We had the most wonderful stay at The Reading Rooms in the Yorkshire Dales. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention has gone into the place – it’s absolutely immaculate, with an outstanding finish throughout. Everything you could possibly need is provided, making it feel like a true home from home, just with much better views! The location is beautifully remote, perfect for switching off and unwinding, with serene countryside all around. Waking up to the sight of sheep and lambs grazing nearby was such a lovely touch and really added to the whole experience. ...more
This is the third time our family have stayed at the old water mill. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished and is in an amazing location, a short walk across the field to the beach, but the wild life comes right up to the door, we saw hares, deer, herons , egrets, a barn owl and a family of mallards with eight ducklings. The weather last week threw everything at us but every day we had plenty to do with the beaches and the rich northumberland heritage, then back to relaxing in comfort at the mill. A special shout out also to Clare, who made us feel so welcome and for whom nothing is ...more
We had a wonderful stay at Oughtershaw. Everything is superb. And as if it couldn’t get better….then there was gorgeous Ben who couldn’t be more helpful
Mill Farmhouse was an excellent home for our family gathering. Chose it for all the bedrooms having en-suites and big open living area which didn’t disappoint. All staff at Catch The Breeze were very attentive and provided excellent service. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
Tan Llan was a brilliant place to stay for the weekend. It's rustic with old beams and stone walls but with really nice modern bathrooms and kitchen, so an enormously comfortable place to stay. Great grounds with big fields and a river, and a perfect spot to explore Snowdonia and the coast from.
We have stayed in 5 places in Craster over the years and Middlerigg is by far and away the best by a long chalk. Brilliantly equipped with quality furnishings and equipment, perfectly located with great harbour and coastline views and 44 steps to the Jolly Fisherman for a relaxing pint watching the sea in the evening. I would highly recommend but don’t want other people to know about it in case we can’t book our preferred return dates!!! (We have already booked actually)!
We had a fantastic family stay at Harbourway (a return trip for some of us). The location is great, beautiful walks right on your doorstep. Lovely sea views from the living areas and garden. The house itself was very clean and well appointed, everything you could possibly need was there. Rooms very comfortable. We will definitely be back!
A little piece of Paradise, a little place of calm. A welcome that is oh so nice, a fire to keep me warm. A window seat to contemplate the ever changing sea. A place to sleep, a place to rest, A place where I am me.
Perfect location for a family holiday. Wonderful sea views, rock pooling and exploring the coastal path. Well equipped with lots of space for everyone without feeling crowded. Would love to return!
We had a very comfortable stay at Craster Reach. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Really special to wake up with views of the sea and the castle. The pub is a stone’s throw and you’re on the coastal path for some spectacular walks.
