This a superb 5 Star detached barn offers spacious living accommodation and entertainment space, ideal for larger families or groups of friends. This stunning Georgian Hay barn has been newly converted into a spectacular 6 bedroomed Holiday Cottage. The interior has been lovingly restored keeping the impressive oak trusses and beans, along with the original brick pillars, these appear throughout the building, which creates a wonderful luxurious atmosphere. The barn has incredible views looking directly out across a picturesque wild life pond and then on across the farmland, looking over into Cheshire and Wales. These views can be admired through the full length windows. Relax and enjoy watching the rich wildlife outside, whilst sipping something bubbly inside. A truly beautiful holiday cottage.

Stayed for a week in Buttercups Hay Barn. The barn itself was lovely , clean, living areas spacious and the outside space was awesome ! The kids loved having the ability to play tennis , badminton, football and rounders and generally have space to run about. The village is lovely and quiet and pretty surroundings.

There is absolutely loads to do for families in the local area - we went to bewilderwood, Rednal go karting, British ironwork centre, ellesmere and went on lots of nice walks. We ate out at the combermere arms and Etzio - both a 10-15 minute drive away and both were lovely.

Owners were really helpful with any questions we had both before and during our stay. The only slight negative we had was that the beds are all doubles and we are all used to larger beds at home, but apart from that , ten out of ten!

Spacious clean & comfortable.Ground floor kitchen, dinning area flows nicely & lounge had plenty of seating .Our granddaughter who was crawling enjoyed the freedom of being able to crawl around downstairs areas if doors were left open! Kitchen well supplied with plenty of cutlery pots pans glasses for 8 adults 2 children & a baby! Fridge/freezer good size, cooker & dishwasher easy to use, home from home.
Extra toys & dishes for the little ones were supplied by host when we informed them the children were coming from abroad which really helped keeping the children entertained. The upstairs being accessed by two separate staircase meant the children with parents were away from the grandparents which was great for a decent nights sleep!. Excellent communication from Emma & James both before & during our stay. A pity the weather wasn’t better to enjoy the outdoor tennis courts & football pitch, swimming pool great, booking facility a great idea. My only negative comment is wardrobe space very small in all rooms we lived out of our cases for a week but managed. Stair gates easy to use & travel cot supplied by host.
Plenty of places nearby to enjoy something for every age & cottage has plenty of leaflets & flyers for things to do & places to eat.
We as a family enjoyed our stay & have some wonderful memories of our stay at Alkington Grange barns thank you Emma & James.

We were a party of 10 and had more than enough room to not be under each others feet. It was spotlessly clean and warm.
The views were amazing and the on site swimming pool was a nice addition that we appreciated.
Lots of things to do in the area while being far enough away that we wasn't hindered by the bustle of a township.
I can't recommend enough and we will be looking at returning.

We stayed in this converted barn last Autumn. The cottage was warm, spotless and an amazing space for my family to get together. We enjoyed the on site pool and sports area over a long weekend.
Whitchurch is a charming town around 10 min away with lots of little shops to explore.
I am planning to return and would recommend!
