A cosy L shaped sofa wraps around the living room in front of a log burner. A large farmhouse table is at the back of the room and perfect for family and friends to gather around to enjoy a meal. The kitchen opens into the living area so it’s easy for everyone to socialise. The cottage can sleep a total of 6 people plus infant. Please note there is only one large family bathroom with bath and separate shower on the first floor. Downstairs there is a double bedroom overlooking the terrace. Upstairs there is a very spacious king bedroom and triple room which is perfect for children. Both the upstairs bedrooms can fit a full sized cot in. The cottage has an enclosed patio area at the rear, that is soaked in sun during the day and is surrounded by mature interesting plants including a kiwi bush, that has fruit on it in the winter. There is also an open, lawned area at the front. We welcome one small to medium sized, well behaved dog in this cottage.

My family and I stayed in Meadowsweet Cottage for 2 weeks and were immediately impressed with the welcome goodies that awaited our arrival. The little touches, like an extra towel for the dog and doggy treats, were also lovely and thoughtful. Lizzie, Nathan and the girls were very welcoming and always on hand with suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to eat in. Thanks to Lizzie, we had an amazing meal in the Sportmans Arms!
The location is great for day tripping out to see the beautiful surrounding areas, but equally days spent on the farm were stunning and fun filled. The booking system for the swimming pool is excellent and we spent time in there most days. I’m not a keen swimmer, but with the water being so lovely and warm, even I couldn’t keep out! The play barn was also a huge hit with our 2 boys, and we had so many laughs and plenty of friendly competitions with all of the games!
Our youngest had great fun feeding the animals, and was especially fond of the goats. We were even treated to a lovely meal that he cooked up in the mud kitchen. My father went fishing on the lake several times and enjoyed the peace and quiet, and he managed to catch plenty of fish.
There is just so much to do and we would definitely love to visit again.

We had the most wonderful week at Nethway. The property was clean and comfortable with all the equipment needed for a short stay, as well as extra toys and books for children which was great. The animals are healthy and happy in a well maintained environment. On dreary days there was still lots to do - swimming, soft play. We loved our stay and have already recommended the place to our friends

We had a fantastic week in Meadowsweet! We stayed with 4 families with young children all in separate cottages and it worked so well! The facilities are great, our 2 year old loved the park, soft play, mud kitchen and we watched her grow in confidence with the farm animals every day. Thank you Lizzie and family.

This is our third time staying at Nethway, the accommodation is excellent, clean and spacious, our grandchildren love helping out on the farm feeding the animals, the mud kitchen is great for those home made mud pies, lots of games in the barn and the swimming pool is fab. With or without children it is a brilliant place to stay.
Brixham and Dartmouth are not far away, lots of wonderful walks around the area, train ride from Kingswear to Paignton is great.
Would I book again, yes most definitely!!

We are just back from a blissful relaxing week at Nethway. Lizzie was fantastic with the kids and so helpful. The farm is in a spectacular setting and we only left 3 afternoons all week as we were enjoying the pool, farm, play areas and the cottage so much. Every detail is thought of to make your stay easy including toys provided for the age of your kids. Cottage is high quality and a great layout - the photos dont do it justice. Having access to the animals and feeding opportunities was fantastic and our children grew with confidence all week. It was so relaxing having the freedom to let the kids run around without worrying. Ours are 3 and 18 months and it was perfect. I have already recommended it to my friends!

We have stayed at Nethway farm for the past 20 plus years. The accommodation is superb and its always great to have a such a warm welcome. We love using the swimming pool and seeing the animals. Beautiful location and near to so many attractions - Woodlands, beaches, walks, Steam train etc. We will be back again in 2024!

This was our second visit to Nethway Farm having stayed in summer 2022. This time the seasons were different and there was lots of new life on the farm. Our children loved bottle feeding the lambs and holding the newly hatched chicks on top of the usual feeding of goats and horses.
The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. The swimming pool lovely and warm and a massive hit with our family. The spring rain made the mud kitchen even better and the stream running alongside it was brilliant fun to paddle in.
It’s a fabulous place and we had a thoroughly wonderful holiday

We all really enjoyed staying at Nethway Farm once again and stayed in the Meadowsweet Cottage for the second time.

Such a relaxing place to stay, plenty for the kids to do on their own, exploring the farm, games room, outside play area and mud kitchen. The pigs and goats were definitely very well fed each day, which they really enjoyed.

Private use of the heated indoor swimming pool is definitely a highlight with the kids who'd stay in it all day if they could! Our youngest got more and more confident eith her swimming during our stay which was great.

Great location to use as a base to explore the wider area made even easier by the regular local ferries. We even managed a trip over to the Eden Project which was great.

Would definitely recommend staying in any of the cottages which are all of a really high standard and have all the things you need for a week away from home.

Looking forward to our next stay already!

We always enjoy our stays at Nethway. Meadowsweet was a lovely cottage and Lizzie and Nathan were excellent hosts. The number of on site facilities adds to the appeal of this complex. The pool and soft play area, in particular, were given a thorough workout by the grandchildren. This years’ addition of a guest app was really useful and informative.

This was our 4th visit to nethway and next year is already booked. Great place to stay with kids and dog... swimming, animals, soft play on site. Bed guards and cots and high chairs if you need them. Great location for dartmouth, brixham and the coastal walks with the dog

We had a fab stay at Nethway, our children loved the animals...especially Storm the pony and the pygmy goats! Swimming, the play area and the ride on kids toys were a big hit! Lizzy, Nathan and their girls are really welcoming and always on hand to help with animal cuddles and feeding! We had a fun and restful trip :)

It’s hard to imagine a more perfect place for a UK family holiday than Nethway Farm. Lizzie and Nathan have thought of so many details and little touches that make it a really special place to enjoy quality time as a family. The kids love the swimming pool, soft play, ride on toys and being able to feed the farm animals. The cottages a beautiful and so well equipped. Lizzie is a fantastic host with so much time for you. Our second year at Nethway, and by no means the last. Beautiful setting with all the trimmings associated with being on a farm.
Cottage was spacious and fantastically well appointed, down to the provided BBQ on the private terrace.
We spent the week exploring lovely national trust locations all within a short drive.
The children loved the small basket of toys in the lounge, very nice touch.
We all adore the swimming pool and our daily trips for a swim.
Thoroughly recommend to anyone with Children.
Absolutely without fault.
Thank you Lizzie and Nathan, we had another amazing holiday with lots of memories to cherish.

We loved everything about our stay, from the stylish well equipped cottage with a lovely sun terrace, to the on site facilities including a soft play, swimming pool and farm animals. We had a warm welcome on arrival and the owners were super helpful with any needs we had. Brilliant for families and only a short distance from several lovely seaside towns and beaches. Completely recommended!

Meadow Sweet Cottage is roomy and well equipped, there was even treats for the dog !! The children (11-18) enjoyed feeding the animals and the play barn which was large enough for a good kick about and was a great place for the older kids to play pool. Lots of fantastic walks nearby. Owners were very helpful and friendly. We were sad to leave and will be back soon.

Fantastic holiday at Nethway Farm with friends and family as part of a surprise 40th birthday!

Absolutely top rate service and quality accommodation.

Plenty for the kids to do on the farm, exploring the paddocks, lake and woodland trails and feeding the animals.

Fresh eggs for breakfast everyday.

Swimming pool and games barn were great.

Lots to do and see in the local area too.

So impressed we booked again for next year!
