I stayed at Valley View House with 7 of my girlfriends and we could not have asked for a lovelier weekend. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the location is just stunning. Every room in the house is beautifully furnished with sociable living and dining spaces and bedrooms, each with views over the New Forest hills, that are comfy, warm and hard to leave!

We had a great weekend with walks from the doorstep and dinner at a great pub, just a 5 minute walk away. Supermarkets delivered to the house, and there are some lovely shops and cafes in Fordingbridge for those extra bits you may need.

With the easy booking, the really great communication with the New Forest Excapes team, and the most wonderful house, it was a perfect weekend.

We had a marvelous time at Valley View House, the PERFECT location, stunning views gorgeous house & would love to go back again!

A few notes for the property owners;
- The Lower Annexe was very damp, I stayed in that room and the bed sheets were damp, and my asthma played up because of it. We had to tumble dry the sheets to try and make it better but it went back to the same the next day. Plus the sink leaked in that bathroom.
- Also in the lower annexe it would have been nice to have a kettle same as the upper annexe for the mornings.
- It would have been a nice touch to have mini toiletries for the bathrooms as there are so many for all the guests (fantastic) it would be nice if everyone didn't have to bring their own shampoos etc.
- Dusting seemed a little off, cobwebs in corners, I understand it's a country cottage but it showed that the cleaners weren't thorough between cleans. Would have been 5 out of 5 if those little things were better!

All in all a wonderful stay, the outside was glorious and we ate out every night!

Lovely spacious house in a beautiful setting with stunning views across the valley. Easily accommodated four generations of one family together and didn't want for anything during our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a large family house, wants a peaceful location and access on the doorstep to the many beautiful walks the New Forest offers.

Fantastic property in an amazing secluded sport with the most incredible view (which photos sadly don't do justice to!) We loved the fact you have walks into the forest on your doorstep and a decent pub five minutes up the road.

We loved our stay at Valley View. The property has incredible views and is a good location to all the family sites we visited. We stayed with 3 young families and there was plenty of space for everyone, including on site parking. The property has a luxury and contemporary cottage feel. The AGA, the open fire place and vast views really added to the countryside experience for us. We would definately recommend a visit!

We were are a group of 5 friends spending a week walking in the New Forest and this was the perfect place for us. 6 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms meant we all had our privacy. Location was just perfect! We hardly used our cars. First time in this part of the NF and would definitely return. So much quieter than south of the A31.

Valley View is all about location - absolutely perfect for walks on your doorstep and exploring the New Forest. The house itself is well presented and the view from the garden is stunning. Agree with some comments that a more comfortable sofa would be nice. My only other comment is a general one. It does seem that as a legacy of COVID the check in and out hours now really impact upon value for Money. 4pm check in and 10am check out. Do owners/managing agents really need 6 hours for change around? I know guests can always ask to extend but it is rarely offered and seldom agreed.

Really good place to stay for a three generational family.
Plenty of bathroom, bedroom and living space.
Well equipped kitchen.
Wonderful to be.able to cross the road and be on New Forest heathland.
Good to have the annex. Baby monitor on WiFi works fine from the house.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We were 3 families coming together for a very special celebration. The house was just what we needed- extremely clean, very well equipped & beautifully presented, with the bonus of the use of the open fire! We felt very welcome from the start with the greeting of the Dorset apple cake and the children's activity packs! A very comfortable, homely stay, with breath taking views of the New Forest, it truly was the perfect house for such a memorable family occasion. We are hoping to return again next year, in the Summer!

My friends and I have enjoyed a long weekend at this lovely house for the last three years. The best thing is the amazing view. There are lovely walks from the door and good local pubs. The house is very comfortable and well equipped.

The property lived up to its name with a good view across the valley. It was very clean and well supplied.
New Forest Escapes were well organised and very helpful in allowing us to use the annexe instead of the single bed-rooms - which was much appreciated.
Property has good access to New Forest and local amenities, good for cycling and walking.
We visited Salisbury Cathedral and Hurst Castle as well as some of the local villages. We can recommend visiting Breamore House and Country Museum as well as the Motor Museum
Slight downside to the house was a lack of a downstairs toilet (out of service) nevertheless, the whole family enjoyed their stay

3 generation family spent an excellent week at Valley View. Wonderful location in beautiful well - appointed property. Dining out under the vines each evening was a treat and grandchildren enjoyed the freedom of the garden - not to mention the ponies coming to the gate! Could we suggest some additional cutlery and some small desert bowls? Would love to return.

We had a lovely week at Valley View. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The garden and views are unforgettable. You can't help but feel relaxed when sitting outside, it's so calming and peaceful. It's also very easy to walk or cycle around the forest from the house. We will be back!

The main house was very spacious and well equipped with furnishings and kitchen items. The kitchen wall tiles needed a good clean.

The annexe bedroom was basic but clean. A radio or tv would have been appreciated.

Really good accommodation and facilities (although could do with another set of cutlery and a few more wine glasses!).
Valley View lived up to its name - view was glorious at all times of the day - wild horses and deer across the valley.
If you want quiet then come here - no traffic, no aeroplanes, just birdsong and the breeze.

Lovely property in delightful grounds which had all the facilities you could hope for and was well set up for one to two families or for a group of friends. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the dining and living room areas are very comfortable and smart. Only minor criticisms are the aga can make the house too warm and we would have liked to know that the additional accommodation on the garden consists of two separate spaces rather than the one joined space we had expected. This matters when you stay with children. And one final thing, we saw deer in the bottom garden and lots of bird life, which made the stay magical.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at valley view house. The views are amazing. It was a peaceful and calming environment with ponies, cows and donkeys left free to roam the streets. House is close to fordingbridge which has good local amenities. We enjoyed our daily walks through the various paths and met lovely locals. We were greeted by deers who passed through the fields in the back garden.
The weather was mixed but that did not stop us from enjoying our walks through the forest.
We would love to visit valley view house again!

We had a fantastic week at Valley View. It is an incredible house in a beautiful location. The house is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. There is plenty of space inside and out, and stunning views. We are a family ranging in age from 7 to 80 and it suited us all. We did not get in the car all week, enjoying walks in various directions exploring the area, and meeting all the local wildlife. It was very peaceful and restful and we would highly recommend this beautiful place to stay.
