Always wanted to visit New Forest and found the Lookout was free for a quick long weekend break before the clocks changed. Had a wonderful 3 days, with some amazing walks with the pooch amongst the wildlife even if it was a bit damp in places. Location is idea for walks as well as a trip to the beach and pub!

Lovely location amazing views saw lots of wildlife could spend time just relaxing and enjoying nature weather could have been better but it didn’t stop us from walking and exploring. Recommend the Foresters Arms pub lovely food. Wimborne Minster worth a visit

Location of this charming cottage provided the opportunity to walk directly onto the beautiful countryside of the New Forest. Ponies, donkeys and deer with their young roamed freely around the area. The cottage provided all we needed for a week of exploring the area. Cosy with the gas fire on the colder evenings and the kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals.
The secure garden meant our dog was able to run around in safety.
I would certainly return to this property.

Great location for walks/pubs and lovely view from the terrace. Property has all the essentials but was quite basic. It could do with being a bit more cosy and comfortable to make it feel more special and be more inviting for a night in.

What an amazing location. I had a fabulous long weekend and was enchanted as soon as I entered the drive. Any nature lovers out there will adore this. A host of incredible walks on your doorstep, deer popping up over the garden fence and birds, ponies rabbits and the rest with you on your walks. The cottage itself had everything I needed, really comfortable and finished to a lovely standard. Very peaceful and the deck was a superb place to relax.

We picked the house for location and it was spot on, walks from doorstep, only used car for shopping
Unfortunately the house and garden needs some attention, considering the price we paid
Happy to expand on issues if required

The cottage is beautifully located and the kitchen is well equipped although an air fryer would be a good addition.

Some of the workmanship on the cottage was of questionable quality especially in the bathroom.

The seating in the lounge could have been a little more comfortable after a long day walking.

You never quite know what to expect of a place when you only have some rather nice pictures from the listing but this cottage lives up to its advert. From the outside an old thatched cottage but inside a rather swish modern bungalow. A well appointed kitchen (although the cutlery draw is very well hidden), comfortable lounge and bedroom and a bathroom with an excellent walk-in shower unit. But what makes this place especially wonderful is the view from the deck outside the kitchen with a view across the heathland framed by old trees. If you're into birdlife you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended for a New Forest visit.
Two final thing, I'm allergic to animal hairs so was a bit worried as 'DOGS ARE WELCOME' I asked for a deep clean and goodness it was done I had no reason to take my anti-allergy tablets I was very grateful. Finally I'm grateful that the management team did answer the help line, nothing serious but good to have a quick response.

A very quaint cottage, with a lovely view from the back decking. inside it is clean, warm and comfortable for a short break. The outside of the property falls short however with it's uncared for garden and boundary fences and the poor paint finish to the side and rear. Could do with a good tidy up. Makes you feel like the poor relation to the owners other adjoining beautifully landscaped property (perhaps they blew the budget on that).
