We were four adults in one car staying for 4 nights & this house was perfect! Plenty of room in a fresh, very clean & comfortable house with all the mod cons. Powerful showers, comfy beds, peaceful location despite being within a minute’s walking distance to the high street shops & restaurants. We had an SUV so avoided the parking spot and used the car park but often found a free bay in the road, so no problem. Tbh you don’t need to use your car! We would recommend Nutmeg House & stay again. Thank you!

We had a great stay in Lymington at Nutmeg House. First the property: superb location, very well equipped, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and clean. The only thing that warrants mention is that street parking outside can be tricky - however, the long stay car park behind m&s is only a 2 minute walk away. You can park there for free for 20 hours with the parking clock you are provided with (this is a great bonus that you get with the property, which lets you park in any New Forest car park for free). Location: couldn’t be more central in Lymington near shops, restaurants, and pubs and also an excellent base to see the New Forest and Coast. Service: New Forest Escapes were great throughout: helpful, friendly, and well organised - and when our car broke down, kindly let us leave our bags in the property for longer on check out day while it was fixed. Overall a great holiday.

Brilliant location. House has a very welcoming feel. Great restaurants and bars etc around . Not far from the Harbour.

A beautiful house with classy interiors. Very comfortable, easy and quick to settle into. The only slight downside was the central heating made the upstairs bedrooms, particularly the large one uncomfortable for sleeping (for us anyway).

We loved Nutmeg House! It was so cosy and warm and beautifully done out - we even had a gorgeous Christmas tree and decs around the house! Kitchen very well equipped with everything you could need. Beds very large and comfy, although some feather pillows would have been a bonus. Location is brilliant, 1 min walk and you’re at the top of the high street. M&S and Waitrose both less than 5 mins walk for supplies. We managed to park in St Thomas Park so no need to use the parking clock provided. We had a problem with one radiator which was fixed very quickly and efficiently by a plumber. Communication was really quick and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic weekend break with family and our dog. Perfect central location. The house was well equipped and comfy. We loved the house.
Only recommendation would be a non slip mat for the bath to enable mature guests or guests with restricted mobility easier access to shower.

Had a great stay in Nutmeg House, weather was a bonus too for October. House is in a perfect location to Lymington high street, supermarkets and some really good pubs. House is fully equipped with everything. The only downside is the parking outside the house, not suitable for a large family car. Would still recommend, had a great time.

Fantastic stay at Nutmeg House. The house itself is excellent - clean, well-propotioned and with all the of the things you'd need along with a few nice extras that made the stay even better (well-equipped kitchen, a few boardgames and games for kids, buckets for crabbing!). The location is very convenient, with the only minor drawback being parking being a bit of a faff, but this was flagged incredibly clearly in advance and was actually fine to navigate. One of the things that makes the whole experience stand out even further was the excellent customer service - local recommendations, checking in to make sure all was ok, and a call on the day to let us know we could check in slightly early. All these little touches make a real difference. Thank you!

I can't say that we weren't warned about the parking issue but didn't appreciate quite how awful it was, I'm afraid. However, this is the only negative comment I have. Nutmeg House is a lovely property which was spectacularly clean and modern. The sofas and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. It's in a great position in the town and although there is only a small courtyard (not so good if you have a dog...) it was nice to be able to sit outside if we wanted to.

Great place in a great location and lovely little outdoor space. Suitable for 6 adults and 2 children and a dog!
Only issue was it was a bit too hot upstairs, could do with some fans.

A beautiful property, perfect for our family needs. Tasteful furnishings, super comfortable and everything needed for our stay. Spacious but feels cosy at the same time. And very clean!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Nutmeg house, the location of the property was excellent for the shops and restaurants.
It was lovely to find that the cleanliness of the house was of the standard expected. A radio in the kitchen would be useful
and also some smaller tumbler glasses for drinks.
Nutmeg house is a lovely well equipped house with lots of home comforts and feels like home from home.

We had a fab Xmas in Nutmeg House. The beds were comfortable, the sheets soft, the whole house spotlessly clean. The customer service (after a trivial minor blip) was absolutely excellent. In a few minutes walk we could reach all that Lymington has to offer, from the supermarket, shops and cafes, pubs and restaurants to the sea and nature reserve. We cycled a lot too, along the coast and into the forest - all very easy. Nutmeg House is cosy yet spacious, hidden but right in the centre of things, and I'd definitely recommend it.

We spent a very relaxing weekend with another family at Nutmeg House. The layout is a little it quirky but worked for four adults and four children. The house was well equipped, super comfy sofas in a spacious lounge. The kitchen had everything you could need.

Location-wise, it was perfect for the local Saturday market on the High Street and walking distance to the quayside.

The only challenge was the parking. There is space for only one small car in front of the house and the drive is narrow for access and limited space to turn around to come out - we struggled with a Suzuki Swift. But there is a parking permit allowing free parking in the various places nearby, so we were able to sort ourselves.

Nutmeg House is tucked away, very tucked away, behind the high street. Good location. Beautifully appointed, lovely fluffy towels, spacious bedrooms. Lounge very comfortable, lots of home comforts. Beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Cosy garden courtyard for time outside. Lovely touches to have some catering basics there, every cooking and dining equipment you could possibly need. Lovely house, really nicely decorated, very stylish and comfortable. Well equipped. Great location , one way is a lovely little pub and beer garden, the other way leads you to the High street. Also so close to the cricket ground, our kids love cricket so that was a bonus, and also can park the car there for upto 3 hours if stuck for a parking spot. Parking wasn't ideal but we did manage to get a spot on the road quite often if you are prepared to pop out an look often enough , and if not its not really that much of a chore to park in the Marks and Spencer carpark. Spoilt for choice for food shopping - M&S Food hall and Waitrose 2 minute walk away.
All in all a very nice stay, would recommend a radio for the kitchen, and comfier chairs in kitchen as living room is a bit of a squash for all to fit in - so some often sat at the kitchen table , which wasn't a problem as is very nice, just need a softer chair! A retractable washing line outside is needed. We used the airer but not enough space for 8 peoples beach attire! Also another parking clock would have been handy since there is a lot of swapping about with the cars, it was a pain for the car not parked outside the house if they needed the parking clock but it was still in the other car.

We really enjoyed our stay and Nutmeg House which was very well appointed, and very comfortable for 7 adults and 2 dogs. The only slight negative was parking which was awkward.
