The town house, Ace Cottage, made a pleasant stay in Lymington. It is close to the Harbour and High Street.
I hadn't appreciated before booking that is was located on a busy road. You had to be lucky to find a car parking space to unload and could only stay there an hour. There was parking at the local carpark for 1 car. We were 2 cars as we came from different areas. I parked on a recommended road and had the wing mirror damaged as it was also another busy road.
The house was clean and tidy apart from the downstairs loo which was pretty horrid!
Everything worked. The top floor bathroom window was difficult to open and close.
Lots of plastic ornaments. Ok if your thing.
Lovely kitchen and well stocked.
Lovely outside garden.
If we ever stayed again I would go by train.

We enjoyed our stay in this well equipped modernised terraced house with three double bedrooms very close to the centre of Lymington. New Forest Escapes staff were very polite and welcoming and I would recommend them. Liked the modern kitchen layout with everything we needed as well as the living area and bedrooms. All beds were very comfortable. Appreciated all the tower fans in the heat! Cosy courtyard with nice garden furniture. Great to have a washing machine and tumble dryer. Very clean and no dog smell. Minor quibbles; pots and pans need replacing (worn teflon) and the access is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties. The living room rug needs replacing but then we didn't need to worry about making a mark! Overall we had a very pleasant stay. We really enjoyed our first visit to Lymington. As it was hot we visited the beaches (Milton on sea, Mudeford and Highcliffe. My kids loved the waves!) Went to Barton on sea for the eclipse. Also visited Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard and my older daughter and sister really enjoyed the horse riding at Coombe Stables (though expensive). We also got the ferry to the Isle of Wight and visited the Needles.

Great location, property and facilities. Lovely walks in the forest and good local restaurants. Will be visiting again
