Me and my partner stayed for the weekend and we just think it was absolutely brilliant. The value for money was amazing. We couldn’t ask for a better location, just walking the the end of the road turn left and you’re on the beech. The size was great for the two of us with everything that we needed. The owner of the property was beyond fabulous, we had everything we needed during the stay and added a few personalised bits to make it feel home from home. What a beautifully furnished house. It’s very well equipped, and only a step from the High Street. Our host met us at the property and was very courteous and helpful. The courtyard garden is lovely, though the weather meant that we couldn’t use it. We would thoroughly recommend.
We had a lovely stay and loved the nice touches such as milk in the fridge, wine and chocolate on the side.
We had a lovely break at Little Sandpipers and absolutely loved the apartment and the position. Everything was close by and we enjoyed watching the ferry boats going to the Isle of Wight and other activity. We watched the geese and other wildfowl in the next field, and deer in another, as it’s in the Nature Reserve it was all so peaceful. For people more mobile there were wonderful walks right in the doorstep. Highly recommend this holiday let, it’s so comfy and very well equipped.
House was amazing and a wonderful place to stay. Good location for local beach and only 10 mins from Lymington.
Moonwood House has been magnificiently appointed and was perfect for a family Xmas break with the kids loving the swim spa. It is a stunning property that will not fail to impress from the moment you walk through the gates. We had a great Xmas at Moonwood House and would love to go back in the summer!
We found The Nook to be cosy, comfortable and a relaxing place to wind down and just chill for a few days. The garden is a delight, and just the place to unwind after a day out. We enjoyed the central location; just on the edge of the forest with a path just outside the door that leads to the park. Parking was a bit fiddly, but handy, right outside the back gate. Would recommend to anyone for a relaxing break with all the facilities of home plus the garden.
Where do I start! Honestly the most wonderful location we've ever stayed at. We've been lucky enough to enjoy a few homes over the years, but never managed to find "the one" that offers it all; but here we are. Little Patch has it all, from being set in a gorgeous tucked away location, with views over the hills, to a cosy little fireplace in a wonderfully decorated home. We stayed with my 3 year old and 5 year old and they absolutely loved it. I really can't say much more than: thank you for a fantastic stay. It was exactly what we needed to recharge and reconnect with our family.
Family stay at Surrey Lodge to celebrate my 60th birthday, including my 2.5 year old granddaughter. The house is beautiful! Light and spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The owners have thought of everything we could have needed. So comfortable and child friendly. The location is wonderful with beautiful views across the heathland and ponies walking past. Close walking distance to village shops and pubs. I would 100% recommend a stay here!
We were four adults in one car staying for 4 nights & this house was perfect! Plenty of room in a fresh, very clean & comfortable house with all the mod cons. Powerful showers, comfy beds, peaceful location despite being within a minute’s walking distance to the high street shops & restaurants. We had an SUV so avoided the parking spot and used the car park but often found a free bay in the road, so no problem. Tbh you don’t need to use your car! Stayed here for 3 nights with some family members as an extension of my mother’s birthday. The house is fantastic. It’s clean, comfortable, spacious and incredibly user friendly indeed! The location is great for access to the Quay, the high street and the town centre, Brockenhurst (and the Pig restaurant) is only a short drive away. Access to the beautiful new forest is easy and local and is well worth one of the many gorgeous walks. The only small note is parking. It is available at the property but you need a small car. Lovely cottage; really comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful garden. The cottage had everything we needed and was beautifully kept and decorated. It made for a really relaxing stay. The owners contacted us before our stay which was appreciated and were quick to respond when we had an issue.
A lovely spacious 3 bed bungalow with gorgeous views over the needles. This property was clearly a well loved family home before and that makes the place really special for a family holiday.
Quite hard to find as there is no name on the outside. Tiny from outside but so much bigger inside! The space has been extremely well designed. Very comfortable and cosy. Bed is quite small for 2 tall people. Ten minutes from town or beach with excellent walks and restaurants.
Simply a great venue and location for my Wife's 70th Birthday party!! Coped with our large party well of 12 adults + children. Wonderful and will come again.
A fantastic property that was well equipped and provided a great space that was enjoyed by three generations of our family. Plenty of parking for 4/5 cars. The owner was easily accessible and contacted us to make sure everything was in order.
The Bend at Neacroft had all the facilities and space we needed for our multi-generation birthday gathering. Warm, comfortable,, with an extremely well equipped, spacious kitchen (2 dishwashers, ovens and fridges a real bonus for 12 guests) and the long lounge was roomy, sunlight, and allowed the kids to play one end, whilst the adults relaxed at the other. Personally I'd prefer a reduction in the artificial plants and ornaments, but that is how it's presented. House is stunning, very strange to supply 100’s of glasses and luxury things you would never use but not a single baking tray? Cooker you can only operate one oven, hob took a while to figure out and the cooker hood did not work at all - might have been us but no instructions at all and I am no slouch in the kitchen. Also dishwasher issues and had to message the NFE as totally stuck in ‘remote mode’ which again no instructions, NFE left a message which they never followed up just pointed me towards a number and did not deal properly and online Google told you to consult the missing instruc...more
Lovely house with everything we would want. The house is great for kids with lots of toys, appropriate beds and dining stuff. Note that the stairs are steep and a bit slippery wood so you might want a stair gate if have younger kids.
We had the most amazing long weekend with our family celebrating my Dad’s 70th birthday at Gins Barn. The barn has been beautifully converted and is in the most stunning spot near the water, with a pier and boats to look at. It was so quiet and peaceful, yet quick to drive to nearby Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Lymington. The customer service was fantastic and we were given lots of suggestions for things to do. It couldn’t have been more perfect for our family and we are very grateful! Would highly recommend.
Situated just a 5 minute walk from Keyhaven marina and the start of the trails around Keyhaven and Pennington Marsh, Little Nye is in a wonderful, and convenient, location. Simple, yet comfortable, furnishings make this a cosy bolthole at the end of a long day hiking or birdwatching. Perfect for a couple, or when travelling solo, Little Nye is in a safe neighbourhood. I stayed at Valley View House with 7 of my girlfriends and we could not have asked for a lovelier weekend. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the location is just stunning. Every room in the house is beautifully furnished with sociable living and dining spaces and bedrooms, each with views over the New Forest hills, that are comfy, warm and hard to leave! We had a great weekend with walks from the doorstep and dinner at a great pub, just a 5 minute walk away. Popsy Cottage is a truly beautiful cottage. It felt very homely from the moment we arrived. The place was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The lounge was very comfortable with a fabulous corner sofa and the log fire was perfect. The open plan kitchen was excellent and had everything that you need. Bathrooms were all superb as well. Whilst the bedrooms were great with loads of storage the only negative was the mattresses on the beds. They were far too soft. Apart from that everything was 100% perfect.
We had a lovely Easter weekend in Two Sides cottage which is in a very quiet village and not far from Lymington. The cottage has everything to keep all ages happy with lots of activity around the area from walks, pubs , crazy golf and the sights of lymington at the door step. Two families reunited after a few years apart at Two sides cottage where we absolutely loved our stay catching up and reminiscing in a homely space . Thankyou
Our family ranging from 5 months to 73 years enjoyed a fantastic weekend in this beautiful property. NFE were always helpful and the property itself was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. The location suited us as it was near the beach, the forest and Pippa Pig world. The luxury of the hot tub was a bonus and we enjoyed the relaxation. We would definitely book again.
What a great ‘home’ to stay in !!! Our first Airbnb experience could t have been better, from all of the help we received from New Forest Escapes all the way through booking and a few questions to the welcome pack and then just the property itself !! I won’t list all that was great as it will take too long, but a summary of ‘everything’ should suffice. Outdoor space second to none, space inside very well appointed and lots to do. A nice cottage in a lovely location, very clean and well equipped with great coastal walks nearby and pub for food.
We spent 4 days at Field View Cottage and found everything about it perfectly charming. The cleanliness was superb. The kitchen was well stocked with useful cooking utensils. There was plenty of hot water. The living area was spacious and comfortable. The downstairs double with en suite gave an element of privacy from the upstairs. The garden was completely fenced so there were no dog worries and was immaculately kept. Easy 20 minute walk down into Milford where there is a good range of pubs and shops. I really can't recommend this property higher!!
Two weeks before our arrival I specifically sent an email to New Forest Escapes asking for the heating to be on and the house warm for our 4pm arrival, this was a special stay for my 90 year old mother in law who had been seriously ill earlier this year (I specifically booked this house because it was on one floor and had walk-in showers in two of the three bedrooms). The reply back was 'Yes of course. All of our properties are warm on arrival for 4pm :) Kind Regards". During our stay the downstairs toilet broke but it fixed very quickly. The plumber and cleaning person were very friendly. All was good. Our second visit was a good as the first. (Suggestion: the pillows were a bit lumpy in the room with the two singles made up as a king zip an link).
We stayed for a long weekend with our elderly parents and had a really enjoyable time. The house was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and had eveything we needed to enjoy our time there.
We had a lovely stay in Lymington. Nutshell cottage has a fantastic location and the parking clock is very easy to use. Great that you can also use the parking clock for free parking at other car parks around the New Forest, we didn’t realise this until day 3 though! Location wise, it’s very good - just off the main High St. A good local pub just around the corner is the Townhouse. Great food and decent menu, dog friendly too like most pubs we found in Lymington. Beautiful house. Well equipped, very comfortable, clean. Good location. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend & would love to return in the summer & make use of the lovely garden and pool
Enjoyed a wonderful week in the New Forest and could not have stayed at a more wonderful home. A beautiful upside down house so you get all the views and light in the top floor and direct access to the lovely garden. Everything has been thought of and the quality of fixtures and fittings is great. Very comfortable beds. The kids play room in the attic with PS4 and dozens upon dozens of board games was a very nice touch. All in all a 10 out of 10 - just wish we had a posh boat to park up on the house’s own launch! We really enjoyed our short stay at dog friendly Anoush. The cottage is beautifully decorated and appointed. Very clean. The hot tub, of course, was wonderful. The kitchen has all the essential cutlery, crockery and utensils. There were some lovely touches such as fresh flowers on arrival and the dog treats. The snug has a TV, only for live-streaming accounts eg., Netflix. We had no heating the first evening but this was remedied the following day by our host. The kingsize beds are comfortable. The Boat Shed is super cute. Easy to find and so walkable into Lymington. Also great to do the Lymington to Milford coastal walk. Lots of great places to eat; The Ship and Kings Head were faves. Definitely do the Isle Of Wight walk on and use the bus but get the one day travel pass. We had such a great time and our dog also loved it. Ideally weather would have been better but no complaints overall.
Excellent, well appointed and very comfortable property with very responsive and helpful owners. And in a very good location for exploring this part of the New Forest.
Heather Cottage is a lovely cottage set in a perfect location - close to Brockenhurst centre and with the ability to walk straight into the forest. It is very welcoming and we really liked the cake, and bottle of wine left for us! We have 2 children under 5 and they loved the garden making full use of the trampoline and little swimming pool. The house gave us plenty of space and is well appointed. The communication between New Forest Escapes was excellent with any problems or questions being resolved quickly. It is clearly a family home rather than a full time holiday rental so some cupboards...more
A very quaint cottage, with a lovely view from the back decking. inside it is clean, warm and comfortable for a short break. The outside of the property falls short however with it's uncared for garden and boundary fences and the poor paint finish to the side and rear. Could do with a good tidy up. Makes you feel like the poor relation to the owners other adjoining beautifully landscaped property (perhaps they blew the budget on that).
