The Bend is a beautifully designed house with all the comforts of home and 5* accommodation blended in. Our group of 11 covers ages from 2 to 70, including a couple of teenagers, and everyone’s expectations were exceeded. There is plenty of room to commune or take some space. We would definitely return and recommend the house and location wholeheartedly.
Milford Cottage is a beautiful property, just as described on the New Forest Escapes website and our stay there from the moment we put the key in the door was excellent. It's a very comfortable house throughout, with linen and towels provided for all 8 guests and lots of space indoors and a lovely sunny back garden to chill out in (with a BBQ). Extra items provided included a great selection of books to read, fresh flowers and a chilled bottle of fizz to welcome us on arrival which was so thoughtful for our Jubilee celebration stay. Our group said it was a perfect location for exploring the...more
Avocet was so well equipped and very comfortable. Location was great. Very quiet. Would recommend to friends.
Beautiful home: cosy, modern, beautifully decorated and very spacious. We were 6 people and had plenty of space for everyone. It’s really nice that we can bring our dogs too!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Little Patch. The location is great if you're looking to escape city life and immerse yourself in nature. We had a bird song choir from the moment we woke until dark and that was it for noise, apart from the odd horse or cow expressing themselves. Little Patch is also very private, a wonderful outdoor space with a great dining table and outdoor sofa. The lounge is very relaxing, with either a reading nook in the window, a very comfortable large sofa and a fire and a TV. The TV was a bit annoying, something wasn't working correctly, but we didn't come here ...more
The house was perfect for our family celebration, however the splash pool and jacuzzi need attention and were rather ‘tired’. Otherwise the outdoor space was excellent and the house was well stocked with good quality appliances.
This is the third time we have booked with New Forest Escapes and it has consistently been an extremely positive, professional and friendly service. We have run holiday lets in the past and know the pitfalls and NFE run an excellent service that is both responsive and thoughtful ensuring the customer experience is top notch. Nye Creek is a fantastic property in a wonderful setting and provided just the thing for a pleasant and relaxing break.
We had a really enjoyable stay in this lovely apartment. It had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday, well equipped, quiet and a great space to bring our little dog (he loved it too!). The perfect location to explore both the coast and the forest.
Lovely house in a central location, close to the High Street and harbour. The property was well equipped, furnished to high standards with a bright & airy feel, the bed was really comfortable with quality linen, and handy to have 2 bathrooms. Also a secure enclosed garden for the dog to patrol! An ideal base for exploring Lymington and the surrounding area. The parking clocks provided were great to have too, both in town and when visiting other places in the New Forest. We would definitely return, and recommend Nutshell Cottage and New Forest Escapes wholeheartedly.
What a super place to get the family together for a holiday & we were so lucky with gorgeous weather! The house was well located for lots of day trips and a great place to come back to after a long day out, well appointed with everything we needed & more, the little ones loved the music room! The peacocks make quite a racket so be prepared for morning coffee on the balcony, slightly earlier than planned!!!
Really good accommodation and facilities (although could do with another set of cutlery and a few more wine glasses!). Valley View lived up to its name - view was glorious at all times of the day - wild horses and deer across the valley. If you want quiet then come here - no traffic, no aeroplanes, just birdsong and the breeze.
The property is exactly as described by New Forest Escapes. Spacious, very comfortable and with everything that you need - if not the most modern in places, it has a homely and relaxing feel. The location is absolutely stunning and the property is perfectly positioned to take in the panoramic views of the sea. The area offers so much – numerous cafés, pubs and restaurants, walks on the seafront and in the New Forest, endless water sports, nature trails and lovely shops in Milford on Sea and nearby Lymington. We did not have time to see and do everything and will be back!
This was our third year in a row at Gins Barn. What more is there to say? The location is fabulous, the accommodations spacious and comfortable, and the hosts extremely generous. Looking forward to returning again.
We had a wonderful stay at Ploughmans Cottage. The house was very clean, and well set out for children and adults alike. We had 3 young kids with us, and there was so much for them to explore in the garden plus toys and the contents of the dressing up box, we could have just stayed in the house for the week and they would have been happy! The house and location looked even better than the pictures, the pub next door was really convenient and even offered to do us takeaway dinners when they had capacity, and the owners (who we met briefly when we arrived) were great and extremely helpful. Saltwater cottage is a home away from home. It’s comfortable, beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you need! It’s perfect for walking/ cycling along the coastal path and has some fantastic independent shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep too. A sort drive to The Forest itself with walks available for everyone. Saw wild ponies and woodpeckers. A walk along the Spit to Hurst castle with the ferry back was exhilarating and nicely tiring. Back for a hot bath and fish and chips. Happy days!
We had a lovely holiday at Beau Soleil. The cottage is much more spacious than we expected, it is very well equipped and the simple touches like the plastic sandwich boxes for taking on picnics made our holiday. The location is great, we enjoyed the cliff path walks into the village and coffees in the cafes. We walked to the ferry for Hurst Castle and went crabbing on the river by the spit. We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and New Forest Escapes who provided a huge amount of information and recommendations. We will have to return.
No 24 is a great base for the new forest & IoW. Beautifully maintained and set out, very comfortable and well .
Lovely cottage in the heart of the New Forest. Great location, close to train station. Several pubs within walking distance. Brockwell is very comfortable - good beds. Well equipped kitchen. Only complaint would be that it was hot upstairs even with windows open. Possibly because of Aga. Would recommend.
We are a party of 12 (5 children and 8 adults) celebrating two very significant birthdays. The photographs do not do the house justice! Such a quirky, but modern house with all the mod cons (Nespresso coffee machine) and heavenly comfortable beds. The older children loved the outdoor space and garden swing, and the younger crowd thoroughly enjoyed the abundance of toys and books available. We had been blessed with the lovely weather over the weekend stay, so we made the most of the roof terrace and outdoor garden space. Lymington town is a short drive away, as is a small village which has ...more
On the plus side: Very clean and reasonably comfortable (if you can sleep on Tempur mattresses and expect comfortable sofa/chairs). We were never cold and had some very cold external temperatures during our stay. Social kitchen. Great lighting - with the exception of the bedside lights which kept collapsing. Lovely downstairs bathroom with good shower. Quiet road and in a good position to explore by car. All the 'extras' were great. Washing tablets, dishwasher tablets, cling film, foil, spare toilet rolls, food storage bags, basic oil, salt pepper, sweet spices, tea, coffee - all of ...more
Very nice location. Good with parking. Very clean. No essentials missing. Very much as advertised or better.
Few issues before and on arrival but the house owner was there to confirm everything fixed and in working order, the owner also went out of his way to replace a faulty tele for which my lad was over the moon with for the play room! Property in itself is lovely and very spacious, pool and gym were a massive hit as well as the Sonos sound system. My only negative for the house was the main bedroom does not have curtains for the top windows, so if you like sleeping in a daylight room then you will be ok but a bit frustrating when it gets like at 3:30/4am. Other than that a lovely stay a...more
We had a lovely weekend and the house was lovely and suited all our needs and was well equipped for young children. Our only issues was that the fridge was far too small for a large family and the freezer was almost unused. It would have been better to put in 2 fridges, one with an ice box.
The best thing was the location and space. Our stay here was average. For the cost, it should have been spotless. This cottage for the week was expensive and should have been cleaned better. Unfortunately I had to clean the grill when I arrived. There was a dirty tissue under the bed on the floor, there was a lot of dust under the beds and there was a mark on the bed sheets. Also, the double bed was uncomfortable. I couldn't get in for an hour when I arrived because I hadn't been given the key code although customer services was helpful when I finally got through.
The house is great for kids with plenty of inside and garden toys to play with. The dressing up box was particularly popular as too was the small gypsy caravan in the safe and enclosed good-sized garden. Friendly pub with good food next door. There were no towels provided in the main bedroom on our arrival Friday afternoon. After texting the host the earliest she said she could provide towels was the Monday, so we purchased our own. This in isolation wasn't a big deal but during the week there was a couple of incidents that left me feeling unsettled involving both wife and husband ca...more
We were three generations having a family weekend away. House very clean and light-filled and v nicely decorated in seaside-y colours. It was well equipped with good quantity of crockery/cutlery and thoughtfully provided unbreakable childrens' stuff too. Also some toys and childrens' books too. I wasn't expecting an AGA (probably didn't read the details closely enough) but it was fine and made the kitchen very warm - might be a problem in a hot summer. There is also a two-ring induction hob which we didn't use. No grill, other than in microwave. The outside space is pleasant, though if yo...more
White Gates is a wonderful cottage with tons of charm. Very comfortable -- excellent beds, shower, kitchen etc. -- and a beautiful yard with lots of space for kids to run around. Very easy check-in and out. The location is lovely, although the walk to the beach is a bit farther than described, perhaps because some of the public footpaths seem to have been blocked off with barbed wire (unclear why). Still very doable, but more like 45 mins walking at a decent pace. Overall had a wonderful stay!
Second time staying at this property because it is in a brilliant location and the kitchen is really well appointed but, sadly, I doubt we will be returning again. 1) The feedback we gave last year clearly has not been taken on board. 2) I'm on holiday and COVID restrictions have been lifted. I don't want to have to worry about emptying bins and stripping beds on my last day. That's what you pay a cleaning company for! 3) On arrival - I had to phone the management company - whose number I pretty much had to guess because no one had refreshed the chalk on the information board - to let the...more
Beckheath is a very special home - a hidden gem! (So much so we wished it was ours!) It’s cozy and has everything you need. The location is perfect for walks right on your doorstep. The welcome pack of wine, fresh bread, butter, tea, ground coffee and milk was a lovely touch. Communication throughout was great particularly as it was during the Christmas period. We’ll definitely be booking again!
The garden is wonderful and the owner is lovely and very helpful But the property is in need of a make over — the kitchen floor is a mess , externally it needs painting , fixtures and fittings need updating .
Location - although set back, it is on an extremely busy road. So lots of traffic noise No rear garden. Front garden, whilst secure and in good condition isnt a pleasant experience sitting outside with the noise of the traffic Lounge, kitchen and downstairs toilet all fine. Attention to detail on cleaning was not great. I have taken photos of the evidence Upstairs main bathroom - broken toilet seat. Photo evidence available Both bathrooms - skirting boards and toilet brushes not dusted for some time - photo evidence available Bedroom next to main bathroom - mattress badly stained wit...more
This is a lovely place to stay. The location is excellent, extremely close access to local amenities. But you still have the privacy and serenity of a quiet garden. Lots of nature and peace. The only few things to note is the bathroom is very tight access and the garden furniture really needs cleaning/updating.
I think this house would probably be ok for a family with children. It was extremely expensive £2800 for one week and why we had to pay £40 for each dog I have no idea. I think this a house that is lived in by the owners and only let out because of extortionate price, every cupboard was closed with cabletyes. Although the kitchen was well equipped the rest of the house lets it down. We wanted 2 bathrooms. These did not live up to expectations. One was really a cupboard with a shower and toilet extremely small, and the second was not much better. The photographs of the lounge made it look much...more
We had a fantastic stay in Two Sides Cottage. The description and details were honest and accurate and so there were no unwelcome surprises. It really was a comfortable and homely feeling house and with a great garden for the dogs too.
Brochure description is accurate about this property. This is a family home rather than the normal rental - We had four generations & it fitted us all in perfectly. We contacted the company about something minor & the Owner contacted us immediately & it was sorted without any fuss. Couple of points, like any family home things need to be upgraded from time to time & I feel the kitchen crockery needs a look at- it was difficult to find a plate without a chip or crack in it- Windows -quite a few have blown & would benefit from being sorted. Overall we had a lovely stay in a lovely part of...more
