This is was our second stay on the Neidpath Estate but our first in this property. It was every bit as perfect as the first. Comfortable, cosy, well equipped cottage with plenty of space and lots of quirky and classy features. If you want to be close to amenities this is not for you but for us it was a perfect, secluded location with fabulous views. We will definitely be back.

What a fantastic thoughtful job you have done on remodelling the house . It is efficient, comfortable and luxurious. Please dont give up on the lineny handtowels and the extra large sheepskin bedrugs and the other small unhouse rental touches that make it unique. We had dreich and glorious weather moments as to be expected in March and all I would have liked was longer to curl up with the books and the DVD collection and take in the 360 degree views. No problem about having enough sheep to count to fall asleep at any time of day. I like lots of information which others maybe could not be bothered with and would have liked to learn more about how the energy system worked . Was it set so the temp was greater in early morning and evening and lesser during the day ( including the hot water) ? We have O2 as a provider and got zilch phone signal in the house but fine immediately outside the backdoor ? Some info on walking up behind the house on the estate? My 5 for location is because I wanted to be all alone in a wee house up on a hill and knew something about the immediate area anyway. It is very much a lonesome compared with the BarnsTower properties. Completely Restorative thankyou

Having stayed in another of Lulu's properties, I knew I'd be in for a treat when I booked to stay at her recently renovated 'Townhead,' - and I wasn't wrong. Lavishly decorated and practically equipped, including the wood-fired hot-tub, plenty of reading material and an exquisite en-suite bathroom, it's the perfect base for exploring the Borders.

The accommodation was exceptional with all the the necessary self catering equipment and rooms at a high standard and of course the hot tub. Stayed for for nights in early November with my partner and parents. This property is amazing. Beautiful decor and from what it seems to say on the Neidpath website, lovingly rescued, restored and extended. It was a shame it was too cold and wet for us to use the decking area on this occasion. It ticked all the boxes for is. Rural, very quiet with no one close yet within an easy drive from all the facilities you can need. We've stayed in various places around Peebles over the past seven years and this is by far the best place we have found.

Townhead is an exceptional home for comfort and elegance. We enjoyed our stay with friends, quiet and peaceful location, a short drive to Peebles and Innerleithen.

The house is beautiful , very well equipped and beautifully decorated, the master bedroom bath is awesome, however it’s quite remote so if you want to stay then a car is a must , and stock up on groceries too before hand , we we’re attending a family wedding at the castle and foolishly thought we could walk to the venue! It’s 10 minutes in a car and something of a hike if you’re walking so something to bear in mind , some of the local taxis were able to find us but the drivers bringing us and taking us back to Edinburgh struggled to find the location , if you are looking for beautiful and majestic isolation with all mod cons then it’s definitely the place for you

Traditional with all mod cons. Absolutely stunning accommodation. Loved our chilled few days. The thoughtful little extras and gorgeous toiletries all added to the luxury feel. Perhaps a couple of robes for the hottub would be our only suggestion. Definitely be back

My husband, Mother in law and myself spent three days at this amazing house. Beautifully furnished and decorated, we couldn’t have asked for better accommodation. Equipped with everything we needed. Large dining kitchen, lovely cozy lounge with wood burning fire. A beautiful en-suite twin bedroom downstairs opening to a large decked area with amazing views as far as can be seen. A four poster bedroom upstairs with a gorgeous large dressing room with a walk in shower and deep bath. Stunning views of surrounding hillside from every window. So very peaceful. Loved every minute. We will be back.

A gorgeous house, tastefully decorated, set in a beautiful landscape. A perfect hideaway, with good walks leading off from the house. I had planned on using the house as a base to explore the Tweed valley from, but it was hard to tear myself away from such a comfortable place. Ended up spending much more time than anticipated reading books from the houses library by the fire. Perfect.

This house is a home you do not ever want to leave. Beautifully designed, with views to the surroundings from every space, it provides comfort and on all levels. Highlights are the superb bathroom with open fireplace, wonderful beds, well equipped kitchen, porch with hottub. We left feeling inspired, rested and in love with the region.
