We have stayed in several properties for Christmas breaks as a family, but this cannot be beaten. The rooms are clean and modern, whilst still having decorative touches that make it feel more like a home than a rental property. The kitchen is fully equipped, multiple plates, glasses, cutlery etc so that you are not constantly having to run the dishwasher between meals. Even rarer, there were many baking trays, utensils, serving dishes etc for those that love to cook. A second fridge was essential for Christmas and particularly appreciated. Sofas are stylish and comfortable, as are the beds. Bathrooms are modern and incredibly clean. The location is perfect for walking into town (especially along the scenic harbour walk) and there are a couple of great pubs within ten minutes walk too. We recommend the Mayflower, The Haven and The Ship. We also had a great day out to Butlers Hard (learning about the history of ship building in the area). As we were there in the winter we did not spend time in the garden, but there is a large patio, lawn and summer house. Our family is grown up now, but the cupboards are full of quality toys and games for younger families. Parking worked well outside of the house and in the street. We cannot praise this property enough. Many thanks.

Great house, all was as it looked like in the photos. Beds very comfortable. Owners very helpful. Only one very minor downside and this might just be us, the large floor to ceiling windows in the living room have no curtains, so at night time you don't have privacy and also you keep seeing your reflection. Personal choice of course but we ended up putting up the black out blinds up to make it a bit less odd.

We stayed at Swallows cottage for five nights in September. I couldn’t fault the accommodation- very comfortable beds with good quality bed linen and towels. Excellently equipped kitchen, plenty of everything if you plan to cook. Four good sized bedrooms.
The area is quiet, residential, but easy walking to the marina, a bit further to get into town.
The only thing lacking is some curtains for the patio windows- it felt a bit exposed at night.
I can definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay for 5 including two children under 10. The cottage was well stocked with everything you need to cook and to entertain two active boys. The garden space was a joy to use and the games supply was excellent to keep everyone entertained. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are superb. It was a perfect set up. Plenty of space and very comfortable. We only stayed for 4 nights but could way spend two weeks here. An easy stroll into Lymington or to the coastal Path and only a short car journey to the New Forest itself. We enjoyed the cottage so much we mainly just chilled, cooked and enjoyed the time together. I was also particularly impressed with the information pack supplied by New Forest Escapes and their follow up phone call upon booking and the explorer packs provided for the children. Just added a little something extra. Impressive service justifying their tag line for luxury escapes. 10/10

Such a lovely place to stay. A beautiful place to stay and very central to lots of fun things to do. The best equipped cottage/house we have ever stayed in. They have thought of literally everything. Kids were so happy and occupied with the many things to play with and do. Kitchen had everything you needed, cots and fans were available in bedrooms etc. All in all a fab holiday and everything about it made it relaxing and fun!

We had such an amazing time at Swallow Cottage from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, incredibly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need – a real home-from-home. We particularly loved the comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. The location is fantastic for exploring lymington and new forest. It truly felt like a peaceful escape.

This cottage exceeded all our expectations! The photos truly don’t do it justice—it’s even more beautiful in person. The location is fantastic, just a short distance from the town center and the yacht club. The home is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to an incredible selection of toys and games for kids, making it perfect for families. It’s spacious, cozy, and ideal for hosting larger groups. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. Thank you for such a fantastic experience!
