Great location and comfortable cottage but in need of some attention. Toilets were very clean but door handle on downstairs toilet did not work as was the case for some of the bedroom lamps and down lighters. All pots and pans in the kitchen need replacing especially the frying pan and kettle.
There was also no starter logs for the wood burner as stated on website.

The cottage was a fantastic place for an escape.
Unfortunately a few incidents detracted from it slightly, I would stay again in the hope that I just got unlucky this time but would be cautiousabout recommending

Firstly the security deposit situation was unfortunate. Asked to actually deposit the amount (which I have never been asked to do before) and asked to pay for the hot tub which had already been paid, then having a hold put on my card as well. To get the deposit returned took two emails, a text message and two messenger messages over a couple of weeks which was again unfortunate.

On arrival at the cottage, we'll beyond the 4pm check in the cottage wasn't ready - if this is going to happen a wee heads up would have been appreciated as it was a little awkward turning up with two dogs and hanging around out front waiting (not knowing at this point where we could or couldn't go)

When I got into the cottage the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, including dirty spa towels left from the previous guests.

There was a very generous bag of logs for the burner but no kindling, which was unfortunate as I didn't want to leave the estate for the first couple of days so couldn't have a fire.

We came back from a long sweaty walk one day to find the hot water from our cottage being used to fill the neighbours hot tub which was unfortunate as it meant a rather unpleasant cold shower was the only option.

Apart from these bits the kitchen could do with a couple of extra bits such as baking trays and a better tin opener.

The good parts were very good though with lovely walks from the door or within an hours drive, lots of wildlife and the lovely hot tub to enjoy.

We stayed in the cottage for a week and had the best time in Scotland.
We saw a lot every day: deer, stags, various birds and highland cattle.
We drank the best water from the spring and felt very comfortable. the cottage is very nice, well equipped and comfortable. After hiking there is nothing better than sitting in the hot tub.

The cottage was very nice. Sitting in the hot tub with views of lovely scenery, deers and Highland cows was special. There are some excellent walks next to the cottage and of course proximity to many munros etc.

The cottage is 15 miles from the nearest town so best prepare all the essentials. The main supermarkets deliver though.

Geoff the manager was amazingly attentive and was always on hand to help when asked.

We have loved our holiday, enjoyed exploring the grounds, visiting villages/towns
Location is very isolated but if that’s what you want it’s perfect.
Kids loved the wildlife within the grounds and the hot tub was a bonus!
The cottage is beautiful, clean, warm and homely. We had everything plus more
We are all now feeling very relaxed just before Christmas
Thank you

We have just returned from a fabulous break in the beautiful Dalnaglar cottage in the Cairngorms. Set in a stunning location on a private estate there are long walks right from the front door into the woodlands, down to the river and around the impressive estate and end the day with a glass of Bubbly in the hot tub before cosying up In front of great large screen TV with full Tv package.
The Children loved visiting Balmoral Castle, Blair Castle and Pitlochry which were all a short drive through some spectacular scenery.
The Cottage was very well equipped for all our needs and any questions were answered quickly by Rob who made are stay run smoothly.
Tesco deliver regularly from Blairgowrie and With a quaint country cafe at the end of the road for afternoon tea and a cake Shack ( a must see cabin full of delicious goodies), 5 minutes drive away we had everything we needed.
The Cottage was spotless ( it says pets allowed but you couldn’t tell at all ).
We can’t wait to return again next year

Dalnaglar cottage was clean and comfortable, set in a beautiful and peaceful rural location with excellent views from the front of the house. The hot tub was a big attraction and was well maintained.
The provision of a couple of small bed side tables and a bedside lamp would have made a very considerable improvement to the comfort and amenity of the upstairs bedroom, and a shelf in the upstairs toilet area would help.
The kitchen equipment was adequate but a few more items of cutlery and particularly, better quality cooking utensils(the plastic spoons were like soft rubber) would have been appreciated.
However these points did not detract from a very enjoyable stay.
