Popsy Cottage is a truly beautiful cottage. It felt very homely from the moment we arrived.
The place was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The lounge was very comfortable with a fabulous corner sofa and the log fire was perfect.
The open plan kitchen was excellent and had everything that you need.
Bathrooms were all superb as well.
Whilst the bedrooms were great with loads of storage the only negative was the mattresses on the beds. They were far too soft.
Apart from that everything was 100% perfect.

This is our second stay at Popsy Cottage and I'm sure it will not be our last as the property is extremely comfortable and very accommodating. The large kitchen/diner is a great space, plus the corner sofa in the lounge is perfect. The location of the cottage is also great for exploring both the New Forest and the near by coast line too. We can also highly recommend the pies from the butchers in Sway as well.

We have had a wonderful weekend at Popsy cottage celebrating a 60th birthday with friends. I cannot fault the property, great location in a beautiful village close to local walks, two great pubs, shops and a beautiful church. New Forest Escapes were fantastic with their customer service and I cannot recommend them enough. We will certainly be back.

A lovely house that felt like home.
Everything there we could need.
Lovely to have tea, coffee pods, sugar, foil etc provided.
Very clean, modern & comfortable.
Next time we come to the New Forest we will definitely book Popsy Cottage again!

A well maintained cottage to stay in with a couple of local shops nearby. The beds were good but the duvets were winter quality which we found a bit to hot with the good weather. A lovely kitchen but the induction appeared to be a little temperamental. These were only minor things, overall the place was great with enough room for everybody

Had a brilliant week at Popsy Cottage with the family. Very clean and well equipped home in a great location within walking distance of pubs, country walks, train station and a few local shops. Ample driveway parking for two cars. Would book again next year if available.

Popsy Cotrage was a lovely bright and spacious house. The location was great- walking distance to 2 family friendly pubs and easy to visit many great sites in the New Forest by car.

We stayed at Popsy Cottage for a week with our two sons aged 5 and 1.5. The house was bigger than I expected, really well equipped and in a fantastic location. Sway is a great place to be, with many great walks you can start from your front door, supermarket, pubs, butchers, cafe and playground all within a few minutes walking distance.

The house had everything we needed, toys for the kids, a big garden, bbq, good layout and lots of space. The only two small things that could be improved were: the en suite shower had quite a bit of limescale and some of the pans didn’t seem to work on the hob. Very minor issues though. We loved our week there and would return.

The photos do justice to this wonderful property. From the moment you walk into the house and explore what it has to offer, we knew we wouldn't want for anything. Everything is top-notch, and all the little touches just add to making this a perfect stay. All the rooms are spacious, well-appointed and beautifully lit. The self-contained garden was ideal for our 2.5 year old grandson as was the Duplo collection which was the star of the week as far as he was concerned.

If you're thinking about booking here, don't hesitate. The location is ideal too for visiting the New Forest and the surrounding beaches, and if you're in the mood for some pub food, I'd highly recommend the Hare and Hound just around the corner.

One word of caution though, don't leave any food out in the kitchen, as you may get a visit from the local ant army. Easily and quickly resolved, but it was a lesson we could have done without. But that won't marr how highly I'd recommend this delightful cottage. Thank you...

Lovely house in great location for exploring both the New Forest and the coast. House is perfectly kitted out for everything you need - and the sofa in the lounge is a great size. Bedrooms nice and spacious with good quality linen and towels - we will definitely be booking again and will be recommending to all our friends and family.

Sway is an excellent New Forest Location and Popsy Cottage is well located in the village, in walking distance to all the village amenities.

Popsy Cottage is lovely. It could benefit from better attention to detail in the cleaning services (dog hair on sofa cushions, wardrobe shelving dust and cobwebs, hoovering the whole room rather than just the main walkways) and a bit of attention to detail with the fittings (quite a number of chipped plates, pans that didn't work on more than one induction hob ring due to their size, sofa seat broken on one side of the kitchen sofa).

Notwithstanding the above the cottage is still a great option and with the matters attended to it will be superb.

Lovely house in a great location for the forest and the coast.

The only negative is the mattress in the master bedroom sags at the edges and needs replacing.

Other than that it is an excellent property.

Great little property. Fabulous space with a wonderful log fire to make you feel cosy. Well equipped with what you need. Very small point but might be nice to store the toys elsewhere than in the living room as made it a bit untidy. Sofa in the kitchen needs a bit of a deep clean. Otherwise it was well presented and extremely comfortable. The co op was a minutes walk away so hugely convenient and the hare and hounds which was a great pub to eat in was a 5 minute walk. Train station was a 3/5 minute walk so you could explore some of the area without taking the car. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and very quiet. Would recommend this.

We loved this cottage. It is so stylish, modern and comfortable. The sofas in the front room had plenty of space for the 6 of us.

The property was very clean, all pre-arrival instructions clear.

Heating at the property a little difficult to follow [on arrival the house was a little cold - heating apparently not used before this week's rental. The property manager contacted and resolved following her visit next morning. The kitchen was high specification with Neff appliances but difficult to get the 'hob' to work properly. Pans supplied either wrong type for the hob or wrong size as confirmed by the property manager - managed to get one of the hob sections working.

The oven was ok but again no casserole dishes with lids to use - had to buy one from Waitrose so we could use the oven.

Property manager also confirmed there should have been a tray in the kitchen, there wasn't. Not a big problem but one available would have been useful.

Smart TV difficult to operate until Property Manager explained that there was an additional remote [ not immediately seen / in a drawer!] - small points but rather annoying.

Better instructions needs to operate TV & the kitchen appliances.

Location of property good / very quiet. The weather not good enough to use the garden which was pleasant - shed in the back useful for the storage of two electric bikes during the stay.

The property was fitted with lots of mod cons, was spacious and comfortable. We especially liked the kitchen living area with the bifold doors. Grass needed mowing though. On the first day found en-suite shower extremely hot and scalded myself. My husband had to turn the boiler temp down as on max. All in all nice property.

Pros: modern and spacious interior, nice location. Dog friendly with nice secure garden.
Cons: bed in master bedroom (too soft and lumpy mattress) and general cleanliness lacked attention to detail.
Recommend: addition of electric car charging point would be beneficial.

We really enjoyed our time in Popsy Cottage. It was very well stocked with all kitchen and dining requirements, and the condition of the rooms and furniture was immaculate. The selection of toys provided kept my two young grandchildren entertained for hours. The village of Sway is an ideal location to explore the New Forest and is within very easy reach of Lymington and the seaside. In every respect, Popsy Cottage was a delightful and charming choice for somewhere to stay in that particular area.

We were fortunate enough that Popsy cottage was available for a last minute week away in July/Aug for my family of 6 adults and one dog. The house was exactly as shown on the 3D tour and we were not disappointed. The house is lovely and modern especially the bi-fold doors from the kitchen/diner into the garden, exceptionally clean and comfortable and had thoughtful interior touches to make it feel homely. The location in Sway village is fabulous and there are two local pubs within 5 minutes walking distance that serve excellent food. We visited the beautiful local beaches Friars Cliff and Avon which are only 15 minutes drive away and also you are nearby to the lovely New Forest which we spent a few days exploring on foot and bikes.
New Forest Escapes were very helpful with queries that I had and the booking and subsequent arrival instructions went very smoothly I would not hesitate to stay at Popsy Cottage in the future and use New Forest Escapes team for any other properties.

We arranged a long weekend break with oour children and their babies and it was exactly what we had hoped for. There were 6 adults, 2 babies and a dog.
The house was perfect for our needs, with travel cot, high chair, stairgate, plastic bowls etc and lots of toys.
The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were very lucky with the weather so we're able to open the bifold doors fully and eat in the garden, it was idyllic.
The location is great with 2 small shops for all essentials plus more for our needs and a fantastic butcher (also selling vegan).
We had a fantastic time and wished we could have stayed longer. We definitely hope to return.
