This house is so, so lovely. From the moment you see it as you wend your way up past the farm to when you walk in the door and see the beautifully decorated rooms, you will be beyond pleased. The view looking up at the house is stunning and the view from the house looking across the valley at daybreak is equally so. Everything in the house is welcoming and comfortable. The cozy living room with fireplace was a favorite spot and the bedrooms with ensuite baths were perfect. The staff were amazing at keeping this surprise visit for my husbands birthday. Amazing place to visit and stay and would throughly recommend getting chef in to prepare evening meal. Thank you to chefs Chris and Dougie and a massive thank you to Sandy, Rachel and Katarina for all your help
Really lovely weekend at The Bothy. Wonderful welcome pack - particularly as it’s quite far from shops - we needn’t have brought half what we did! Had a fun few minutes trying to get the fire fan going (instructions would have been great). The big problem for us was that having booked it on the Neidpath website, we assumed it would be near the castle - where we were attending a wedding. Having to drive there (and back) somewhat spoiled the occasion. We stayed in The Barns Library for 5 nights. Everything about the accommodation and location is superb. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked again, but this time to stay in The Tower. Whether you want a nice romantic time with a four poster bed and a wood burner, and/or walks in the woods, this place is perfect. We cannot recommend it highly enough
It was a birthday present for my husband and it was a great success. He was so happy about it and enjoyed every second. Hopefully we will come back one day!
The location was ideal—nestled in nature and history, yet just a short walk or drive into Peebles. We had a guest with limited mobility, and the place was wonderfully accessible. The rooms were beautiful and cozy, making the stay absolutely perfect.
