The place is magical. The most beautiful location on a hill, surrounded by grazing sheep. Close enough to everything. The place itself of the highest quality and well equipped. Do not miss the tour of Neidpath Castle!
Stylish, clean, comfortable, warm and peaceful refurbished cottage for two within a courtyard development. Very large private garden which catches the sunshine and every type of bird song you could hope for. Very handy for lovely Tweed side walks and glorious views. Very prompt response by the customer service team to a bathroom issue we had. Loved it!
It was really cool having a whole castle to ourselves for the night. There is clearly a lot of history here. Nice to be able to explore. Keep an eye out for the secret room! The price is very reasonable for having a whole castle to yourself. The caretakers we met were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Peebles is a lovely little town where we were able to find restaurants and shops. Overall a great experience.
Wonderful stay at Barns Bothy. Extremely comfortable and well provisioned. Great communication - accurate, timely and not overbearing! Beautiful location; fabulous walks and close to town. A real break away for the norm. Will return!
We had a 3 night stay in Barns Tower for my husbands birthday. It's a magical place beautifully restored, comfortable without losing charm. Its was -2°c on our first night but the tower was surprisingly warm day and night. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable and the shower in the boot room is hot and powerful. There are some lovely walks from the tower and the pleasant walk into Peebles with its many cafés, pubs and shops took just over an hour. I'm sure we'll return for our next 'big' birthday celebration.
Another enjoyable stay in Neidpath Barmkin, fantastic location with easy access to Peebles and lovely river views. Have stayed many times and look forward to the next time.
Lovely relaxing stay. Very comfortable and spacious. Great location. Thoughtful welcoming pack. Beautiful gardens and outdoor space. Huge four poster bed and grand bath.
