We stayed in the reading rooms for 1 week with our young children and when you arrive you are greeted by a clean house filled with a thoughtful welcome hamper and all the things required for a relaxing stay. The house was totally spotless and fantastically furnished - we truly felt at home as soon as we walked in! There was an issue with the local water and Ben the house manager informed us straight away and provided bottles of water throughout the stay. The location is very remote but this is what we wanted. However there is so much to explore all within a 30 minute drive so it’s real...more
The Old Watermill is a stunning property set in a beautiful location just a walk away from the Northumberland coast. The house is finished to a very high standard and provides an ideal family base for exploring the wonderful local beaches and countryside or just to relax and watch the widelife.
We had a wonderful stay at Oughtershaw. Everything is superb. And as if it couldn’t get better….then there was gorgeous Ben who couldn’t be more helpful
Tan Llan was a brilliant place to stay for the weekend. It's rustic with old beams and stone walls but with really nice modern bathrooms and kitchen, so an enormously comfortable place to stay. Great grounds with big fields and a river, and a perfect spot to explore Snowdonia and the coast from.
We recently had the most incredible stay at Middlerigg, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are looking for the perfect location in Northumberland, this is it. The house boasts a beautiful patio at the front where you can sit with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, taking in the stunning views of the sea, the harbour, and the walkers heading up to Dunstanburgh Castle. Parking is famously tricky in Craster, so the fact that the house comes with two parking spaces large enough for two large cars is a massive bonus! Inside, the house is absolutely perfect and immaculately clean. It ...more
We spent 2 really special weeks in "Harbour Way" and simply didn't want to leave. Everything is beautiful, comfortable and perfect for a family of 3 generations. You lack for nothing. There is plenty of space for individuals to have quiet times, but also super room for great family meals and togetherness. Clare was absolutely amazing in supporting us throughout the holiday, but especially when I arrived with my disabled husband.. A thing worth noting for anyone with disability problems is that there are a couple of slightly uneven, but beautiful, steps into the garden and then a fairly steep...more
Wonderful accommodation and as always we loved our stay. We consider Driftwood as our home away from home.
Fantastic stay in a wonderful property. Very professional staff who assisted with reservation and needs during the stay. Lovely setting with flocks of geese flying over each night - such a treat! Property is furnished to a high spec with good bedding and soft towels etc. Kitchen, lounge and dining space simply perfect.
We love our annual week at Rock Lobster with the family. The house works perfectly and the location and sea views are wonderful. An excellent base for traditional British seaside fun. Lovely coastal walks to beaches, cafes and pubs. House and garden so good for all the family and can kayak from the shore. Very friendly staff and service and we’ll be back. Thank you.
Craster Reach is a comfortable, well equipped property in a very good location. The 418 bus stop, the pub and Robson's are just a stones throw away. Robson's sell milk and eggs, as well as the world's finest kippers, of course. It was spotlessly clean, has comfy beds and lovely soft fluffy towels. There are three big bedrooms, with a great view of Dunstanburgh Castle from the attic The team at Catch the Breeze are great, very responsive and extremely helpful should you need them.
