Create lasting memories in the classic Victorian, Dalnaglar Castle, situated within the beautiful Dalnaglar Castle estate, on the southern fringe of the Cairngorms National Park. Relax and rewind with friends and family in this delightful 10 bedroomed castle that provides accommodation for up to 20 overnight guests.
This is my third time at the Castle, and I love it more each time. It's hard to think of a better venue if you want stunning scenery at an affordable price.
We stayed at Easter Caiplich with our family of four daughters - eldest 9 and youngest 3 months. It was idyllic. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. The hot tub was a huge family favourite with the added ducks and highland cows thrown in for company whilst relaxing. The weather was on our side so we had clear skies most nights. The grounds and Cateran trail walks were beautiful. We explored Pitlochry, Ballater and Braemar and loved every minute. We hope to return soon. It is a very special place.
Spent a lovely week unwinding in Wester Caiplich, enjoying the hot tub and being serenaded by the ducks. Had one day where it rained in true Scottish fashion but spent it in the comfortable lounge.
Walks around the estate and further afield are mapped in the welcome pack, and the Lair cafe is a short drive or half hour walk for light lunch or coffee and fresh baked scones. Visit the Persie gin distillery or drive up to Braemar or on to Ballater over one of the best driving roads in Britain.
My only request would be for some upgraded garden furniture and a table so I could have ate outsid...more
