We found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and beautifully presented on arrival. It is spacious and pretty much everything you could need for a week away was provided. There was a welcome hamper of a cream tea - delicious! Small, but I hope constructive, comments more coat hangers would have been very useful. Also, it is personal preference I know, whilst the bed was lovely and large it was very firm, too firm for us and not particularly comfortable. Lovely comfortable barn, beautiful surroundings, very clean. We absolutely loved our stay, we’ve booked it again for next year.
We stayed at Wooladon House for a weekend with friends. The house is amazing with very comfortable bedrooms upstairs and a lot of space to sit and relax downstairs - I'm not sure we used all the rooms but it would be perfect if the weather was bad. The garden is peaceful with lots of seating. The estate is great for rambling in the countryside and we spotted some kingfishers on the river. A highly recommended stay.
A great week in this lovely barn. Very comfortable, excellent staff and a good central location. We shall definitely be rebooking.
From walking into the cottage for the first time, I was impressed with the cottage. The whole place has a nice blend of modern and rustic feel and was very clean with has great facilities. The welcome basket was a lovely touch.
We had a lovely stay here and I would return. But please can Wooladon staff take more care when driving and drive more slowly and carefully around the estate when holiday makers are present. We had a frightening incident with a driver running into me and my dog when we were walking as the driver reversed at speed round a corner. The literature says it is fine to walk your dog everywhere so staff need to take this very seriously. My dog would have been badly injured or worse had I not pulled him to the side of the road and the van still knocked us over. Best wishes Lucy
