We spent a wonderful week over Christmas with friends & our lab.
Oak Lodge is a perfect property for relaxing & exploring the New Forest. Quietly situated in an excellent location with great walks from the doorstep & just a 10 minute stroll to the lovely village of Burley.
The property was clean, extremely comfortable & has everything you need (although champagne flutes would be a good addition). Lovely large totally secure garden giving peace of mind for dogs or children.
We had slight minor issue the day before Christmas Eve which unfortunately meant we had to contact Jon-but a big thank you to Jon who was really quick to help with ensuring it was sorted for us.
We had a great meal in The Queens Head-good food, great service & very dog friendly.
Can thoroughly recommend Oak Lodge & New Forest Escapes-an excellent company to book through.

Overall, this was exactly what we wanted. High spec decor and furnishings with a beautiful, large dog-secure garden. A few negatives though.... the 'welcome pack' was a bottle of milk, a bar of chocolate and a packet of biscuits with two mini pots of jam. We've had better elsewhere and would have expected something more impressive given the booking price. Also, there was no 'manual' and no clue to the wifi code. With next to zero phone signal, we were extremely lucky to eventually make contact and receive it by text. I needed to work while away, so this was essential! And the 'log burner style' faux gas fire didn't work and the facade was hanging away from the wall. It was a bit irritating but also could have been dangerous (we did mention this in the guest book).

This was one of the best kept places we have stayed in for a while. Plenty of space for our 4 adults and 2 doggy family . Garden was just amazing - large - shaded and secluded. The hot tub was fabulous - clean and just the right temperature . Bedrooms were comfortable and each had their own bathroom which was perfect. Nice location close to the village centre and some
Lovely walks on your doorstep. Highly recommended .

This was a beautiful house from the living room,kitchen to the large bedrooms.loverly shower rooms.Large garden.
Lot of potholes upto the house but soon got used to avoiding them.One small thing needs a long mirror in second bedroom.
All in all absolutely loved the stay.Easy access to the coast or into new forest.
