the house, and we also enjoyed Bamburgh, Alnwick and Lindesfarne. Really well thought out layout to maximise the space, with plenty of room for 6 adults. Showers were really powerful, and beds were really comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, and the welcome pack was a lovely additional touch. The weather wasn’t the kindest so we enjoyed using the fire too. Would recommend the Jolly Fisherman for dinner, or just a drink after a walk - friendly staff and lovely food, although would suggest you book if wanting to eat at peak times.

The house is like the “tardis”, it seems much more spacious on the inside, than it appears on the outside. They have got the essentials done very well. Great comfy beds and sofas, the bathrooms have great water pressure and plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and a decent size fridge freezer. The entertainment system is good for those cosy nights in. The wood burning stove is a breeze to light and the well stocked wood store is a nice touch. The location although not “ringside” to the harbour does have amazing views of it, and Dunstanburgh Castle from the bedrooms. This location does mean however that you haven’t got people trudging past every two minutes as you would have if you were “ringside” to the harbour. Off road parking is a good thing in Craster too. There are plenty of circular walks straight from the property as well as the surrounding area. The local pub in very easy walking distance is very nice ! We enjoyed Sunday lunch there, and we were fortunate to think to book as it was very popular. Alnwick gardens, Howick Gardens, Walkworth Castle (dogs allowed), Amble Sunday harbour market (good pet shop in the pods), Low Newton Bay and pub as well as all the beaches are worth a visit year round.

We had a great week at Craster Reach. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, had good heating, a wood burner and plentiful hot water which was an essential with what the elements had on offer for us! The views of Dunstanburgh Castle from all the bedrooms is a bonus. Ideally situated for top walks directly from the property, the Jolly Fisherman, Shoreline Cafe and fish shop in the village did not disappoint and were all a delight. I would definitely come again.

We had a fabulous time at Craster Reach. The cottage itself if very well maintained. Loved the cosy fire, very generous and appreciated that all logs & fuel was provided free of charge. The welcome hamper including treats for both us and our dog was great. Loved that the dog treats were healthy Lilys Kitchen and not cheap supermarket stuff! Thank you for putting up Christmas decorations and a tree. In the 5 years of so we have taken a pre Christmas break you are the first cottage to have done that - thank you! Great location. It was very icy during our stay so we left the car on the drive and walked from the cottage every day. The Jolly Fisherman literally 30 seconds walk away is a lovely pub, one of the best traditional gastro pubs we've visited. It's worth staying in Craster just for this pub! Also, the shoreline cafe is a great little place. Very friendly staff and another asset to this little costal fishing village. Thank you guys, we hope to be back one day.

Excellent accommodation with everything we needed. Could have done with a towel rail in the upstairs bathroom but apart from that, everything was great.
The local hostelry however should be removed from your client recommendations as the owner was arrogant and the food highly overpriced.
Lots of other fine places to eat though in the local area.

A beautiful property in an excellent location. Very well equipped and very comfortable for 5 adults. One minor thing was the position of the cooker hood over the stove - it stuck out a bit and we all, at some point, hit our heads. But that didn't get in the way of our enjoyment of the property and holiday in general!
