We recently stayed at Seascape and loved it. The Lodge is superb with everything you need. The views from the lodge are amaising. Its so peaceful - we haven't slept as well for a long time! The countryside in Galloway is beautiful, with lots of places to visit and things to do. Donald was a pleasure to deal with, professional, helpful and efficient. We won't hesitate to come back!!

Lovely lodge, very comfortable, had everything you would need and more. Views amazing, very peaceful . A great area for walking. Would definitely recommend. And we hope to return in the future. We very much enjoyed our stay at Seascape and it was the perfect base for exploring the area. We loved the open plan layout of the lodge and the views over Fleet Bay were wonderful! We had everything we needed in the lodge and really appreciated the powerful showers with lots of hot water! Customer service was excellent, with good communication before our stay, through Donald, who was very helpful. We also got to meet James, the owner, who was very welcoming and helpful also.

The lodge is very well equipped and well placed for touring Galloway with good local amenities and visitor attractions all close by.
The lodge was very clean and comfortable, only lacking in some comfortable outside furniture.
I would recommend this lodge.

We had a great week at Seascape. The Lodge was just right for us. A great location with a superb view across the bay.

Only criticism we could make is that the trays for the oven were in bad condition and need replacing.

Location of lodge is towards the top of a moderate hill so the views across to the sea were amazing - in every weather condition.

Lodge was very well equipped and spacious; good selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants in Gatehouse of Fleet which is 1.5 miles away.

Lots of wildlife to see from the weasel to the magnificent red kites and the local rabbit population.

Special mention to Donald et al for sorting out an issue with specialist medical supplies - customer service above and beyond. Very much appreciated.

Only slight negative was the track leading from the road to the lodge which had some wicked potholes.

Our first time visiting this part of Scotland. The location (near Gatehouse of Fleet) is very central to the area making it a good base for exploring the region.
The lodge (Seascape) was spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and in a quiet rural location with super views to the estuary.
The 'welcome pack' of chilled white wine, milk and biscuits was much appreciated !
We hope to return as there's much more to see and do in the area and would readily book this lodge again.

Very comfortable stay. Modern and warm with underfloor heating if required. Useful utility room. Shed for bikes.

Water pressure for showers and bath excellent.

Very peaceful surroundings and super view. Very relaxing and outside private area.

Beautifully located lodge with outstanding and expansive views of the surrounding countryside and right to the coast.

Everything necessary for a peaceful and restful break for two not so fit over 70s.
It would also be perfect for younger fitter families into walking and biking.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Our week stay in Seascape was fabulous. The lodge is immaculate and caters for everything, with extra touches such as Sonos speakers in the ceiling and shed to store our bikes. The views are ever changing with the weather and we were lucky to experience a clear sky one night with the stars which was amazing. Gatehouse of Fleet is a great base for seeing the area with a couple of pubs and coffee shops. We are already planning our next visit. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at Seascape during a cold week in February. A lovely, warm, comfortable lodge with huge picture windows to look out to the Fleet estuary.
Very well equipped and very comfortable, lots of space in the property.
Lovely walking in the area, either around Gatehouse of Fleet or a little further into the Galloway Forest.
And, particularly, so warm to come back to after a day out in the cold!

This was our second stay at Seascape, the lodge is in a lovely location with stunning views, it was clean, warm and welcoming, with everything you need for a relaxing break. It is within easy reach of Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkudbright, with all its museums and restaurants, I would highly recommend the Ship inn, it has excellent food with big portions and reasonable prices. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the lodge to anyone it is just idilic, I will be back!

A lovely lodge, set on the hillside overlooking the Solway Firth. Well sign posted off the road in Gatehouse of Fleet. The lodge had everything we needed for a nice relaxing stay. Great views, plenty of wildlife plus the cows and sheep.

We loved our week in Seascape. It was so peaceful and just what was needed to recharge our batteries.
The lodge is very comfortably furnished with everything you need for self catering. The kitchen is more than well equipped for holiday cooking. Plenty of places to eat in the area and we found plenty to do.
Access to Seascape was so easy and would be suitable for those with mobility issues.
Bed are comfy and we slept well.
The views over the estuary are constantly changing and the dark skies in the evening give you the ideal condi(weather permitting) to view the stars.
This is the ideal place to unwind, watch nature and chill.

Have just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Gatehouse of Fleet luxury lodges. On arrival the lodges were immaculate and very well equipped. The views are stunning and the location provided us with complete privacy while being near enough to visit several nearby attractions. Our group ranged from age 8 - 64 and everyone had a great time. We would love e to return.

Right from beginning to end our experience was marked by the word “QUALITY”
Booking, arrival, venue, facility etc we’re all top rate. Lodge was warm and the hot water was plentiful for showers and baths. These features and all the others made our holiday truely fantastic!

If you like a relaxing holiday this is the place to be. Beautiful accommodation with amazing views of the countryside and sea. The lodge is very well equipped with comfy couches and beds. The owner has put a lot of thought into catering for families as well as people with mobility issues like myself. There is plenty of outside space to enjoy.

We’ve been trying to book one of these lodges for about a year now since we spotted them on a previous visit to Gatehouse, finally everything aligned and we managed to get a week there 9th to 16th June 2023.
You know what? The wait was worth it! The lodge is in a lovely location with stunning views, it was clean and well presented and is without doubt one of, if not the best we have stayed at.
There are four in total, but you have complete privacy as unlike some places you have distance between them, and you are not overlooked.
They are close to the facilities of Gatehouse which has everything you need, though when I say close I mean a five minute drive or if you are inclined about a 15 minute walk. Gatehouse has a couple of nice pubs with great food, a cafe and small supermarket. It even has vehicle charging points so you can charge whilst having your dinner.
The lodges aren’t the cheapest, but be reassured that you get what you pay for and it is worth paying the extra for the view alone.
All in all I would not hesitate to recommend or return to any of the four lodges in the future.

This is a fabulous place to stay with all the comfort and convenience you could want. The lodge itself is built to a high standard and the location is superb being set up high in a rural landscape overlooking the Fleet estuary. There are plenty of places to visit and explore nearby and the walks are varied. Highlights for us were watching about 60 Red Kites coming for food to a farm feeding station, walking round Threave Gardens and visiting Carrick Beach.

Lovely lodge with beautiful view down valley to the sea. Great location, not far off A75 but surrounded by fields. Lots to see and do in the area.

We stayed in seascape over the whit week and we were not disappointed. It really is a home from home, with all the home comforts you could ask for- especially with two young children in tow. Communication with the host was fast and easy and the lodge extremely clean. The views really are breath taking and the surrounding area is wonderful to explore. Thank you for such a wonderful week- we will be back!

Beautiful lodges and outstanding views across the bay. Stayed with family in both lodges which was lovely as our grandchildren are ages 2,4,and 6 years and we had no concerns around their safety and they were free to play on the grass at the front of the lodges.
This is by no means a downside to the accommodation but maybe a little swing or slide for the children would be nice especially for families staying here as there are times when you want to just rest and take in the views without having to leave the lodges. On the whole amazing time had by all. Thank you so much!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the lodge. Communications with both Donald and owner were good.
We revisited our favourite places in the area and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. Did a cheese making workshop at Cream O Galloway (Ethical Dairy) Which we really enjoyed and would recommend.
We found the lodge warm, clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that I found the mattress on either bed too soft. This obviously depends on individual choice and if anything we were too hot with the quilt provided.
Anyone visiting later in the year will hopefully be told that building of what looks like other lodges next to Seascape. Will be happening. Not sure how this will effect anyones stay.

Hello Jean, thank you very much for your comments. We really appreciate your feedback. As regards the mattress, this is difficult to meet everybody's needs and we tend to go for a medium to firm mattress. I hope it didn't detract too much from your stay. As for the works, we won't be carrying out heavy, noisy works during anybody's stay. If we need to do this we will block off weeks to do this so it doesn't impact anybody's holiday. It's a lovely place to stay,warm and cosy,everything you could ask for on a weekend break.We were late arriving it was to find that lights had been left on,such a lovely welcome.

This was our second stay at Seascape and after our first we made a few small suggestions that wee thought might make perfect even better. We were not surprised to find they had been actioned showing the excellent level of customer service we have experienced throughout.
Once again this is a quality lodge of the highest standard and it is still the view that just makes it an amazing location. Different more cloudy weather this time but still an ever changing light on the landscape - sea mist one minute, sun on the hills in the distance the next minute.
Great location just outside lovely Gatehouse of Fleet and an easy drive to so many places of outstanding beauty and interest.
Good Wi-Fi, smart tv's, amazing sound system too for those who, like us, like those things to be available.
Our recommendation is just even stronger after this latest stay.

The quality of the build and contents is first class. Spacious and well appointed we felt comfortable and at home from first walking through the door and we also knew by then that any support we might need would be dealt with promptly and efficiently.
There is one major selling point for us above all others. Yes we thought the lodge was good value. Yes we were impressed with the quality of everything provided for our use. Yes the bed was comfortable and so on .......BUT THE VIEWS are stunning!
An ever changing panoramic view of fields, sea, heather covered hills and big sky viewed through the floor to ceiling glass wall is simply amazing. The light is ever changing, the clouds always different, the sheep and cows always in motion and red kites flying and hovering overhead make it very difficult to tear oneself away to do anything else.
Gatehouse is a lovely little town with all one might need and the surrounding area is some of the most beautiful countryside you could wish for.
Oh and when it's dark, turn off the lights, sit on the deck and be star struck - because there are thousands and thousands of them to be seen.
We have booked again in January and again in May, using this as a base to visit our 96 year old Mother/Mother in Law and are so glad we found this truly excellent lodge.

The lodge was amazing. Cleanest and best set up self catering accommodation that we have ever stayed in. Made us feel comfortable and settled as soon as we arrived. Lovely bedding and comfortable beds. Appreciated all the little touches provided around the house, alongside great appliances and kitchenware. Situated in a lovely rural, tranquil spot with excellent views. We will definitely stay again.

Just back from a week’s break at Seascape. Lovely lodge, great setting. It is well laid out and has everything you need. The views are stunning. We would definitely recommended it. The only recommendation we have, which has no reflection on the lodge, would be to pre book if u want to dine out as the local restaurants were very busy and booked up days in advance.

Well appointed and presented lodge affording beautiful views over the bay. Set back a short way from the road so feels secluded but remains within easy reach of amenities and tourist spots.

Stayed here in July, 21 aided by the fabulous weather we had a great time.
The lodge was as in the photos, nicely decorated, was clean, well appointed and had great views of fleet bay. Lots of room for parking and a bike shed.
It doesn't have much garden, but there are plenty of coves/ beaches and things to do nearby. Could do with more plates/ bowls so not needing to do the dishwasher between sittings. Would definitely recommend and return. The resident rabbits and bird life kept us entertained! Note local village has basic shopping only stop off at farmshop Kilnford ( dumfries) if you are looking local meat other than burgers and sausages found in local shop.

Lodge has the wow factor as soon as you walk through the door .Everything you need to have the perfect holiday .We was lucky to have 2 weeks of wall to wall sunshine,the views from the decking are awesome and we found lots of walks from the lodge without using the car, we hope to come back .

Seascape is such a haven of peace. And what a view! We loved returning to such comfort at the end of each day to watch the ever-changing light over Fleet Bay. Our week there was perfect. The location was fantastic for accessing a wide variety of walks and cycle routes in the area. It was very hard to leave! Donald could not have been more helpful. We are already planning a return visit.

We had a woderful time and the place was spotless. Everything we needed was there and the views are amazing as they change with daylight and the weather.
There was a family of rabbits outside each morning and evening under the pation area. We even say foxes and then later deer in the upper field.
We were quite close to Gatehouse town when we wanted to go shopping or just admiring the all whtewashed properties along the main street.
We would certainly be hoping to stay again, but this is already booked up for the whole of this year, so not much time left to get our names down for next year, now, before ti's too late !!!

We had a lovely short break to Gatehouse of Fleet. The lodge is beautiful, with everything you need for your stay. The view of Fleet bay is great. We would definitely return for another holiday.

We loved our stay and found the lodge to be well equipped with every home comfort and felt really cosy in the stormy weather over weekend. Really comfy bed in main bedroom to ensure a good nights sleep. The kitchen was ideal and had everything we needed to make meals during our stay. Already recommending this lodge to family and friends while hoping we can return again in very near future. Lots more of Dumfries & Galloway still to explore and this place makes an ideal base. Overall 10/10 definitely a luxury lodge!

We fell in love with the house as soon as we arrived. The house is so bright and spacious with stunning uninterrupted views across to the sea. Everything is finished to a high standard and the house is really well equipped with everything you could need. There's even a bike hut which is great for keeping your bikes out of the rain. The house is a great base for exploring the many walking and cycling routes in the area. Definitely the best holiday rental we've been to and we've booked to go back.

A week at Seascape was the perfect autumn break and exceeded our expectations in every way.

Wonderful quiet, peaceful hillside position with panoramic views looking towards the coast and Fleet Bay. The position of the lodge is perfect with light flooding in throughout the day from early morning until sunset. We loved the glass fronted living area and watched the local wildlife entertained us in early evening with rabbits scurrying around outside and several red kites providing an a close at hand air display in the field in front.

In terms of quality and comfort Seascape is definitely 5 star, it seems no expense has been spared in ensuring your stay is first class.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Seascape and I'm sure there will be many more visits to come.

First impressions are everything and our first impression of this lodge was great. Very clean and spacious and easy to follow instructions to access the lodge. The facilities in the lodge were excellent as was the stunning outlook to the Solway Firth. The lodge is well located providing a good base to explore Dumfries and Galloway and is very comfortable to relax in after a day walking. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would book again.

What an amazing find!
Brand new property in an idyllic location with fantastic views.
The house is very comfortable with every amenity & tastefully decorated.

The only thing that could have been better was the weather. Seascape is a truly luxurious lodge, extremely well equipped and with wonderful views over the bay. It was very clean when we arrived and we felt very safe. We will definitely return.
