A large farmhouse style kitchen welcomes you into Hyssop cottage. Two steps up and into the lounge with a log burner, perfect for relaxing in front of during the evening. Glass patio doors in the living room lead to the enclosed private terrace with table and chairs, and a garden perfect for relaxing. This stone cottage is part of the old farmhouse and so has spacious rooms. There is a downstairs w/c leading off the entrance hall. Upstairs there is a king sized bedroom, then along the corridor and down a step to the large bathroom with bath and separate shower and triple bedroom, which can also be turned into a super king and single on request. We welcome up to three medium well behaved dogs, downstairs in this cottage.

Just back from our third stay in the fantastic cottage. Brilliant location, with fantastic on site facilities! Our boys love the soft play, rode on tractors, and pool, but the animals are the stars!

Cottage is warm and welcoming, with absolutely everything you could need. Beds are super comfy, and our dog loves being free to roam in the enclosed garden. Hosts are incredibly welcoming, it’s not a question of IF we come back, it’s a matter of WHEN!

We had a wonderful few days in Hyssop Cottage shortly before Christmas. The cottage itself was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped with everything we might need. We especially loved the Christmassy touches. Our 2 year old son absolutely loved feeding the animals, especially the very friendly goats, and the fact there is so much to do on site made our stay as relaxing as it can be with a young child. Lizzie and Nathan couldn't have been more welcoming, with Nathan even bringing his tractor out for my son to sit on, which was so kind. We will definitely be back to explore more of what is on offer in this lovely part of Devon.

We come back to nethway every year and this year celebrating Christmas at nethway was very special. The cottage looked so pretty and the hamper was a really lovely surprise. The children were excited to find a present on the tree too. Our dog also had a fab time and loved the treats and ball.

Would recommend this place to anyone especially with kids. Our family and friends had an amazing time at Nethway Farm. The place is fully equipped to keep everyone entertained. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool, feeding the animals, soft play and ride on kids tractors. The cottage itself was fully equipped with everything which made our packing easier. We utilised the cots, high chairs, kids toys and they even had kids cutlery. Lizzie especially was really welcoming and we were grateful for all the fresh eggs. The place is well run and found the app really useful.



Fantastic stay, approachable and friendly owners, very child friendly and spotless everywhere.

Fantastic stay in Hyssop cottage, very well equipped for adults and children. Facilities around the farm were spotless.
Animal feeding and egg collection was a massive hit with my little girl.
Swimming pool was clean and lovely and warm.
Well kept garden and play equipment, lovely walk to the mud kitchen.
Lizzie and Nathan were both lovely, nothing was to much trouble, local area info was really helpful.
Definitely be returning

As previously we've had a wonderful time. Girls loved the soft play, pool, ride on toys, play areas, feeding animals and cuddling baby goats. Great base to explore the local areas too. We'll be back next year!

We had a lovely stay at Nethway Farm, Hyssop cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Highlights were the swimming pool, animal feeding and the games room. Location was great and within east reach of beaches, harbours, Paignton pier and Dartmouth castle. The hosts were very welcoming and made sure we were happy during our stay. Would highly recommend!

This is the 5th time we've stayed at Nethway. Its location and the facilities at the farm make it an excellent place to stay as a family. Lizzie and Nathan gave us the chance to get involved with feeding the animals (pygmy goats were this year's favourite), the soft play area made the changeable weather less of an issue, and the kids made great progress with their swimming as we used the pool every day. There's lots to do in the area too (beaches! Steam trains!). I love the attention to detail in the cottages - so great to stay at a holiday let that makes sure you have a supply of things like cooking oil, dishwasher tablets, and even provides toys and bath toys for the kids. Couldn't recommend it more!

We had a fantastic week staying in the Hyssop cottage at Nethway Farm.

The farm and cottages are picturesque, set within a valley and they have everything you need - stair gates, cots, toddler bed rails, steps, toys, books etc. Really useful.

The kitchen in Hyssop is really well equipped, all the pots/pans/tins you need and utensils to go with. The main bathroom is very nice - recently renovated.

Outside the house the soft play area and garden are great - our 3 year old had so much fun. The pool is nice, with easy booking system so you can have it all to yourselves. Woggles and small floats already there, again, very useful.

Our 3 year old was lucky enough to feed the animals 4 times in the week. Lizzie was great helping to get her involved. She loved feeding the chickens & goats. Thank you for this Lizzie!

Lizzie & Nathan are clearly dedicated to provided a fun, safe & welcoming experience. We certainly recommend these cottages for your family holiday in Devon!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Nethway Farm Holiday Cottages and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality by Nathan and Lizzie.

The accommodation was immaculately clean and well-maintained. The thoughtful touches, such as apple juice and crab lines added an extra touch of warmth.

Nathan and Lizzie were fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

The location of the cottage was also a major plus. It offered the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience. While we enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the countryside, we were also within a short drive from charming villages, picturesque hiking trails and local amenities.

Overall, our stay at Holiday Farm Cottage was an absolute delight. Nathan and Lizzie's warm hospitality, the idyllic surroundings, and the comfortable accommodation made it a truly memorable experience. We stayed at Nethway Farm in March in the lovely Hyssop cottage. The cottage was beautifully looked after, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the pool was great for the rainy days. The surrounding area was relaxing, quiet and was great for strolling with little ones. Lizzie was incredibly helpful and friendly during our stay - thank you for a lovely stay - we will be back!

Had a fantastic week stay at the delightful Hyssop cottage which was immaculate and catered to everyone. Extra helpful having well stocked kitchen including kids plates, cutlery and bowls etc. It was a beautiful base to come back to after a long day out.

The farm itself is beautifully kept, brilliant playground and softplay for the kids as well as some lovely strolls from the doorstep. Animals are so well kept and loved, and it was a real treat to be able to feed them and stroke them. We even got a chance to bottle feed a couple of lambs which was brilliant!

The hosts Nathan and Lizzie couldn’t do enough for us and made it clear that if we needed anything all we needed to do was ask! They were very welcoming and friendly - it definitely made the holiday feel more like a “home from home” which was great. The boys even got an Easter egg each to take home with them which was a lovely touch.

We all enjoyed use of the swimming pool too which is super handy and lovely and warm! Nice big family changing room and having a one family at a time policy works really nicely - no issue getting a swim a day!

Location wise the place is perfect - 10 mins max from Brixham, Paignton, Coleton Fishacre etc with lovely beaches and cafes. The train ride and ferry over to Dartmouth was also great and again, not hard to reach.

Worth also mentioning the really helpful “app” that you get access to when you book which has a ton of really accessible information about the cottage, farm and local area.

10/10 from us and we can’t wait to visit again!

This was our second stay at Nethway Farm, and it was just as enjoyable as our first. Hyssop Cottage is fabulous, with absolutely everything that we could possibly need during our stay. Using the App before we packed was really helpful, and meant we didn't pack things that were already in the cottage.

The facilities at the farm are fabulous, we love the pool, and spent lots of time down at the mud kitchen! The hosts are so welcoming, and it was lovely to be able to feed the animals with them.

We enoyed it so much we booked our next stay on our drive home! See you next year!!

Our second stay at Nethway Farm (Hyssop) was as comfortable & relaxing as it was a few years ago, if not better. Lizzie was so welcoming & great with the grandchildren, introducing them to the animals which was a hands on experience. The pool was an additional bonus as was the soft play & outdoor play area. loved the walks & the secure garden was perfect. We will definitely revisit & hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. Thank you for your hospitality x

A beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings with so much to do.

The cottage was perfectly suited to our family and was presented in super clean manner. Little thoughtful touches were provided to make the stay comfortable and easy. The location is easy to find with stunning scenery and much to do on site whichever the weather.

There is a reason we go back year after year, it's the best place there is! The cottages and gardens are beautiful, the children love engaging with the animals, the pool is lovely and clean and warm, the games room is always a hit! Lovely property, in an excellent location with great facilities for children and wonderful hosts.

The animals and the swimming pool have this something a little bit special along with some nice touches like ride on kids toys and fishing nets.

Well appointed cottage with everything you need away from home for a self catering holiday.

Would happily recommend.

Great location the cottage has everything you could wish for. Lizzy and Nathan were excellent and responsive hosts. Any minor issues sorted out within minutes- exceptional service.

A menagerie on the farm and a delight to see the goats, sheep, pigs, ponies , hens and ducks so well cared for. Lovely walks from your door.

Only 4 stars on comfort as we found the beds a little hard - but that is probably our problem.I wish there had been a heated towel rail or a tumble dryer to deal with damp towels. The garden didn’t have sun all day so drying them was an issue.

Closed garden so fantastic for our dog.
If you have young children this is paradise and has everything you could wish for to occupy them.

It sounds like the rail had been turned off due to the heat. We shall make sure the switch to turn it on is clearly labelled. We understand beds are very personal. Our beds have 1200 pocket sprung mattresses and guests often ask us on where to purchase them. Thank you for being such wonderful guests and we hope to welcome you back in the future. 2nd trip to Nethway and once again we had a wonderful time. Girls loved feeding thr animals and all the on site activities especially swimming. Great base to explore the local area. Sitting in the outside terrace with a glass of rose in the sun whilst the girls played in the garden was bliss

The title says it all really - we have just returned from a wonderful week at Nethway Farm, and have already booked to return next year.

Pre-Covid we regularly used to stay in cottages 2/3 times a year for our holidays, and Nethway Farm is by far the nicest, cleanest, and has the best facilities that we’ve ever had!

The house was immaculately clean, and had absolutely everything that our family (3 adults, 2 under 3s and 2 small dogs) needed, and nothing was too much trouble for Lizzie and Nathan.

Communication from the date of booking was fantastic, and receiving the online guide book before our arrival certainly helped me pack!

After a long drive, our welcome was lovely, with fresh flowers and dog treats, and we the dogs were quick to explore the secure garden (which even kept our escape artist in).

The swimming pool, soft play, playground, play barn and mud kitchen were huge hits with the children, and it was lovely that they were all so close to the cottage.

Being able to join in feeding the animals is a lovely treat, and was very much appreciated by all of us

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, although a little part of me wants to keep it a secret now we’ve found such a lovely place to stay!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful peaceful rural setting just a short walk from the coastal path. Swimming pool was brilliant, we swam everyday.
Also a massive plus was being able to take our 3 dogs with us, for us it’s no dogs no holiday.
Dog hose and towels for drying the dogs off was provided, which were really useful as we were here in the winter.
