Everything feels spacious in our ground floor getaway, and the main living areas loop around… just go with the New Forest flow! Dog friendly.

We had a lovely stay at Oak Lodge and it felt like real home from home with all you could need.

It was clean on arrival with good welcome pack and a few essentials.Given it was summer though the duvets were very warm for the temperatures we thought.

On the first couple of days the WiFi wasn’t really effective at all , so made it difficult for us with also no phone signal to keep in touch with family /work etc and check on internet for places to go and book etc. I know it’s the new forest but we have never experienced issues before.

Fab outdoor space to relax and the hot tub was essential to relax in the evenings.

All in all a great place for our short break.

As a guest returning for the second time we loved the area just as much as the last time.The house is of a large size and very comfortable with a great garden.Thankyou for a great stay.

We went as a group of 6 adults, 8mth baby and 22mth toddler. Choosen as had no stairs to worry about and it’s location to Burley. Everything you need in property and fantastic location to get around to many places. We all really enjoyed our stay in Oak Lodge.
Hired a chef for a night to celebrate 2 family birthdays - Jen came to property to cook & serve.

New Forest Escspes were really helpful answering any questions (thank you Lauren!) that we had before our stay - being we had 2 young children. We were able to get extended time on departure - which helped alot. Just a thought - maybe revise to 11am - just to ease the pressure of check out. As we would’ve struggled to do 10am. Highly recommend Oak Lodge and New Forest Escapes.

Oak Lodge is a delightful bungalow set in the heart of the New Forest . Extremely well appointed, spotlessly clean , spacious and comfortable! Burley is a 10 min walk away , which also has everything you need , including a very nice golf course . A day out exploring , then back for a relax in the hot tub, listening to the birds singing away !

Oak Lodge was an excellent, well-equipped, comfortable house to stay in for our visit to Burley, exploring the New Forest. The garden is beautiful and the dog thoroughly enjoyed himself! The location is extremely peaceful and the approach is almost otherworldly as you drive up the lane; on some days we saw deer and horses. In terms of its position in the New Forest, it's great for exploring the whole area. We would absolutely recommend this property and New Forest Escapes.

We spent a wonderful week over Christmas with friends & our lab.
Oak Lodge is a perfect property for relaxing & exploring the New Forest. Quietly situated in an excellent location with great walks from the doorstep & just a 10 minute stroll to the lovely village of Burley.
The property was clean, extremely comfortable & has everything you need (although champagne flutes would be a good addition). Lovely large totally secure garden giving peace of mind for dogs or children.
We had slight minor issue the day before Christmas Eve which unfortunately meant we had to contact Jon-but a big thank you to Jon who was really quick to help with ensuring it was sorted for us.
We had a great meal in The Queens Head-good food, great service & very dog friendly.
Can thoroughly recommend Oak Lodge & New Forest Escapes-an excellent company to book through.

Overall, this was exactly what we wanted. High spec decor and furnishings with a beautiful, large dog-secure garden. A few negatives though.... the 'welcome pack' was a bottle of milk, a bar of chocolate and a packet of biscuits with two mini pots of jam. We've had better elsewhere and would have expected something more impressive given the booking price. Also, there was no 'manual' and no clue to the wifi code. With next to zero phone signal, we were extremely lucky to eventually make contact and receive it by text. I needed to work while away, so this was essential! And the 'log burner style' faux gas fire didn't work and the facade was hanging away from the wall. It was a bit irritating but also could have been dangerous (we did mention this in the guest book).

This was one of the best kept places we have stayed in for a while. Plenty of space for our 4 adults and 2 doggy family . Garden was just amazing - large - shaded and secluded. The hot tub was fabulous - clean and just the right temperature . Bedrooms were comfortable and each had their own bathroom which was perfect. Nice location close to the village centre and some
Lovely walks on your doorstep. Highly recommended .

This was a beautiful house from the living room,kitchen to the large bedrooms.loverly shower rooms.Large garden.
Lot of potholes upto the house but soon got used to avoiding them.One small thing needs a long mirror in second bedroom.
All in all absolutely loved the stay.Easy access to the coast or into new forest.
