After experiencing Oughtershaw Hall with the whole family on several occasions we were really looking forward to a relaxing week with friends in the Reading rooms. We were not disappointed! A very different experience in a beautifully appointed cottage with the constant sound of the river in the background. Loved it. Every small detail seemed to have been covered - even downtown the auto night lights in the bathrooms. Nice too to have two sitting areas to enjoy a quiet moment or two. We will definitely return.
The Old Watermill is a stunning property set in a beautiful location just a walk away from the Northumberland coast. The house is finished to a very high standard and provides an ideal family base for exploring the wonderful local beaches and countryside or just to relax and watch the widelife.
The indoor pool and sauna are a bonus enjoyed by all. Red squirrels sighted daily in the extensive garden . This is our second family holiday in this palatial house.
Tan Llan was a brilliant place to stay for the weekend. It's rustic with old beams and stone walls but with really nice modern bathrooms and kitchen, so an enormously comfortable place to stay. Great grounds with big fields and a river, and a perfect spot to explore Snowdonia and the coast from.
We were looking for a location where we could see and hear the sea, where we could ditch the car and walk for miles, with a decent pub nearby and a cosy, comfy space to retreat to. Harbourway delivered and some! The house is beautifully appointed, well stocked with everything you need to make it a 'home from home', beds are super comfortable and we cannot think of one thing we needed or would change. The team at Catch the Breeze were amazing to deal with; the welcome treats (for humans and dogs) were a nice touch and we look forward to staying again very soon.
Great accommodation for five of us. Excellent views of harbour and coastline, and a proper castle on the skyline. Marvellous walking. Very good restaurant round the corner.
Driftwood was the perfect base for exploring the Northumberland coast with our dog. Even in August we were away from any crowds and had easy access to great walks and fabulous pub food. The cottage, its furnishing and equipment are all high quality - probably the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. Could have spent hours just on the window seat! We are already looking at coming back.
Fantastic stay in a wonderful property. Very professional staff who assisted with reservation and needs during the stay. Lovely setting with flocks of geese flying over each night - such a treat! Property is furnished to a high spec with good bedding and soft towels etc. Kitchen, lounge and dining space simply perfect.
It’s the unique position of this property that makes it so special. Just the place to see stunning sunrises.
Craster Reach is a comfortable, well equipped property in a very good location. The 418 bus stop, the pub and Robson's are just a stones throw away. Robson's sell milk and eggs, as well as the world's finest kippers, of course. It was spotlessly clean, has comfy beds and lovely soft fluffy towels. There are three big bedrooms, with a great view of Dunstanburgh Castle from the attic The team at Catch the Breeze are great, very responsive and extremely helpful should you need them.
