Miller’s Hill has the most spectacular view which captures you immediately. We spent hours watching the tides come and go. The lodge is modern, clean and well maintained. Parking is good. The lane up easily negotiable and there are walks from the door. You have lots of wildlife to watch from hundreds of bunnies which drive the dog mad to red kites to deer. The peaceful setting is soothing and clever placing of the lodges keep them private and secluded. The walk to Gatehouse of Fleet is doable and interesting through Cally Wood. Hill back is a good workout! There is fencing to the garden but the garden is not secure for a dog which might wander and there is livestock and horses in neighbouring fields. We loved our week. Thoroughly recommend Miller’s Hill.

Hi Barbara, Thank you for such a lovely review, and for the five stars across the board. It means a lot that the view captured you the way it did. Watching the tide come and go from Millers Hill is one of my favourite things about that lodge too, and it sounds like you had good company from the bunnies, red kites and deer while you were at it. Thank you as well for the honest note on the garden fencing. You are right that it is not fully secure against a determined dog, especially with livestock and horses in the neighbouring fields, and I will make sure that is flagged more clearly for dog owners booking Millers Hill going forward. Glad the walk into Gatehouse of Fleet through Cally Wood was one of the highlights, hill back and all. It is one of the best doorstep walks we have at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges. We have stayed here several times now, and it is perfect every time, the peace and the view can’t be beaten and the lodge is fantastic.

Great views in a peaceful location. Very comfortable lodge with lots of room for 4 adults. More or less all you needed but maybe some more plates, bowls and cutlery?
James was very helpful and lots of information is provided on the portal.

We found these lodges 2 years ago, and have returned several times since, such wonderful scenery and just so relaxing, always look forward to returning.

We both love these lodges as the setting is so peaceful. The location is wonderful with a view down over the bay at Gatehouse of Fleet. The lodges are very well appointed and cater for all your needs. Beds are comfy and good size so it's hard not to have a cosy night's sleep. The log burner was an extra for us as it made the evening pass with reminiscing.
The wild life outside is a joy to watch particularly when the Kites are soaring over the field in front of the lodges.

Our second stay at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges. Millers Hill is the newest one and up to the standard of the other lodges.
Well equipped, warm and comfortable.
Fabulous views even in the rainy weather.
Excellent communication with James - always prompt with a reply.
We'll be back.

Having stayed in November we knew what to expect, but this was even better!
The Welcome Box was fantastic and everything was ready as the forecast was awful for Sunday.
The beds are enormous and so comfy you didn’t want to surface too early but we had some great weather for walks,Beaches and visits to Gatehouse GC.
Didn’t need the woodburner as it was mild but that would’ve been a treat.
We’re all set to book again soon.
